If irc only whole bugs are an issue. The bugs in the water are not likely to be whole after all the processing and therefore is batul bshishim and not an issue even if can see them.

I discussed this topic with many prominent rabbanim, but didn’t hear any satisfactory limud z’chus on this widespread “minhag”

I don’t understand the problem. Minhag yisroel halacha.

I also have seen from the Shach in chosshen mishpat between 2 simanim a small kuntres which explains bal nefesh as when something is completely mutter and there is a das yachid who is machmir a person who wants to follow that chumra is allowed.
That is not as simple as some one who cares about his neshama.

Joseph that is not good enough. When poskim used the wording of Bal nefesh it used very carefully. A couple years ago AKO had a discussion of whether kashrus organizations should be giving certification on chalov Stam products. Google it there was a video. In it Rabbi Belsky ZL told 2 stores from R Moshe about how he was so careful to use that wording. Rabbi Fuerst said then he asked R Moshe that every one was disagreeing with him maybe there was something there. R Moshe respond any one arguing with his psak just does not know the sugya.

When the op says having issues with CY are you also makpid on powdered milk? Have heard from a high up in the CRC in Illinois that if you are not then all milk chocolate is edible by such a person as there is not a company that uses anything but powdered milk as liquid milk will ruin the chocolate. It also helps on most dry product with an oud as from a cost factor companies use powdered milk

I believe without the ashes of the last P’A to combine with any ashes we would make would not be of any use. So no Bais Hamikdash is not needed BUT do you know where to find the last batch?

There is a kuntress on paskening by the Shac”h located in between simanim (do not remember which) in Choshen Mishpat that says something along the lines, When a Rov writes in a Teshuva that a Baal Nefesh Yachmir it means that ALL hold with the exception of a Daas Yochid that the Psak in question is Mutter and if you feel the need as a Baal Nefesh to follow the Daas Yochid then Baal Nefesh Yachmir.

which if you ever saw the video of R’ Belskey talking about R’ Moshes Psak on C’Y he says that R’ Moshe always would say that he was always careful to write a Baal Nefesh Yachmir when saying a person can rely on the Hetter of Cholov HaCompanies.

The objective of any of these government programs is not to subsidize lives of people who refuse to work”

So why does all of these programs penalize any one who tries to get off the dole by reducing the benifits dollar for dollar and therby making it not worth the time and effort to work?

Rebdonial above quotes the Rambam (the sholchon aruch says the same wording)

I understand that you would have no issue with touching (not chibuk or nishuk) the older sister or the aunt. can you define keyotsah bahen. I was taught that means a niece. (similar relation as an aunt) from that Rambam a niece can be (technically) touched. not to say it’s a smart thing. (I like my arms 😉 )

    Halachafortoday says

“2) The only permissible relatives for a person to hug and kiss are a mother/father, son/daughter, grandson/granddaughter according to some Poskim and a sister below the age of 3 (or 7 according to the Chazon Ish). (See Aruch Hashulchan Even HaEzer Siman 21:10)

All other relatives (Uncles/Aunts, Sisters in law/brothers in law, cousins etc.) may not be touched, kissed or hugged, and all the Halachos of other females apply to them.”

Seems to me the quoted halacha above talks about hugging and kissing not about touching. I know that a very chosuva rav in the midwest that says touching is technicelly permissable on a blood related niece and singing is not assur at all as it is a chumra based on touching

the Torah not only allowed another oppertunity for those who are Taamai to “bring” (eating the Korbon was not “as” important) a Korbon but those who were not able to travel. Also heard that the 14th was to commemerate when the Matzoh that the yidden brought out of Mitzrayim was finally used up.

Oh by the way Reb chaim kanievski paskens that technically if one misses the beginning of chozres Hashatz there is no inyan to listen to the rest. AND saying Amein w/o kevanah is a real averia is for sure worse then learning and not saying amein at all. “

And R Chaim also says that a person learning during C”H not only does not get schar for learning but is doing an avierah

still see REMA MePano that the MB quotes “NOT to REBUKE anyone who learns” who says in the full teshuvah “since he he doing 2 mitzvohs at the same time”…..

I agree with sbeph, If most people aren’t paying attention anyways, so why do you care if their way of not paying attention is by learning.

Also, I give you all a bracha that relying on a heter to learn during chazoras hashatz should be the worst kulah you rely on. “

The M”B brings from the REMA MePano (MeFano) not to make a fuss. If you find the REMA MePano inside, he actually goes further than that and says learning doing C”H is a good thing as you are doing 2 Mitzvos at once learning and answering amein.

Your story from the GRA is a great story but that only shows that shavia anafshei k’chaticha d’issura was only for the GRA and in a case where I ask a rov for a psak and HE asurs it (incorrectly) shavia anafshei k’chaticha d’issura would (might) apply to the rov not to me

Bob, this refers to dinei mamonot and is a source for having an appeals court. “

I disagree. Tosfos is clearly talking about any Psak, in this case on the kashrus status of meat and if a person would feed it to the dogs without reasking another shaila. Tosfos clearly holds one would ask another and in the piskaei tosfos it is brought in all situations that a person is allowed to ask another. I do understand that we dont automatically pasken like Tosfos, but I have not seen any other Rishon(yet)who disagrees with this Tosfos and say you are not allowed to ask another

Dont get me wrong I do not shop for a Psak. I might discuss/argue the sugya to understand his Psak and possibly get him to reconsider the Halacha but in the end I follow the Psak of my Rov.

Was at a bar mitzvah recently of a boy who is ambidextrous. In the boys peshetel he was thanking his sister for helping him clarify the Halacha on which hand to put on Tefillin. The Rov when consulted, as to which hand he should put his Tefillin on, asked him with which hand he hit his sister!! Seems he is a lefty!!

while going to the left on some social issues is probably correct. the way the left approches it is wrong. the systems in place reward those who get stuck into them. if the system allowed i.e. helped people to get on their feet, kol hakovod. but the system penalizes people who get lower paying jobs to start working back out, by reducing benefits. the chances of correcting the system is better with right leaning partys than left
