    Reb Eliezer,

He tried to repeal Obamacare so poor people have less access to insurance. That was a great help to poor people.
He told Puerto Rico that he is holding back aid to them after a catastrophic hurricane. That was another great help.
So many examples of Trump helping poor people.

I agree with you 100% that kids being raised by single parents is not a healthy environment.

Instead of complaining about the Democrat’s Social system which allows the kids to be fed, clothed and housed , please tell us the Republican solution?

    bk613.

We are in the year 2021.
The year to date Murder rate in 2020 was 43 and this year it is 38.
    Check the NYPD website.
I don’t see in your data the percentage of single mother goings from 25% to 75%.
Non marital births does not mean a single mother is raising the baby. It means the parents are not married.

Great question. How do we quantify racism? Maybe we can add a question on the census , are you racist?

    Smerel, TVAP,

There are more than 1 issue in America that need to be resolved. They are not mutually exclusive.

    Crime and Police brutality.
Racism against POC and racism against whites because of over compensating for POC.
Racism being one roadblock for POC. There are other issues that are also roadblocks for POC.

The ones that are affected by a particular issue are usually the most vocal or start riots in trying to get it resolved. (Like BLM for police killing black people and Republicans for trump losing an Election.)

It’s hard for me to believe that anyone does not realize that there are a lot of white racists in this country. This is true especially in the south which didn’t come out of legal and system racism until the 60’s. So what if it is less than 60 years ago? That doesn’t make it a non-issue. The are a significant number that are no less racist than their grandparents.
The white supremacist groups and conspiracy theories have a lot of support.

“Yet the percentage of POC being raised by single mothers have about tripled, from 25%, to about 75%”. Where did you get that statistic from?

    TVAP,

Your post is more of a rant than actual cogent arguments that can be discussed.
” The black population in the us is 13%, while the NBA is 74% black. Why no cries of systemic racism there? ” . Seriously ? Sports ?
What does a Harvard Study on reparations have to do with systemic racism?
Who cares about ethnomathematics in Oregon? I have been trying to understand what ethnomathematics means and what Oregon is trying to implement but I have failed.

Systemic Racism is not a hoax. It exists. Not all over , but it does exist.
Fighting systemic racism definitely helps all the people that have been denied equal opportunities due to it.

It doesn’t ignore any other problems that are holding minorities back. It is a piece of the puzzle.

The prevarication that democrats believe in equalizing the playing field just to garner votes is similar to the canard that that they are for immigrant rights just to garner votes.
(Trump gave tax cuts so that they rich will vote for him. Do you believe that ?)

Police brutality has nothing to do with any of the educational issues in schools. But police brutality is an issue that needs to be resolved because it effects all citizens – whites too.
The last president loved police brutality. “Hit their heads pushing them into the police car.” People are protesting and he wants to walk to a church for photo op – blast their heads off.

The stupid whataboutism defense put forth by defenders of trump was that trump can never be held accountable for his actions until the BLM rioters are prosecuted.
    That is moronic.

It is obvious that you and MadeAliyah did not listen to the trial.
Was OJ’s trial also a PR stunt since it was clear that the minority population was never going to convict him ? They came back with a verdict after an hour.

The Senate trial did not get the conviction of trump but it did convict 43 republicans of supporting insurrection and allowing every future president free reign after he is a lame duck to overthrow the government. MAGA.

    MadeAliyah,

“The ‘trial run’ was done by BLM and Antifa.”
Republicans don’t get their own reality created by the web of lies that they are constantly reading and listening to.
“The next time the police will be prepared and will succeed in defending the Capital.”
The president has lot of power over security in DC and if he is in favor of an insurrection, there will not be more security. In fact, the weak security this time was due to the president’s administration ordering the capitol police to not be properly prepared and not to engage the rioters. The capitol police revealed the letter that he received from the administration.
    “Please tell us more.”
I assume that you know exactly what I am referring to.

    TVAP-
There were thousands of people who were very prepared. Military gear, weapons , advanced scouting and coordination.

If you actually listen to his speech then you will realize that the words “peaceful protest” are meaningless.

I will admit that if I believed in what Trump said at the rally that the election was stolen, that he won by a landslide and the Dem’s are destroying democracy and stealing the next 4 years, I would have been part of the riot and not left the capitol building without a few politicians in handcuffs. ( or worse.)

Republicans Defenses of Trump that are worthless.
    1) No impeachment trial after leaving office.
    Constitutionally and historically untrue
    2) Whataboutism.
That is a five year old’s defense
    3) He said the word peaceful.
It is all about the environment that he created by his words and actions.
    4) He never expected this to happen.
He is expected to know better. There was intel of very bad people joining the capitol rally.
    5) He stopped it in real time after the rioters breached the capitol.
    He did not.

23 years ago Republicans believed that a president committing perjury was a reason to remove him from office. How far they have fallen.
If next time a democrat president does exactly what trump did , would you still be opposed to removal from office?

After further investigation, I realize that this whole posting is a false accusation against Biden.

As the State Department spokesperson explained this has everything to do with a humanitarian effort to help millions of Yemenis that are starving and nothing to do with Ansarallah being a terrorist organization.

