BTGuy: Sorry for your embarrassment but that story is really funny.:) I know someone who flew down the WHOLE lane and he landed dangerously close to the bowling pins.
Michlala sounds right.
popa_bar_abba: 🙂 🙂
i love coffe: For the ear lobe try some bacitracin cream and don’t wear those earrings again. Regarding the “eye rash” I can almost bet that its from your eyeliner. Do you wear liquid eyeliner?
YW Moderator-20: YES!
Wow this post is bringing back such memories.
yoyo56: If you are going to “skool” just look around at everyone elses shoes to see whats in style. I’m sure you know the “in girls” just look at their feet.
popa_bar_abba: LoL but then workinonit wouldnt be doing “honoring your parents”. But maybe you can argue you are helping them clean up. 🙂 🙂
Flatbush Dude: Nice.
Power just went back on! B”H. It was kind of tough to live in the 19th Century. Now let’s see if they cleared the roads yet.
Moderator 80 LOL 🙂
Besides is there any harm in “bouncing”? 🙂
Gumball: Although 8th grade looks daunting and scary you will see that actually its fun and exciting.
In a couple of years (or in the next couple of months) you will look back and say I was scared for 8th grade??
Meanwhile, most of us in the CR are reading this post and thinking I don’t even remember 8th grade.. and thats her biggest worry 🙂 But yes on your level that is a concern that you are facing.
First of all calm down. Listen to some relaxing music or run for a quick jog. Then realize that is the boy’s job to start start the conversation and think of topics.Just don’t give him one word answers. For example if he asks, “what do you do”? Don’t answer secretary and sit there quietly. Try to make his job easier by bringing up your own interesting comments, ideas..etc. Just be yourself and calm down. Take deep breaths and try to enjoy yourself. Try to relax and look relaxed. The boy is also usually nervous and if you look relaxed he will also loosen up. Do you have any brothers who can give you a practice run through? Right before the date say some Tehillim and think calm thoughts.
Have fun and good luck!
The exact quote as I remember it..”Moms Kosher Knishes, Hot for now, cold for later come n down and get your potatoe”. That was the chant we heard in the guy’s megaphone each day..:)
Salads and fruit. (no joke)
The parties over..now whose volunteering to help clean up?
Take a guess what I do.
Attention Singles:Today is a day for davening for shidduchim-Tu’Bav. Pray extra hard and may all your Tefillos be answered!
Grilled Butter Pecan Pound Cake
Yield: Serves 8
Cut pound cake into 8 slices. In small bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon and mix to combine. Spread on one side of pound cake and cover the butter mixture with chopped pecans. Grill cake slices on two sided grill for 2-3 minutes, or on a regular grill for 2-3 minutes per side, turning once, until cake is heated and pecans are browned and fragrant. Drizzle with ice cream topping to serve.
The following story occurred years ago when I was in Seminary.
We arrived back in seminary at midnight after a big trip. We went to Yam Hamelech, Ein Gedi etc.. Most of the girls went straight back into the dorm, while some girls stayed outside unpacking the busses. The busses were unpacked so they left. A bunch of girls stayed outside to schmooze.
Meanwhile a crowd gathered as there was no action on the little quiet street. They made everyone were still outside step back and asked them if they know whose bag it was. The girls ran inside the school yelling did anyone leave a bag outside?August 5, 2011 1:48 am at 1:48 am in reply to: mods! when someone calls you a 'dolt' they're calling you an idiot!! #1034679
This thread is going in circles. I think it should be closed.
LSH: I think I get your train of thought although it is not the easiest to follow..
What does your Case II have to do with the Ramban’s point of view about living in Israel? What point are you trying to make?
Yes, your right but I’m just giving myself an excuse cuz who wouldnt want to eat some Chocolate Mousse?
am yisrael chai: No big deal, after eating I’ll just drink some healthy carrot juice. 🙂
Dunno: Four more hours to go…:) Go take a lunch break.
Ok so instead of drinking, I’ll go eat some Chocolate Mousse!
To the right of Kansas and a couple of states up..Can you guess?
I think this thread is turning into Lashon Hora.
I like to go to an occasional party with no animals 🙂

Symptoms of Pentheraphobia – Fear of mother-in-law:
breathlessness, excessive sweating, nausea, dry mouth, shaking, heart palpitations, inability to speak or think clearly, a fear of dying, becoming mad or losing control, a sensation of detachment from reality or a full blown anxiety attack.June 29, 2011 10:08 pm at 10:08 pm in reply to: OK, MODs – Do You Really Want To Know What Mommy Called Me? #782330
Zeeskite: People “bother” those who are easy to get a reaction from. I think you make yourself an easy candidate by always writing mommy says this… or mommy doesnt let..ect..
