I am still not understanding how a male can find it ok to go to a place he feels he shouldnt go. Where ever it is,there will be both genders dressed in ways anyone frum should not see! If you wouldnt want to see it,then neither does your mother, wife, sister or daughter.

BTGuy amein! and your right it is! everyone has got to start thinking for themseleves just cause half the girls get up and go half way across teh world doesnt mean that all need to!!!

Letakein girl we all knew it was coming!

healthcrazy- that is somethign you will really need to research personally cause all awensers depend on you! they both have good reputations, but you might not be looking into what they are offering you. in the bais yaakov world they are very nice seminaries, while ateres has a bit of a more variety of girls then seminar does. you most likely find out who you know in those and other seminaries and give them a call

no matter the kid or the city, its putting tempation where it shouldnt be. theres always ways around things and no matter how “great” and “heimish” and “not the trype” the kid is,it most likely wont end 100% as the parents or gaurdins want

the tickets for MOA are pretty pricey, you can always get the points and not wristbands if you like rides, but if you like there are many deals you can find diffrent places. there are diffrent things to do in teh mall, like minature golfing, shopping….if you spent 10 min in every story you would be there for over 70 hours! all depends on what ages we are talking about….

well in mineapolis there are two diffrent frum shuls, one is right next to a kosher store and soon to be restraunt i believe. the mall is not right next door, its about 10 or 15 minutes away but worth going to in that area is the big cherry and spoon wich minneota is known for as their land mark!

st lois there is a frum shul and a supermarket attached to a restraunt!there is a faboulus kids museum, something like the recycling muesium or somethign like that, def something you should check it out!

Because at a certain age, most guys will have reached the part of maturity when its right to start shidduchim. and if not, then its a good wake up call, that if they want to go out or start and friends say they arent ready they can help him out,to wake him up and smell the coffee.

well lets see,a boy sounding like a woman where have i heard that before…..oh i know ybc, maimi boys, basically the places that kick the boys out when they start to get deeper voices and cant sing high like women,im a female and i dont even listen to these kinds of groups sing cause i know they are imitating women, they get the voices of women without doing anything wrong, but is that right?

Well your best bet would to probably ask their parents if there is anything they have been wanting or enjoy,, and is this a girl or boy? I hope that everything will be ok for them 🙂

akuperma- im not chas veshalom saying to make a new yom tov,or holdiday or anythinglike that, its not just the israeli goverment, America also does it,the united states holecaust meuseum makes it known to.

and frum kids are not aware and definetly not extremely! i have spoken to a number of kids in hight school saying they have never read any Holecaust book,or talked about it in school. Secular Jews feel connected when they talk about the Holecuast that, they feel they are important as they are as our brothers and sisters, and i think our children have a right to discuss what happend and learn about it,because if not when they are young, then when?

oom- you might be right that HP might not have sold without the romance, but it was originally ment for adults and i think adults are mature enough to read things without romance, the romance was added after it became a big seller and teends started reaning it and became attached to the romances in the series, it doesnt bother me i just feel it wasnt needed.

For me i awlasy liked Luna and prof mcgonagall they just added much to the story,Snape everyone should have relised would come back to prove himslef, there had to be a reason for all that self loathing.

i will be getting through the hunger games, once i start a series i must finish it, over last two days of yom tov i finished Brisingr and started Inheiratance ,long reads but worth it by far!

writersoul- see thats where i think one of the many reasons i like it comes up,who is to say that what is happening now couldnt lead to that happening to our world,i mean if you look at the world from non jews perspective it would def make things easier for many people….the way Lowry makes you feel for the charachters and learn as they do makes you really attach to the books and i really enjoy them(especially teh one that just came out :D)

writersoul-well you would be the first and probaboly last person i know of who likes the first. Its not that i hate it i just didnt find it that exciting i only read it cause i wanted to know what was giong on the rest of the time. i get what your saying about the hunger games,i havent read them becasuse hearing about it just made it boring for me i guess,i did watch the movie however and found it interesting. i think if people find that they wonder about the future and what kind o difrent things could happen and be diffrent they are welcome to write,my personal all time favorite book is “the Giver” and then the rest of Louis Lowry’s writings,

oom- well seing it to the end was part of it,and trying to see if i was right that voldemort was going to die(i mean with a writer diffrent like jk i thought she would surprise us all). and the romance just wasnt needed and always extra, never helped the plot at all,i think she should have thought about that a second time.

BY has become a problem in the minds of many teenage girls,i have spoken with many and they do seem to enjoy the school and its activities but when asked about how they like the ideas they push and how hard they push them on the girls, most say its a bit to much, they barely know what to do with their life as it is and teachers pressuring them is just making it worse and more confused,if BY really looks out for their best interest they should rethink what they do so they will look better in their eyes

vogue- you are not alone in your feelings. i do love my BY i think its a good school and the mission of Sarah Shcnerir amazing and noble. the problem is that some teachers have lost the who idea of BY and waht it was made for. First of all i think its amazing that 100 years ago it was shunned to think girls should go to a by and yet know we are shocked if a girl doesnt go there and yet when it comes to beleiving in female rights we are so against it yet thats exactly how bais yaakov started! (atleast where i went for by)

the fact that they dont welcome questions bugs me to no end, they want girls to be strong in their emunah yet if they ask a simple question of any sort they pounce on them seeing it as a attack agains the torah chalilah! its horrible how some girls go years with out having awnsers because they are scared how teachers will react to them.

dont get me wrong,im complete shomer shabbos, fully tznius… i love bais yaakov adn what it stands for, but im not sure if i agree to what it has become 🙁

that reminds me of the story (i forget who it happend to) that a great Rabbi was somewhere for a meal and was having tea or something and went to get a certain type of milk or creamer and he lifted it and put it down, the talmidim that saw it immeditatly thought the hecsher must not be good so told people not to use it,eventuallly it got back to teh owner and he went to ask the Rabbi about it becasue he was loosing so much buisenss so he asked him why he did use the product, the rabbi aensered the container had been empty
