I didnt read the either book, however the reality is there is very litle personal information about Rashi or any of the Rishonim and even the Achronim until very modern times

Since there isnt much personal information (In fact we dont even know in many cases how many or even the names of their children)

Because there is a dearth of real information, most books about them use poetic license.

zdad- stopbeing thick. look up the poskim. you have an agenda and are being thick to further what you want to be true.

If you call honoring and respecting those who saved Jews (And Wallenberg saved 100,000) and Torah an “agenda” then yes I have one.

Have you even looked up several Shittos and seen MAYBE there are other opinions on this matter.

Many of you have heard this story. When the Kasner train was escaping Belsen (The one with the Satmar Rebbe on it) , It was supposed to go to Switzerland (and the safety there) . The man in charge of letting trains go through from Germany to Switzerland got a telegram not to let the train go through.

The Man telegraphed back the train had already left and was in Switzerland when it fact it hadnt arrived yet.

I dont know the name of this man nor do I know if his name is even remembered. Dont you think someone who help save over 1000 jews including the Satmar Rebbe deserves some kind of kovod and thanks

Id like to remind people Papa gave a rough translation

You cant exactly translate 10000% Hebrew to English or for that matter english into hebrew.

Maybe you can translate the words, but some of the inflection is lost and “fight words” dont exactly have the same meaning of emotion

There is a much greater selection of Schools to send your kids

Your kids will more likely have frum kids to play with

Employers are much more knowledgeable of jewish holidays and customs than they would be elsewhere

    $200,000 is not so ridiculus

You can only live in certain areas which tend to be more expensive. You almost have to live in the NYC area rather than cheaper parts of the US like Texas or TN.

Yeshiva tutions can really eat up your salaries.

Food Chumras can cost alot more. Only eating Hemish brand and shopping at Hemish stores cost more than shopping at Waldbaums and buying empire chicken there. Chalov Yisroel does cost more than Chalav Stam especially Cheese and Ice Cream.

A 15 Passenger van for your children, Which arent cheap and they get terrible gas mileage

Its a little too much. Its a nice place to visit but I wouldnt want to live there

Kosher food is actually fairly difficult to get outside of certain areas. Even stuff taken for granted is hard to get.

We are always debating about ice cream here, In NY all Ice Creams are kosher, however go outside the NY-NE area and the only kosher brands are Breyers and Dreyers (Eddys)

Bread is also mostly kosher in NY, not elsewhere in the US

And forget about Europe, Europe its almost impossible to figure out.

In general its best to bring your own food ,I personally cant stand L’Bruit stuff. The Meal mart stuff is a little better.

I went to Bermuda once with premade meals from Meal Mart (Not the freeze dried stuff) and The customs agent almost confiscated it. He to beg for him not to take it away.

When dealing with BT’s or potentials BT’s you need to use the Carrot more than the Stick. Perhaps you were brought up with the Stick more and think that is better, however using the stick with the wrong audience will not get the desired result.

You also need to pick your battles carefully.

Unless you are willing to change to this reality its probably better you seek other venues

You have not proven that EVERY Shitta says its forbidden to honor and admire a rightous gentile. There certainly are shittos that its permitted, for less of a person that a righteous gentile.

Someone did bring up that the Rambam admired Aristotle. We can debate what the Rambam meant, but its not totally clear its “D’Orasya” that one should NEVER admire a gentile especially a righteous gentile.

Halacha is not driven by emotions. It is silly to think so.

Imagine the following scenerio, C’V You come home one day and discover R’L you child was a victim . You then go to your Rav and tell him what happend. he then tells you not to go to the Police and if you do, you are a moser. You then find out nothing was done.

Do you accept the Psak and do nothing

Use your “emotion” and get another Psak

I dont know who Toi will look up and I dont know what the result will be. I am sure there are some who will say one should not admire any Goy , but there are others who will say you can admire a Goy of even less a stature than a Righteous gentile and certainly a righteous gentile

    BTW

What I say about Irina Sender, also applies to Wallenberg , Sugihara, Schindler members of Zegota and anyone else who saved even one jew at great personal risk.

