just btw, even if there was such a thing as a kosher tv channel or episode or wtvr you want to call it, there are commercials some of which are full of filth, even for just one minute (played again, and again) especially since they are played over and over. even if you say some tv’s allow you to forward past the commercials (which most don’t), you still have to see what you want to fast forward. and kids don’t care much to fast forward commercials anyway. even a bt in their parents home with a tv will have trouble staying awat- and they can be frum as ever in other aspects! tv sucks you in. trust me, i came from there, and know others who did as well.

camp esh would have been a great option for you, but I don’t think they are opening this year 🙁 its pretty much the crowd your looking for. its boys and girls (seperatly, same campus sort of, of course separate bunkhouses). I’ll let you know if they do open!!

My father danced with me by my wedding (wasn’t expecting it though lol), and it was perfectly fine. brothers and all other men all stayed on other side as chosson was there. And all the women stopped dancing. same thing happened with other weddings ive been at. would i encourage it? no, who knows if it will eventually get out of hand, but once it does its usually ok

diapers.com often has sales and you get %15 off your first purchase with the code (check retailmenot.com). i find pampers work the best (but NOT the ones with dry max). oh, and diapers.com is free 1-2 day shipping- place order by 6 pm get it the next day!!

jl, i too bought a front loader washer/dryer (frigidaire though), and i agree with you that its awesome!!!!what you mentioned about it spinning lkike a jet plane, so it needs rto be anchored- did you try aking out the shipping bolts? they’re giant screws that are there to protect it during handling and if you don’t take them out the machine will spin and jump like crazy- it ruins the machine too- oh and delivery men don’t take it out. we figure this out after our machine did that lol its in the back of the washer- check it out (maybe colored… read the manual if you still have it)

WIY, girls can walk in the streets and shmooze while they do, but no they shouldnt bend leaning forward, run in the street (most frum girls who do feel bad after. im sure you yourself realize how you turn to look and see who is running) and they most defintley shouldnt be loud in the streets. the points you mentioned are well known. look in any tznius book or ask any rebbetzin or rav. believe me, i went through bais yaakov and those issues have been addressed again and again

ok, picture this: You decide to go bowling one day, but you know you can’t bowl if it’s full with men. ok, so lets go check out the situation at the alley (knowing full well you might just not get to bowl). you walk in and lucky enough there is an available lane far enough to be considered tznius. great. Now lets get started. you pick up the bowling ball and walk ever so daintly towards the lane (most run at that point btw) wait- no bending over too much so my skirt won’t ride up, and that I shouldn’t attract anyone and just drop the ball and expect it to get to the end of the lane. no cheering if you somehow get a strike, because the whole alley will turn their heads.

um, first of all most do squat and second of all just because most don’t certainly don’t make right by any means.- and don’t even get me started on that. usually bowling alleys are pretty full. if not, and they can get a lane in the corner, that’s another story. ps bending over is also a huge opportunity for her skirt to rise above her knees, even when very long

WIY, bowling is just bending over a little? I think not. And just as a by the way, I’m sure you know the halacha that a woman can’t walk in front of man. But alls what they are doing is just walking a little? obviously, its in the way the body moves.

also, im sure you know other is a right way and a wrong way to bend for women (which we learned from rut. the right being to squat down, and the wrong way to lean forward)and to bowl, you have to bend the wrong way- you can’t exacty squat and bowl….

soright, your comment was just that- so right! aries- you can bowl with a pleated skirt, or a -line skirt, that’s not a problem. rather its not so refined for girls to move the way you have to when you bowl with other men around.

dovidl, if your constantly in a hebrew language mode, it shouldn’t give you problems. (if you switch in the middle to english for the quotes, it will do that. you can do quotes on hebrew mode too) “????” also, not all fonts work so great with hebrew. and if the font doesn’t even change when you click on it, it mean its not installed on your computer even though its on the list.

where i live, strawberries recently became ossur unless cleaned through a very thorough washing (more thorough than what the mod listed) i’m pretty sure you have to cut off the whole skin in addition to a vigorous washing- pretty much wasn’t worth it lol. frozen ones were ok though i think, and pureed. they were infested

Two shabbatot ago my parents came over for shabbat. I had put the 4 month old in to sleep and a few hours later he woke up. I took him out of the crib and brought him out to everybody (ok, we were only four people) and my father sang to him softly as he sat on my lap mesmerized. The whole room was quite, besides for my fathers singing. You could hear a pin drop. It was dessert time and someone had watermelon in their plate. they took a bite and it was- ahem- a rather noisy bite… CRUNCH SLUUURRRPP! My son ever so slowly turns his head towards this person(remember, he is zonked!), then ever so slowly turns his head back towards me and laughs!!!
