Use Flax/Linseed Oil (must be kosher) instead. Flax is high in Omega3. Vinegar Apple Cider (kosher unpasteurized) is the best. Braggs Aminos made from Non GMO Soybeans and Purified Water. This product is also kosher. This is fun we need to continue by starting a Natural Health thread.

Go to the Y or a place that has facilities with a pool with separate swimming hours and days for both genders. Pick a time and day that is appropriate. Swim for an hour. Swimming will relax you. When your head hits the Pillow, within a short period of time you will fall asleep.

Tommorow Morning in Cairo at Tahir Square, there is a scheduled protest. I read(according to the New York Times) Mubarack is going to meet with the Opposition. The Mubarack Administration has stepped up their arsenal with armored tanks, and more soldiers with weapons. The Government said they will not fire on the people. The big question is can they be trusted? I think the leaders of the Government and the Opposition Party are trying to reconcile and diffuse the volatile nature in Cairo now, and arbitrate and have more peaceful dialogue between the Oposition and the Government. The Muslims are trying to gain the trust and usurp power of the Oppoisition party. Some people like the idea, and others are skeptical and just want to be a Democracy. Go to New york Times on line for the latest coverage of the current events in Egypt.

princessy what you do (before hand)is go to a Toy Shop and purchase a light good (not gigantic)Rubber Ball, Light Non Breakable Cell Phone,Light Non Breakable Computer. With the ball interact and play catch with the Todler and Post Todler. Kids love to mimic their Parents, they see them talking talking on their Cell Phones, and on their laptops/PC typing on Yeshiva World they want to do the same as their Parents. Play a game of either catch or rolling their Rubber Ball back and forth between the young child or children and the Adult or Adults. Rubber Ball, Toy Cell Phone and Computer are good Creative Fun for them.

    in reply to: Snoring #719816

A Neti Pot which irrigates the Nostrils with tepid salt water could help the Snorer. How by keeping the Sinus cavity unobstructed, and getting more air in the Sinus Cavity to improve breathing. Another idea is by humming. Humming helps clear debris clogging the Nasal Cavity. This is another way to get air in the Sinus Cavity to help breathing. Which could also be beneficial for the Snorer.

Feif Un I think what you do is cut a clove of garlic and put this in Olive Oil heat in a pot until it gets hot. Then you let this cool down, strain and funnel into a bottle with an eye dropper. Perhaps the OPs baby has a Chalavi allergy to dairy. Achosid does your baby drink and get some kind of reaction after drinking Milk?

Shlomo no one would ever disagree about the sanctity of Hashems Torah, everybody must be diligent and do whatever possible to guard and protect their health. If ones physical health is not good, then how can they learn Torah and do their Avodas Hashem? Doing whatever possible to have vibrant and healthy immune system, is so important where you are living in the Northern Hemisphere Brookyn NY. area. Especially December with decreased healing UV rays from the sun.

eclipse Simcha is a good one, being happy will help improve your immune system. Thank Hashem for giving you health to do your Avodas Hashem. Vitamin D with Calcium and Magnesium with Omega 3 Fish Oils will help must be Kosher, and follow directions on the label of the bottle. Using a Neti Pot irrigating both nostrils with tepid water adding about one eighth teaspoon of sea Salt is good. Olive Leaf Extract (must be kosher) is good. Elderbery Syrup with a hechtsher is good. Echinacea, Astragalus extracts kosher are good. Cinnamon, Clove, Rosemary, Lemon, Eucalyptus Globulus or Radiata, Lemon Tea Tree Oil- all Essential Oils are anti viral. Pomegranate has alot of antioxidents which is good for boosting the immune system. Making Ginger Tea or cooking with fresh Ginger Root is good for the immune system.

in reply to: Vitamin D #715908

Sam follow the guidelines per kind of fish as far as being a safe ammount to consume.

oomis 5000IU for an adult, and 2000IU for a child per day is not overdoining it. In general follow the directions on the Supplemented Bottle of D3. Do not exceed the recommended daily amount printed on the label of the bottle. Being that sunlight is a problem winter time (in the Northern Hemisphere) how is one going to get Skeletal Support unless they supplement? This is exactly why one has to Supplement with Vitamin D, Calcium and Magnesium and Omega Fish Oils following IU according to age of the one Supplenting. The other possibility is to eat foods that are a source of Vitamin D for additional support to the bones, immune system and more.

ronsr true about not getting enough sun light, that is why it is intelligent to Supplement with Vitamin D, Calcium and Magnesium, and Omega 3 Fish Oils to help support the Skeletal System. I also wrote when the Sun is shining to go outside and bask in the sunlight. I know one does not get 100% UV rays, because of the position of the sun in the sky wintertime, but even if one received 25-35% benefit it is better then no benefit. This would happen on a seasonably warm day. Being outside on a sunny day could boost your immune system that much more.