Irina Sender had a long life and lived to 99 and almost nobody had heard of her until recently and I bet almost nobody has heard of Zegota (many of its members were tortured and killed for trying to save jews)

Gratitude is not a silly emotion. If you are ungrateful to this woman who risked so much (BTW she walked with a limp the rest of her life because of the torture she received when they broke her feet).

You very well might find a Rabbi who say you shouldnt be inspired by the woman, but you will also find those who ARE inspired and think we should put “righteous gentiles” (People who risked their lives to save jews during the holocaust) on another level and should honor them., and its more than proper to do so.

While normally I would not say to shop for a psak, I think in THIS case you should shop for a Posek who thinks its proper to honor righteous gentiles.

Stam commenting on them finding favor in your eyes is pashtus an issur di’oraysah.

If you think is an Issur D’Oraysa to think a woman named Irina Sendler who smuggled 2000 Jewish children out of the Warsaw Ghetto was eventually caught by the Nazis, Was tortured (including having both feet broken) was sentenced to death (Only to be saved by a bribery before the firing squad) and had to be on the run during the rest of the war because the Nazis were looking for her doesnt deserve our Admiration, then I think your posek is wrong on this one

How they must have suffered, living such an abnormal life.

    How did they survive it?

    Unfortunatly many did not

Many jews either were killed in events such as the Crusades or Chemneski

Many jews were expelled from their homes Like the Spanish Iqusition

And many jews just converted to other relgions (In Portugal there was no choice to emigrate in 1497, you just had to convert)

I think I heard somewhere that approximately 25% of Spanish people (People in Spanin) are decended from Jews

You are not allowed to contact each other on this blog

My best advice to you is contact Ptach in Brooklyn or Cahal in the 5 towns/Far Rockaway and they can give you advice on how to proceed. What you need to get and how to get it.

You will need to go to your local City Board of Ed district to get that IEP (They go into yeshivas all the time)

Ptach can also probably give you suggestions on tutiton help, it is available

P’Tach does not have a dorm that I know of

They also require an IEP (That I keep talking about) and a psychological report. Unfortunatly I dont think you can get these things by Septemeber. An IEP requires classroom observation as part of the report.

Unfortunatly this kind of research for a special school really requires research really done in January (or even before) rather than June.

I dont know much about dorm yeshivas, but I suspect they arent that cheap either. Dont forget they have to house and feed the students which isnt cheap and they also have to hire extra help to watch the boys at night from safety issues (Like keeping out intruders) to making sure the boys dont cause any trouble by hanging out at the movies or with girls.

IMO your best bet for the fall is probably a private tutor

Not everyone who considers themselves frum keeps everything

I think Ive heard a term Shomrei Mitzvas (Or something like that) to distunguish between an orthodox person and a charedi person.

There are plenty of people who go to Orthodox shuls who do not keep Tacharas Mishpacha, Plenty of women who dont cover their hair or wear pants.

There are plenty of men who do not go to shul everyday, Wear Tzizzit or Tfillin everyday

There are frum people who cheat on their taxes (Many Openly) who commit other kinds of Thefts

There are yeshivas who launder drug money

The point is there is much averaihs going on.

    Let Hashem Decide

The IEP Can get you related services paid for by the state, that isnt as hard to get as tutition re-imbursement. However you cant pick the people who do it (Although its usually pretty easy to get a frum person who does it)

They do provide services to high school students. You are thinking of a different program that does 3-5 year olds

After age 5 its done by the school district rather than private providers. It is not called SEEIT, It has various names depending on grade level.

I never said tution reimbursement is guranteed if you have the IEP, I never even spoke about the issue, but since you brought it up, Its possible if you hire a lawyer to get YESHIVA tuition reimbuirsement, but you need the IEP to even attempt it.

Of course I havent done a evaluation of the OP. You cant do one over the internet, you need to monitor the student in the classroom to do it and they have several experts doing it.
