I really do agree with you, but maybe you’re living in a little shteltle somewhere in yehupitville, i dont know. but i know where I live, in New York- EVERYTHING is OPEN, and all our kids see and hear all the psychotic stuff that goes on and all the garbage. Do i think Lipa poses as a controversial issue- yes. but thats my own opinion. Is he doing something wrong, i don’t know; im no posek. Do i think he looks dumb and want my kids to watch him, not necc. but i would MUCH rather them enjoy his shtuss than to go and sit and let their minds gets absorbed with such stupidity and immorality the TV and Internet has to show!

I went private, blocked ppple I knew would wanna “stalk me” and not all my friends can see my photos and statuses bec I am afraid ppple have noooo life- which they do and they live thru other pples pages, which is pathetic!?! Pleeeeeeez- u ppple needs calm down; if u don’t find lipa appropriate for your kids, no-problem, they don’t have to see a grown man making a fool of himself and making pple laugh!
But no one here is one to talk, I’m sorry!!! Start focusing on the pple in our community even trying to make entertainment in the Jewish community a little more hip than all the garbage tv and the Internet has to offer, excuse me, but I don’t see u using ur talents to benefit our kids education in entertainment form; like uncle Moshe and Shmuel kunda zt”l.

This kid is a sensation- a real kiddush hashem- look around and see whats going on in our ‘frum’ communities and everything- if you want to compare to anything then i think you have no basis of saying he’s a chilul hashem or any of that nonesense- he has talent, he acts refine with respect and i think he sets a positive example!
also- one of my friends was engaged- and sent her chosson some mushy love email- and to ALL her email contacts as well!! mhm!!! we all got to see it!!LOL- well not so funny!

OMG- that totally happened to me!
So basically my friends father was really sick and she had asked me to send out his name to all my contacts via text. So i sent out like 10@ a time to literally all my contacts- like people i would never text; my friends mother; my moms friends and so on.
all of a sudden i get a text from a close friend of mine
“RedNails- I think you sent me the wrong text”
i wrote back
“OMG- What did i send you??”
she fwds me a msg
“hi ma, i just wanted to tell you i broke up with so-and-so…i feel bad cuz he didnt see it coming, but i know i did the right thing…..(and A LOT more personal stuff)….”
i was freaking out- somehow a msg i had sent mooonths before somehow saved and sent to her…and now to all of the pple i sent the ‘tehillim’ text to!
i literally felt like i was gonna _!@#$%^&&!! pass out!!
i sent out a retrieval txt; saying some bogus stuff that s/o go a hold of my phone yadda yadda yadda..
through some miracle of my doing a chessed it was ONLY sent to her…
so now; when i send out a mass text i am super careful!!

I agree, when the time is right it will happen. It has no difference as to what age you are. Im almost 21, nearly 79% of my close friends are married (from Lit/Heim?chasidish/ some sefardic and MO); with babies- some onto their second one…etc etc and im seen as an “old maid”?! Not at all!!! When its b’znamo its b’zmano!! Do your hishtadlus- and all that other garbage about being old maid and depressed- PA-LEEZ- live up your single years- you only have it once!!

If you had worked many years in a mine, and spent day after day toiling, using every last strength and every bead of sweat- and discovered this BEAUTIFUL and PRICELESS diamond/stone that is beyond value on our market- and that belonged SOLELY to YOU. Would you flaunt it and show it off with no regard to thieves, and your enemies? I think you would announce the great discovery you made, but not over flaunt it- because human nature is not one of-“oh yea, im real happy for you. You found this beautiful and rare gem- and i want YOU only to keep it”
Same too with a shidduch, after all that work, and all those years- you FINALLY found that PRICELESS gem; yea, you would announce your happiness etc and celebrate- but flaunt- only a dumb or insecure person would do that.

Its so true how many relationships/engagements and even marriages were compromised and even destroyed because of couples misusing FB and texting.

Probably our Gedolim from the past 100 years up until now- not that we would compare them to the Rishomin/Achromin/neiviem etc- but through the trials and issues of our times they still remained strong,good leaders to klal yisroel, THERE for us, treated each individual with respect W/O any ulterior motives, were sincere, and were of EMES.
i find it hard to find such chachamim these days and actually make the time to listen and guide us.
thats the role model i want to become- actually BE there for klal Yisroel, make the time, go out of my way, and be sincere about it-without ulterior motives (im not saying there r chachmim like that necc, but there r times when it seems that way).

sammy- I think its totally fine…i see no reason why it wouldnt be allowed..Ive also been in the BY systen where the preached the whole music affecting you nishama thing (WHICH IS TRUE) and how the song- here were talking music can penetrate you neshama- and I quote (my teachers) – why is it so bad to listen to even classical music? becasue we dont know what the machshavos were of the composer and if it was through machshavos raaos etc…then it can badly affect your neshama- I dont disagree but thats a VERY VERY VERY high level to live by….
in all honesty using it for productions/backround music/ calming etc..i see no reason why classsical or even yanni should be issur/a problem!