Soft, smooth vanilla ice cream enrobed in a luscious chocolatey coating, covered in rich caramel sauce. 🙂
cshapiro: In the winter you wear black nailpolish?
I’m just curious how do you feel wearing it? does it make you feel pretty? or you are trying for a “look”?
I’m not trying to be mean just curious, because I dont think I have seen black nail polish on people.
I think the lighter the color, the nicer it looks. (that is my personal opinion and if you feel the darker the color the nicer it is so be it. But black nails??)
Rabbaim: I understand the point you are trying to make and its a nice one, but please give brotherofurs concrete examples of what he can do right now.
Brotherofurs: I sometimes feel like that..OK here are some examples.
-Something that you wanted to do but never have a chance..
-Call up someone and get together with them.
-Do a Chessed or help a neighbor
-Go jogging (in the rain :)) or just go on the treadmill. Exercise makes you feel accomplished.
-Go to a Wedding if you feel like getting dressed and venturing into the rain..
-Or listen to some music and go to sleep early. So you are refreshed for tomorrow.
Whatever you do Enjoy! the night is almost over..
Flowers:Now I understand… Thanks!
Moishy: Tu comprendes?
JOLLY RANCHER: what about chocopatience??
Moishy: I was about to ask the same question…
Would someone be so kind and explain how I can view other members profiles? Would you need their password?
I think I’m a little slow here..but how do you view someone’s profile? It’s possible??
6HZ1W3J: Yes, I also remember things from that age. But my real sharp memories begin around the age of 3. Additionally, I remember other children and what they were doing 🙂 Its funny I can think of a friend and even remember what she wore and what snack she had when one day when she came to play…
i love Coffe: I dont know where you live for example brooklyn driving is different than lakewoood. However, delaying driving will just make you more nervous. Here are some helpful tips.
Start SLOWLY. The first day of driving just practice on a dead end or quiet street. Just learn what each part of the car does.. Which one is gas and which one is the break. How to put on your blinkers, how to back up, how to use the mirrors..Do this for a couple of days, until you are comfortable sitting in the driver seat.Comfortable meaning you know how to start the car and drive without thinking which one is gas and break. You can still feel a drop nervous.DONT WORRY ITS NORMAL.
Then start driving local roads, but not the main busy streets. Here is where you will feel a drop apprehensive because you have to watch out for other cars and people crossing. Don’t worry just stay on the speed limit or drop under and you will be ok. If you see a car in your rearview mirror almost on your bumper let him cut you off, dont just speed because he is making you nervous. Also, you can be extra cautious for example stopping by yellow/red, so to make yourself comfortable with the roads.Doing this for like a week will make you feel better. You can still feel a DROP nervous but as long as you are practising you are doing fine.(also make sure your seat is high enough to see the road. I know someone who couldnt understand how come she kept ending up on the shoulder, the problem was her seat was too low and all she saw was a dashboard! So if you need sit on a phonebook:)
Then say to yourself now I’m ready for the busy roads. So its the same as the small roads! Dont worry. Just make sure to keep your eyes on the road and the car in front of you. You should be extra aware of your surroundings. For example if the car in front of you has his break lights on that means your foot should be resting gently on YOUR break.
I hope these tips help you..Good luck!
My take on this matter: Most men in the ages of 40-and up will have the background of the phone that it came with, or the other picture options it comes with like the beach.forest.etc..
Their ring tones are either on vibrate, or the default tone.
Women in that age range will have their family picture, or whatever their children set for them. Their ring tone will either be the old fashioned ring ring ring or some classic tune.
The younger the age bracket the more original backgrounds you get, with the newer tunes. Girls: background usually themselves with a friend, or a picture of a favorite niece or nephew.
If you think I’m wrong just take a look around.
But obviously there are EXCEPTIONS to every rule!
I think in this rainy weather we are all seeing boats :). Some roads are so flooded, the cars look like they float.
Moderator-80: THANK YOU! WELL SAID.
Shlishi: Sorry, ever heard of online/ distance learning school? Yes you can work the whole week while juggling full time school, and therefore being on top of the situation to make your sundays free..(although you hardly have time to breathe).
Homeowner: So just look in the CPL and Penal code for NY.
Sacrilege: Incorrect..I am done!
GumBall: Just curious (as a girl) how do you spend your Lag B’Omer?
Sacrilege:Did I graduate yet? 🙂