in reply to: Vitamin D #715904

Sam what I wrote in my above post I am also doing this myself.

in reply to: Vitamin D #715903

Nice Sam 5000IUs is generally the right amount for D3 for maintaining the bones in the Skeletal System for an adult, and 2000IUs for a child is about right from what I read. Make sure to also take Calcium and Magnesium and Fish Oil as well to help support bone health and well being. Make sure all Suplements are Kosher. Salmon and Herring are good fish choices to eat, providing they were not caught in water contaminated with Mercury and other toxic things. When the sun is out, bask in it free beautiful Vitamin D UV rays. Health is a gift so we can do our Avodas Hashem.

I have been reading this thread, and no one mentioned exercise which might help burn calories to reduce. There are Kosher Gyms, maybe exercise and Swimming (providing the facilities are in the Gyms)might also help one losing weight. I thought of an idea, perhaps by starting a new thread on losing meals. Meaning recipes that are nutrious and low calorie, that might help people myself included lose some needed poundage. Do other posters think there is merit in the idea?

in reply to: Smoking- Graphic Images #711876

@i am here said it exactly people will pay any price for smoking. Also shocking graphics won’t stop the Oral Addiction. I think we need more Smoking Cessation Programs to help people to stop Smoking. Chewing on Licorice Root, or making a tea from the Root may be a healthy substitute for the Oral Addiction. More successful Legal Suits against the Big Tobacco Companies may help. Eating more raw Celery, Carrot and other foods to help rid the body of the toxic affect from Smoking is a crucial thing that is needed to help the Smoker regain his health back. Getting the Breath of Life Back,so the Smoker will once again be able to smell the Roses in their Garden. Saying Tehilim may also be the right refuah.

in reply to: Help With Milk Allergy #711074

What is wrong with Mothers Milk. The probably the best for the digestion and immune system for babies. Certainly better for the baby then Cow, Soy, Rice, Almond or any Milk Substitute.

in reply to: Help With Milk Allergy #711070

I read Almond Milk which is a good source of fat may be a suitable substitute for Soy for a Todler or a pre Todler. Soy is a Bean, so it may be difficult for a 13 month old to digest Soy. Speak to your Doctor first about substituting Almond Milk for Soy Milk.

in reply to: Tips On How To "Calm Down" #710793

cofeefan- perhaps you are drinking too many cups of cofee which can cause stress because of the cafeine. Perhaps drinking less and substituting Green Tea or a calming combination such as St. Johns Wort and Valarian Root. Chamomile,Lemon Grass, Lemon Balm and many other plants have a calming affect. Visiting someone who does not receive many visitors is a nice thing to do. Saying Tehilim is also a nice thing to do to help calm down. Garden Of Emunah is a good read, when feeling stressed. Cofeefan good luck.

Sacrilege- The best thing to do is to go the web site of Kashrus Magazine, and they have a pdf listing of hechtsherim around the world. They have an Office in Brooklyn. You can contact them by phone, maybe ask them how you can take out a subscription for Kashrus Magazine. Then maybe your Kashrus Questions will be answered. I Subscribed several years ago for a year, and it was well worth doing so.

    in reply to: Autism #710947

@Tanta My post from yesterday ended with what I thought and what I read about the relationship between an Expectanant Mother her Vitamin D level and Autisim Prevention. I still think a team of a Wholistic Physcian and a Certified Nurse Midwife monitoring the Pregnancy is a good idea. It is important that her Primary Care Physcian check her Vitamin D level and make sure it is not too low. If Vitamin D can help keep the immune system of the Expectant Mother healthy then maybe she has a choice either to be Vaccinated or take Vitamin D supplementation. I am not a Physcian, and this would be monitored by the Primary Care Pyscian the Nurse Midwife. Doesn’t Autism prevention begin with making sure the Expectant Mother and baby are staying healthy?

    in reply to: Gums #707152

toomuch- I am not a dentist, what I suggested may help. I think instead of asking such a question to the CR., why not make another appointment with your Dentist and ask what you need to do next.

    in reply to: Gums #707147

toomuch- Tincture of Myyrh is excellent for the (swollen or canker sore) gums. Natural Toothpaste companies uses Myyrh as one of the ingredients. Any good Pharmacy or Natural Health Food Store sells Myyrh. Myrrh is known as Myrrh Gum. All you do is put a couple of drops on a Q Tip and swab the problematic section of your gum. Myyrh will heal (with Hashems help)the gum after applying it several times. I have personally used Myyrh for over 25 years with excellent results.
