🍫Syag LchochmaParticipant
it is my understanding that receiving mechila requires doing tshuva which would require someone to say and believe that, given the opportunity, they would not repeat the offense. im not sure you qualify.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantI know someone who did that. He was working for his father when he started wearing a yarmulke and his father didn’t want him to wear it at work so he bought a toupee.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantHaLeiVi – Oak Park, Michigan?
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantwhat if he’s from the tuition committee and now he knows all this secret information?
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantgefen – I used to think that too, sometimes, but I realized that it often is up to interpretation. I get bothered when secular books, movies and songs are brought up because I know it encourages my/some kids to look into them when they may not have otherwise done so. And others have gotten offended when certain references were deleted.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantUh Oh – do I have to get paranoid as well?
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantno, but my husband can.
many, and our newt is almost 10 years old.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantDY – brainwashing was not his word, it was HaKatan’s, which is why it needed to be used in context. Why not comment to HaKatan about his use of it instead? Sometimes it isn’t crucial to split hairs on the verbiage if there is a clear point being made.
It is similar, in my eyes, to that one student who pipes up during a lecture with a comment that makes everyone laugh and ruins the Rebbes opportunity to bring out a point to the class.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantDY – I am wondering if you are aware that sometimes people are trying to make a valid point and then your taking a line or two out of context like that mocks their effort. Is that intentional?
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipanthey mr/s. therapist, do you sense a bit of defensiveness here? maybe therapistaphobia or something? Tough crowd I tell ya.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantoh bookworm, I love it!
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantas you continue to insist bad things about a group of people based on conjecture when someone who lives among them has told you it may very well be motzei shem ra-
and since the threat of being oiver on something so serious does not scare you because you are more comfortable relying on your conjecture than believing you could possibly be wrong (when you should shake at the possibility of slander) –
I have to say I am very uncomfortable engaging in this conversation with you.
I continue to wish you well.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantHey SiDi!!!!!!!
It’s always great to have you back (as long as it is on filtered internet and it isn’t during times when you are supposed to be somewhere else)
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantHaKatan – I aways assumed that you were thorough in your facts toward your hashkafos even if I was uncomfortable with your presentation, and your reasoning for posting was something I could relate to. But for you to insist that you are correct about the secular mentality toward mishnayos for their dead ONLY because of suppositions and inferential thinking, even at the risk of motzei shem ra, and even though allowing that concept to stand would NOT be a chillul Hashem, then I am forced to question the validity and motive behind the other words as well. I’m sorry.
May 7, 2014 5:36 am at 5:36 am in reply to: The Missing 165 Years – Discrepancy Between Jewish and Secular Calendars #1014210🍫Syag LchochmaParticipanta website from 421 BC?
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantthe thread
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantAnd most Zionists (not “RZ”), who don’t even know what mishnayos are, would not likely be comforted.
I can tell you with 100% certainty that this statement is incorrect and I am not sure it is not terrible motzei shem ra. Although Leah Rabin would rather her kids be an arab, that is a painfully far leap from saying secular israelis would not be comforted by frum yidden saying mishnayos for their fallen.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantI knew that!
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantpixelate and popa – I can’t believe you fell for it!!
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantthat was moderately funny
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantMazel Tov! That is such wonderful news.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantI’ll send you a candy dish
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipanthow much do I owe you for the assessment?
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantBiased towards people with that view point.
I know you were.
I wasn’t challenging his sense of reality, I was challenging his viewpoint of reality. And I find your defense somewhat humorous, if I may politely say so.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantthank you for your biased response. apparently you slept thru the first few.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantHaKatan – in your world, you are correct. In real life, however, the secular Israelis would be very happy and comforted.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantflimsy excuse
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantakuperma – you are way off. The zionists would be very happy for you to acknowledge the value of the neshamos that were lost and saying mishnayos would be just fine. Those who don’t have an understanding of the value of mishnayos have turned to traditional ways for lack of anything else to do.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantI was just trying to get us all into the bray for this year. Now I can safely bow out.
You really think that that’s mentchlich behavior or are you not obligated toward mentchlichkite when talking to tziyonim? regardless of the topic, starting a thread to make machlokes, and writing the above quoted post is rude.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantcrazybrit – I’m willing to risk it
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantoomis – so right about the nachas. I was obviously joking (tho my older dausghter may actually feel that way) but she is so proud of that ponytail that it would never occur to me to suggest “fixing it”. Yes, it is sloppy, but her teacher knows why and her classroom is not quite “public” in my eyes. I have never said a word to her about it because the look on her face when she stands in front of that mirror thinking she is grown up and independent is priceless.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantI used to have a pet rock. I called him rock. but i never actually spoke to him so no worry about a”z there. I think my mom threw it out.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantI’d like to know, once and for all, why the chicken crossed the road.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantyou all seem to think it’s funny but this really keeps me up at night. My six year old likes to make her own pony tail so it always looks messy, kind of like a six year old did it. How will I EVER get a shidduch for my other kids if she walks around in public like that!
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantI purchased Tznius Insurance, Inc. They cover everything!
🙂
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantGamanit – mine says it in almost those words, when I was on public aid, they wouldn’t cover having adult teeth fixed, only pulled.

🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantOf course I was right!
*whisper* what was I right about? *whisper*
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantyum!!!
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantihear – I am so impressed by your answer! nicely stated!
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantcrazybrit – Major lol
April 10, 2014 12:50 pm at 12:50 pm in reply to: True or false where the answer is sometimes or maybe #1011257🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantI am totally with you on this one. That is so true.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipanthow “inside” can a joke on the internet actually be?
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantlol
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantfor some reason, even though I have heard you say that before, my head always reads “Ha-li-vye”. I think it’s the big V that gets me.
my screen name was chosen to remind myself at sign in that Syag lchochma shtika because I would get so emotional about some of the posts and would want to rag them out.
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantAl Tiftach Peh!!!!
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantI’m paying $6400 in Lakewood for a boy.
$6400?!?! My friend said her son in law cost her at least $50000!
🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantGoq – funny you should say that. I was gonna post that I didn’t know we had one.

🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantyes. and it stacks well.
