The Torah tells us to listen to doctors regarding Yom Kippur, see O’CH 618, where if the person says he does not need to eat, we listen to the doctor.

It is only a deorayso if a mitzvo derabonon makes it a deorayso because mideorayso just taken it without shaking it is enough. mideagbeh nofek beh.

Ben Levi, to have proper hishtadlus we need information available to the president and withholding that wlll make one sick, needing great defenders (prakletim gedolim) to be cured which one might not be worthy of after illness. For this reason, Hashem creates the cure before tbe illness and we are suppose to pray not to get sick but prayer alone is not enough when the illness is rampant (shechiach hezeika).

We are not suppose to throw a rock in a well or step on a piece of bread because we are denying the good He bestowed on us. Similarly by destroying the envirinment we are denying His good.

Trump’s actions and behavior reflect his beliefs and intentions. He told a reporter to remove the mask. He made fun of Biden for wearng a mask. He removed his mask when entering the WH. Having a mask in his pocket does not protect him.

Biden might become different when he becomes president, a safek whereas Trump we know who he is, a vaday. On this we say, ein safek motzei midei vaday, the vaday rules over the safek.

A smart person is not afraid to listen to the others advice which he disagrees with in order not to have tunnel vision. The Midrash Shmuel explains tbat the Beis Hilel wanted because of their humility, which they kearned from their rebbi, allow the Beis Shamai to reveal their view first before they let their own view be known, thereby the Beis Shamai also became praiseworthy by helping the Beis Hilel arrive to the truth.

What is the use of davening for him when he endangers himself again? We should daven when healed,
Hashem should give him proper understanding to protect himself and not remove proudly his mask when returning back to the WH encouraging others to also remove it and thereby infecting each other.

The word sukkoh, as explained by the Lacmei Todah (son of the Haflaoh), is made up of two parts mercy (26) and judgement (din, 65) where the mercy in the middle breaks up the din.

Syag, your sarcasm is appreciated. It does not mean that you live your life in fear but also don’t endanger yourself by getting into crowds like your president without proper mask wearing and social distancing. When he arrived back to the WH, he proudly removed his mask revealing his lack of concern for whom he will infect.

Sukkah is against all the 613 mitzvos. It says at end of Koheles that keeping the mitzvos is against the human being consisting of 248 body parts (aivorim) and 365 senews (gidim). The mitzva of sukkah is performed with one’s body made up 613 parts.

Many answering here are just like their president, projecting, faulting the others with their own faults,
כל הפוסל במומו פוסל. A smqrt person. as in Pirkei Avos, does not interrupt and fire his best advisors. See the Midrash Shmuel on כל מחלוקת, where the Beis Hilel because of their humility, wanted to hear the Beis Shamai first before they made their view known in order to protect themselves from tunnel vision.

Sam1, you forgot to mention the 31.4% second quarter GDP contraction and 26.8 Trillion National Debt from the National Debt Clock. It increased by 5.2 Trillion since Trump took office. By neglecting the virus more than 20 million people are on unemployment and how many businesses went bankrupt? Deficit over 3 Trillion this year.
