I believe girls say it, because that is what they are told they should want! throughtout by the teachers try as hard as they can to convince them that it is the right way( trust me i know this from experience!) the only thing is is that they dont really take into account that it might not really make girls happy in the long run! If they just left people to make their own life decisions, there probably wouldnt be as much divorce! People need to think for themsleves!!!! I hope i didnt get anyone to upset, sorry these are just my opinions!

You should with out a doubt tell girls the truth! If your scared, say something like” this is just what i think….”or” my opinion is…”. Girls will appreciate the truth, not what they want to hear, but what is reality!

I dont think they mean in a theater! I mean if non jews saw it then it would cause problems, like ushpizan was a fantstic concepts and great actors but i think it gave of some bad impressions! I mean really other then by plays there really is nothing when you can just sit wacth and be ammused! Not saying anything is wrong with that, but…

I think one of the more importatnt things is to make sure he feels accepted. Make it so he feels that there is actually something( a connection, reason…) to come back. When he feels that he is ready he wont tell you and it wont be straight out, it will be little signs. If there is some acctivity that you know he has some intrest in that is ok that you never addressed before, try now. He is looking for understanding, show him you dont need him to be perfect but who he is. Do something something special that he wants, not what you tell him you want to do.

yeshivaguy1- You know i think there are more people behind it but they are to afraid to speak out! Maybe the saying” actions speak louder then words” work for them, maybe they give money…. anyway, much hatzlacha in all you do, remember we are always behind you, and if you need support! We are all brothers and sisters, both in life and for the sanctity of ‘H name!

I think we can all agree that the only way to really know if students absorb the information is if they have test! Yet i also feel that perhaps hashkafa class isnt really a class you need a grade in. I mean they should be using the time to strengthen the students yiddeshkeit, not studying abilites!!!

The biggest thing is to not make them feel diffrent, bys and yehsivas dont have to do anything if they are doing the right things then they shouldent have to change!

yeshivaguy1- no prob, you know if i felt it was from ‘H , and thought about it for a while, i am not so sure it would make a diffrence! I mean its like saying would you not go out with someone if they have 5 sibings? It is apart of who they are, and if as far as i can see that everything else macthes then it isnt a added thing, it helped make them who he became! Do you get what i am saying?

marvafan- thank you very much for that , and about the diffrent education.. I totally agree with you, one is how to live and one is how to GO and live. But you really cant have only one you really need both! What is the point in just learning if noone to show and teach, adn what is the point in defending if you have nothing to defend!!!

well on behalf of everyone(those who would and wouldent admit it) for doing what you are! I do not live in Israel but have many dear freinds and family who do and i have been there a few times and I knew i am frighten Sometimes there are just certain looks from some arabs that make you want to run, its not a fairytale its real life and its scary. As for the negative commetns, they are from people who are to scared to beleive in anything. they bad mouth what they are to afraid to learn about!!!

Its not good for anyone to use it excessively, and yet they do! But htink of the ups of texting

if someone was on a mega bus on a trip overnight and they needed to know somehting they could text someone insead of calling and possibly waking someone up! Or if osmeone really doesnt have time and they have a question they can text instead of being rude and saying”HI i dont have time but i have a question…”

its not like calling is going to die out

I am not neceassarily saying boycott germany, I am first of all saying do other people mind? I mean i konw they make very good metal for knives…. but is that a reason to give them money? I am not saying that all the people in germany did something bad, just some did and feel it is a state of mentality! When i look at somehting made in germany i think, maybe this was made by somone who murderd my relatives, or hurt my family.

Yes of course we feel diffrent about germany in this generation! Mityzraim was htousands of times worse but we can only imagine that, we have actual physical “proof” in our hands, in our blood.

I personally would not feel to boycott places that didnt let in. i can see two point f views, one is that they didnt let my people in, hte other is that they didnt want to get in the middle of something. by letting in they are taking sides and that is putting their own people at risk.

This might sound weird but just might work. Right a letter or on a sticky not what picture where it is and what is in it, then leave it somewhere they will find it. I would suggest upside down(so noone will read it) on a kitchen counter or the sort. This way they will be aware and not be emberresed that you told them! good luck, and you are doing the right thing, put yourself in their shoes, you would probably want to be told 🙂
