if ur a shwarma fan…u must go to hashamein (in town i think or theres one in eilat) or masov (between center 1 and tachana)…there are many cafes and coffee shoppes like sam booki and mafe neeman, cafe hillel, coffee bean…also if ur in geula, mitz pree is def a must must must!!!! most places are kosher but u should always check the teuda just in case, but whenever im there i always get a shoko bsakeet cause that is so awesome!!! have fun!!

the funny thing is my sister has been living in israel for the past three years completing high school….why cant she just do sherut leumi or something???

so lets see…$22,000 on a middle child who then expects 4 years of college maybe 2 years of grad school and a decent wedding….my parents will be in debt till they are 93, as she is only a middle child and my brother wants to go to israel and live off my parents as well. not to mention to other siblings in yeshivas, i mean what do people do??? take out a second mortgage?!?

fafsa wont cover enough of it thats for sure…masa is giving like $100

back when i went to seminary it was about $12,000 and i paid $6,000 out of my own pocket. unfortunately my sister didn’t accumulate those sort of funds as i did when i was in high school….

point being, many people just go to israel to chill for a year before reality hits hard, is that worth $22,000??

It took a really good friend convincing me I am too good for him and better without him along with six month of crying but I got over my ex bf…..and u know what bh bec looking back now I deserve way more and way better…ps he was not a gorgeous football player, I think thats when the craze started lol. But the sad truth is, only time will heal, and if u start dating a gorgeous football player, thatll help even if u guys dont last…anyways no worries we crers are always here for u 🙂

for me, the scariest is when a guy is tired, and i used to go out after college which was like 9-10ish so by 1-2 we were both pretty tired but bh made it home every time :)!

once tho, a guy took me out and he had borrowed the car from a friend and didn’t know that the passenger’s seat belt was broken…it was so embarrassing cause he tried to fix it but to no avail….i wish i would’ve had the guts to sit in the back and make him feel like a chauffeur :))

Very funny wolf and so true sac!!. Imho I think drinking beer is wrong, perhaps a mixer if u were gonna take a cab but beer is cheap and he def shouldnt drive afterwards even if he insists he can handle his alchohol. I have had guys who were really tired when it was time to go, and I did offer to drive although none of them took me up on it…. 🙂 and bh they made it home alive.

Wow thats a lot of useless advice, I say just dont leave your house and make sure the curtains are drawn!!!!. I dont really understand whos looking at you?. If its a bper whos checking out your tznuis, I would just give a dirty look and walk away. If its anyone else I would just ignore and walk away or pont in the opposite direction and yell hey look its bradley cooper…then run fast.

the truth is it depends how u wear it, if its with a hoody, thats okay for a sunday run-over-to-the-gym, but with a long black cardigan it works for casual fridays!!

btw sac, i heard ankle, not toes and heels.?!?!

speaking of israel, dont u hate it when the cabs honk at u? when they stop i always ask cheenam? or kama zeh l’america…

my sister has a few from her ulpan, but the funniest was when the teacher was late a girl asked lama at ????? instead of ????? lol….its a good thing she was an ulpan teacher!!!

i heard this one from my cousin who lives in sanhedria. A bjj girl was waiting by a bus stop when a soldier came and sat down placing his gun next to him. The soldiers bus came so he ran on but forgot his gun so the girl said chayal chayal shachachta nesheeka, the soldier looked at her funny, but she repeated it chayal chayal shachachta nesheeka…so the soldier ran off bus gave her a kiss and went back on :))

shidduch dating is so not fun but honestly the worst part is when its not mutual. i went out with a guy long distance, he would come into ny every month and we would go out, but after a few month i couldnt deal with the long distance thingy so i told the shadchan its over. a few month later, i tried to set him up with a friend of mine, he said no to her but was interested in dating me again, idk why i said yes, i felt like he was what i wanted for a husband (yes he was rich and he was a football player) but we didnt connect. anyways i went along with it and i flew to europe to see his life style and meet his family and friends. i loved it there but i knew i wouldnt be happy. anyways i remember crying on the plane home and the steward was really nice and he gave me a stack full of napkins and asked if i was okay. i was okay, i was happy but i didnt want to start all over.

bh he said no after one date, in my opinion (and from experience) its better not to date anyone than to date the wrong guy!!

stay strong ur zivug is on his way…

totally, i havent had a free second to go shopping since the beginning of the year, i some how found five minutes before pesach to get a load of dresses downtown tho.

i have a high school classmate who is a seamstress and a dressmaker so she lets down hems or adds on a peice to the bottom (id rather give her the parnasa then the asian dry cleaners who rip me off :)).

last time i was in h&m i found a shirt dress on the sales rack for $15 and my friend added on a peice to the bottom…my boss LOVES it!!!

3 of my roommates broke their engagements and i only know the reason why first one did (or so they claim). Honestly, I dont want to know why, I love my roommates and I was devestated to hear each time.

H&M i love all their stuff! i like elegant and classy and often times i find great sweaters and skirts there.

im a huge bcbg fan too!!!

fox’s is okay, i just think the dressing room is super akward!!!

i like shopping in park slope where i work cause there are lots of small boutiques, also in downtown brooklyn there are some really great dress shops, i like evyette its 60 court street right by the court houses. they always have great stuff but sometimes its a hit or miss.

i agree with many of the posters everything that happens in this world is for a purpose, and if its meant to be it will in fact happen….but like s2021 asked, why the heck would u wanna marry into a family who doesnt want u….i foresee alot of fighting and headaches !?!?
