I once heard that every person has 7 potential mates, each on a different level of ruchniyus. Depending on where they are holding when they are dating. that is the zivug they will end up marrying.

I also learned that you are the only one that could push away your zivug. For example, your mother cant say no to the”right one.” The way you could push your zivug away is for saying no for the wrong reasons…

watching movies creates an image that you expect in your life. when that image isnt recreated, you feel unsatisfied. but in reality, the image was fantasy but you cant let go of it. reading books is worse though because you create you own pictures based on the words so its harder o get rid of.

nail polish is not tznius if it’s a bright color. the same way certain colors of dress isn’t appropriate and certain color makeup isn’t. furthermore, nail polish is enhancing one of the most tumah parts of your body. when u cut your nails, you have to discard them and wash your hands because you are tamei. in addition, nails symbolize the chait of Adam and Chava. after they ate from the eitz hadas, they became naked. it says the clothes they wore resembled nails. we look at our nails by havdala to remember that. why would you want to accentuate the part of your body that resembles chait, especially if you are a girl and we have to repent for what Chava caused?

Usually, when you question something it is your yetzer tov saying, “wake up, dude!! Don’t you realize this is the wrong thing?” But as you can see i post on here, so i don’t think there’s something wrong with it. maybe youre on a higher madreiga.

    sam:

i have this timer on my internet. its an add-on thing that is activated whenever the internet is on. i had the same problem as you so when i saw how much time was really being spent on the news i got really scared. it showed an enormous amount of time being wasted on nourishkeitin so i quickly put a stop to it. whenever i wanted to look at the news i would think of the amt of time i spend wasting time and instead did something productive.

tip #1: watch what u eat! peamericans dont realize that there are different standards of hechsherim. when we see hebrew letters we automatically assume kosher. however, the hechsherim are pretty tricky. try to stick with aidus hachareidus, rubin and landau.

People dont realize how loudly they speak when theyre on the phone. uch louder than if they would be talking to the person nxt to them. i was once walking behind a girl and i heard all abt her date that she went on!

yehudayona: dressing up like different sects of yiddsihkeit could be fine, but you still have to be careful. for example, if someone is dressing up as a more modern married lady, she may not show her hair even if she isnt married cuz its maaras ayin. no joke!

flatbusher: 1st of all, i don’t know what sems u call “good”. 2nd, yes, i paid for my sem yr. i had money that i had been saving up for a couple of years and i took out a loan to cover the rest. so yeah, i can say it was worth every penny.

seminaries dont brainwash. they guide you and display the true way of life just by living it. they are an example of the way most sem girls wanna live.

to all thos who are bashing seminary, where are you getting your info from??? these remarks are usually coming from jealous girls or parentd who cant afford it trying to convince their daughters that its not worth it. i went to sem and LOVED it. its an experience that you cant get any other time. visiting israel after or during sem isnt the same. spending time amongst true torahdiga ppl and learning in the holy land and just walking to the kotel during break is something you dont get all the time

!! its an experience that should be experienced by all those who can do it. it was worth every penny!!!!!!

youre all wrong! tehillas was officially supposed to be more academic, but i dont think it ended up that way. nachlas is definitely not jappy. its actually quite yeshivish. chemdas is not so academic. maybe a bit more than nachlas but not like BJJ.
