And how can I make ‘aliyah’ if I can’t even visit? You have a shidduch, job, and dira set up for me? There actually is someone who I was supposed to go out with but couldn’t because I can’t go there.
Anonymous, I don’t care how many machers you know who were able to get in. I don’t have any relatives there. I haven’t found a way to enter.
You just don’t care about yenem, so it doesn’t bother you in the slightest as long as your friends are able to go.
Aaq, then why are Israelis allowed to come and go as they please? And I had covid and two vaccines. If you truly believe they are justified, then you are in the same kitah as those עריצים.
(And of course visiting Eretz Yisrael is a privilege, but it is not their right to decide who gets that privilege. They are gazlanim. Apparently, you have a thing for thieves.)October 22, 2021 12:14 pm at 12:14 pm in reply to: What is the real reason for banning Jews from Israel? #2019740
And are you foolish enough to justify not allowing Jews into Israel because they can make aliyah? I didn’t realize soviet era communism was back in style!October 22, 2021 10:45 am at 10:45 am in reply to: What is the real reason for banning Jews from Israel? #2019711
How can you make aliyah if you can’t even visit? Do you hear yourself? You expect people to immediately apply for citizenship without preparing?
Avira, are you the Rabbi of anshei kurfufel?
The name is terrible. Truth social sounds like a tacky 90s chat room. I give it two weeks max
I don’t think gold is good thing to safeguard your money. Demand for gold will decrease in case of a financial meltdown. Guns and ammo, now that’s something valuable
How do you know the bnei Yisrael had sport cars in the midbar?
Vayishb mimenu CHEVY
My great grandfather and his brother actually did marry two sisters! 😄 true story
You’re part of the problem. That’s all I need to say here
Nu, just bet against the market as a hedge. Buy some put options to bet against the sp500 and calls on the vxx. Problem solved.
Syag, I’m glad I missed the boat. I wouldn’t want to be stuck on it with you! (Jk)
Because there’s no cholam in chasa. It’s two kematzim. It’s a rashi in chumash. I think it’s a gemara too. The quote is in past tense. I think it’s from parshas metzora when the cohen tells the baal habayis to remove his belongings before he is declares the house tamei
Avirah, it’s called illusory superiority. It was very popular in Germany. The maaleh isn’t with you, it’s with CS. He’s able to observe objectively.
Syag, because knowing a lot of Torah or being iluyish doesn’t equate to being a talmid chacham. Anyone can be a rosh yeshiva too. That doesn’t automatically make you chashuv. Some people just want to be rebbish and caught up in the hock with their elite chevrah. That’s their simchas hachaim apparently..
Really, the best thing to do in the beis avel is to shut your mouth unless you pick up a que that the avel wants to hear from you.
You should’ve been there to be mekayem mechiyas amalek
Mods, what was wrong with my comment? I’m saying I don’t believe Avirah. I don’t trust him to reliably quote sources because he’s been misquoting them too many times. Also, he’s shown how krum he can be regarding any subject under the sun. Is there something wrong with any of that?
Yes, the way you said it was unacceptable.
So you’re pro gneivah now? Sign me up!
Eidel, so don’t ever read any books. Problem solved. Am I wrong?
Also, who said anything about software? We’re talking music. MOO – ZIK
Shudda wudda cudda
Books are already very different from music. They are tangible
YouTube music has almost every song that exists, including every Jewish song you can think of. The artists upload their music or someone else willOctober 17, 2021 4:42 pm at 4:42 pm in reply to: David Amess (fatally stabbed by Islamic b) accused the BBC for anti-Israel bias #2016976
He was trying to be a sanegor Yisrael. He died because of it. We can assume he made it to gan eden
Avirah, I read goyish books for chochma, but I read it here and there and another there. So am I over the allowed quantity?
I have ADHD. It’s not a disorder. Everyone else has a disorder! I’m so much more brilliant than them.
This debate is not so relevant anymore. I personally have a subscription to YouTube music.
But I remember back when it was hot topic. I downloaded anything I wanted because it is totally mutar. Intellectual property is a modern phenomenon.
If you think reading goyish books is a problem, then you can’t read the articles from YWN that are posted from the AP. Why should articles be different than books?
Don’t read any books. Simple. You’ll turn out just great!
Kiruv is for everyone. You don’t necessarily need to be looking for people to be mekarev. By living al kiddush Hashem every moment, you never know what you can accomplish.
My mother a”h was a teacher in public school. People used to ask her annoying questions about being Jewish (mostly goyim) all the time, and she would never lose her patience and always answered anything they asked.
Once, a frum lady introduced herself and asked if she remembered her. She did not. She said that she used to be her coworker, and that her answering her questions inspired her to become a baalas teshuva. Now she has a frum family because of some seemingly innocuous questions and answers.
They might cause a nuclear holocaust..
I hear they thrilled about Israel though
Try the Mir, I hear it’s very difficult to get accepted..
The Frisco Kid starring Harrison Ford is probably one of the very few kosher movies. It might be just one big leitzunes show, but it’s hardly treif. Truth is that movies shouldn’t be a problem THEORETICALLY.
Practically, it’s nearly impossible to have one that’s mamash ok.
And to know if a movie is ok in the first place, someone would have to be the korban to test it for everyone else.
Asur or not, it’s not ratzon Hashem for certain. And if you’re learning full time, it’s a for sure a complete stirah.
(Actually, I just remembered a couple of not so parve moments in the Frisco Kid. So I guess there might not be any kosher movies afterall..)
My great great uncle had a parrot he trained to insult his neighbor (true story)
I’m not sure if you’re serious or not. 16 is kind of young to start. If you’re trying to convince anyone to start, I would say start to find a good match. Then present the idea to him after you already know a little about the girl. This way, maybe you can get him excited and interested. If that doesn’t work out, you can use that as a way to really show your point of how difficult it can be to find a good shidduch and how long it takes.
If this doesn’t interest him in the slightest, then he obviously does not want to get married at all right now, so there’s no point in pushing.
Are you asking for a friend or a ‘friend?’
Nothing you see is real. You don’t exist.
There were probably billions of people before the mabul. It’s also very possible they had technology and futuristic cities and were more advanced than we are today
President Biden, Putin, a priest, and a rabbi are on plane. The plane is going down, but there are only three parachutes. Putin immediately grabs one and jumps before anyone can blink twice. The rabbi states emphatically that the president deserves the next parachute. Biden accepts and jumps. The priest then says to the rabbi “you can have the last parachute, I’m prepared to meet my maker.” The rabbi replies, “well actually father, there’s no need. You see.. Biden just grabbed my tallis!”
Send me your resume, I’ll go out with you 😁
(I might be too old for though, I’m 27)
Tov. I’m glad you time traveled there and back. How’s the shidduch crisis solved in yemos hamashiach?
Death is like gerushin. The marriage is severed when one spouse dies. Perhaps people will remarry, Perhaps not..
Ich veis nisht
There are no singular genders in shamayim. A neshama is a neshama
You bichlal have no clue what is gan eden
Look what happened to Adoniyahu
Also tell him that Torah is actually very very easy to keep. The thing that is a real challenge is arayos. Everything else is super easy if you think about it
Tell him that changing his mind won’t bend reality. The Torah remains regardless if you pretend otherwise
