According to the goyim, nice guys don’t step on others toes to finish first, so they finish last. Finish first is not so obvious.

The Yidden pick words up from nationalties where they reside and is incorporated in their Yiddish there, so Hungarian Yiddish, a German dialect, is not the same as Polish Yiddish as chalopches, geschtopte kraute or pechah, kocsonya in Hungarian.

Maybe he means. hamaschil bemitzva omrim lo gemor, as it says, kol hamitzva, indicating that by mitzvos he should finish himself.

Explains the Olalos Ephraim (Klei Yakar) that Moshe Rabbenu was humble to go to Mitzraim, saying mi anochi, so Hashem said to him, that is why I chose you in the first place as will give the Torah on Har Sinai because of its humility.

The Rabbenu Bachaya points out when we take each of the first letters of tbe names of the shevotim and multiply them individualy by 1000 as Ruevain, 200,000, Shimon, 300,000 and so on. We leave out Levi and use Yosef, so when we add them all together, the sum is 597,000, 3000 who died by the aigal, missing from 600,000.

Rosh Chodash was given to the women as a reward because when it came to Aigel they were forced to contribute whereas by the Mishkan they were first to contribute. The Aigal emphasizes outside influence whereas Rosh Chodash, reflects the hashgacha and renewal by Hashem as well as the mishkan, Hashem’s closeness to us.

Good News! The CDC just relaxed the requirement of mask wearing and distancing, outdoors and indors for fully vaccinated people after 2 weeks as the risk of getting and giving the COVID virus is small. This is an incentive to get fully vaccinated.

Sam Klein, look at the Ramban in Parashas Bechukosai on voolech eschem komimyus who says, even though Hashem commanded a doctor to cure us, we should avoid going to him. This needs an explanation. Normally we have to go to a doctor but there will be a time when we will be on high level trusting Hashem and being tested through yesurim shel ahava. In that case, we should take it in stride and rely on Hashem, who gave it will also take it away. In the Haggada we don’t find directly Moshe Rabbenu mentiioned as we don’t praise a doctor’s tool, so Moshe Rabbenu was Hashem’s tool, so is a dodtor. We have to daven to Hashem to provide the strength and abilities to the doctor to heal us.

coffee addict, the Beis Shamai said to accept everyone with a pleasant disposition. We pasken like the Beis Hilel because they wanted to arrive to the truth by hearing the Beis Shamai’s view first. The baas kol said to follow them even though the Beis Shamai was sharper as the pasuk indicates majority in quantity and not quality. The Ran explains that we have to undestand currently a view we follow with human understanding and Rebbi Eliezer was not understood and so the Beis Shamai. When meshiach will come, we will have a new understanding, so we will pasken like the Beis Shamai as the majority will come to understand their view and accept their view. According to you why pasken then like the Beis Shamai?

The Rambam’s view is that teshuva is not the mitzva but viduy as you cannot tell a person to do teshuva if one does not realize that a mistake was made. However. once teshuva is done, a new person is born on whom the kelolas don’t apply.

When our best, tzadikim, is given back to Hashem and we accept this in stride, we show our love to Him and therefore our swaying away from Him is forgiven similar to a korban meaning closeness.

???? ?? ????? – ?? ???? ???? ??? ???? etched into the luchos with a ‘o’ under the ches, should be read as freedom with a ‘ei’ under the ches, A person is realy free from everyone if he keeps the Torah. Hashem freed us from the servitude of Pharaoh when we accepted the Torah. The contract with which Hashem sanctified us is the Torah as the Baal Haturim says that we were sanctified by all three means, kesef, the booty from Mitzraim and the Yam. contract, Torah, biah, the mishkan. Spiritualy we are free from all kings by only serving Hashem but physicaly we become free only when Meshiach comes. hashteh nami avdei deachashveros anan.