In explaining the reversal, the State Department spokesperson said the move “has nothing to do with our view of the Houthis and their reprehensible conduct, including attacks against civilians and the kidnapping of American citizens.”

“We have formally notified Congress of the Secretary’s intent to revoke these designations and will share more details in the coming days,” the spokesperson added. “Our action is due entirely to the humanitarian consequences of this last-minute designation from the prior administration, which the United Nations and humanitarian organizations have since made clear would accelerate the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.”

Ergo: Pompeo’s last minute designation of Ansarallah as a terrorist organization would have been a disaster for millions of starving Yemenis. I think that is a lot worse than Pompeo’s defense of Trump’s overthrow of the American government.

I understand the situation as well as anybody else.

Did the families of terrorists stop getting paid? No.
Did they stop teach young children to hate Jews and spread lies about Israel to the West among other things? No.
Do you trust them with your tax dollars? No.
What negotiations? The Palestinians refuse to negotiate! Correct . Watch under the Biden administration they will come back to the negotiating table. (Magic)

Racism and Slavery were really great to the white slave owners in the 1800’s in the US. They were very happy with the status quo. Does that make it a situation that can be conveniently ignored?

The fact is Israel is not happy with the status quo. Due to the palestinians, they need to have compulsory military service of all youth between 18 and 21. They need to go to war against Gaza every few years. There is always fear of another intifada. There is always fear from the underground tunnels of another terrorist attack. They need to go into arab villages and risk their lives to destroy terrorists houses. They are criticized constantly in the in the UN and international community because of the situation.

    Shalom al Yisroel,
The squad have had no effect on the Biden’s administration relations with Israel.
Biden was VP way before they were in office and he has a complete understanding of the situation and how to deal with it. You disagree on how he wants to deal with it.

    MadeAliyah,

Netanyahu was to blame for the ramat shlomo story It was a downgrading of the relationship with the US by embarrassing the US when the VP is on an official visit.

It culminated in 2015 when Netanyahu spoke to congress and worked with the Republicans to undermine not just Obama’s efforts to strike a nuclear deal with Iran, but his presidential authority over foreign policy. It was a tremendous insult to the US president. (And I know how much Trump supporters care about the Kavod that the American president deserves /sarcasm.) The effect was to politically polarize an issue that has long been bipartisan in Washington: support for Israel.

Trump in the past 4 years has drilled into his supporters that only republicans support Israel and that democrats are anti Israel. Biden has not taken the bait. He has stayed with the value of bi-partisan support for Israel.

If Israel makes moves to damage the relationship when a Democrat is President it will be a self-fulfilling prophecy.

On a separate point, Trump hired a person to create a peace plan between Israel and the Palestinians. He worked over 3 years on it.

    TVAP,
Bail after being arrested is not a get out of “responsibility for your actions” free card.
Over 10,000 people were arrested in just the first 10 days after Floyd’s death on May 25. The arrests are permanently on the person’s record, they face jail time or a fine and losing employment. (Trump supporters are now learning this the hard way.)
Between 15 to 26 million people attended a demonstration over the death of George Floyd and others. (Now you know why Trump lost. 81,000,000 people are disgusted with him. ) Most of them were peaceful.

Democratic leaders did not cheer on violence and destruction. They were advocating for protests and they encouraged continue protests.

The protesters at the Trump rally were protesting a lie that was fed to them by Trump that the election was stolen. If you listen to his long speech at the protest, he repeats this many times.
What did Trump want to happen after his speech? Saying walk over peacefully does not exonerate him for the other times that he intimated that it needs to be more forceful.

“We’re gathered together in the heart of our nation’s Capitol for one very, very basic and simple reason, to save our democracy.”
“We will not let them silence your voices. We’re not going to let it happen. Not going to let it happen.”
“Our country has had enough. We will not take it anymore and that’s what this is all about. To use a favorite term that all of you people really came up with, we will stop the steal.”
“That’s what they’ve done and what they’re doing. We will never give up. We will never concede, it doesn’t happen. You don’t concede when there’s theft involved.”
“When you catch somebody in a fraud, you’re allowed to go by very different rules.” (THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST DAMNING STATEMENTS HE SAID.)
“Let them get out. Let the weak ones get out. This is a time for strength….It’s all part of the comprehensive assault on our democracy and the American people to finally standing up and saying, ‘No.’ This crowd is again a testament to it.”
“You will have an illegitimate president, that’s what you’ll have. And we can’t let that happen.” (THIS IS ALSO A DAMNING STATEMENT.)
“We will not be intimidated into accepting the hoaxes and the lies that we’ve been forced to believe over the past several weeks. We’ve amassed overwhelming evidence about a fake election.”
“We’re going to see whether or not we have great and courageous leaders or whether or not we have leaders that should be ashamed of themselves throughout history, throughout eternity, they’ll be ashamed. And you know what? If they do the wrong thing, we should never ever forget that they did. Never forget. We should never ever forget.”

    1) Liberal CNN has acknowledged that the Capitol mob was planned days before Trump spoke.
Meaning it was literally impossible for his speech to have been the impetus for it.
    That is a fact.

If breaking into the capitol by a mob was planned (and I agree that it definitely was and that was the main purpose of the Stop the Steal rally ) then it makes it exponentially worse for Trump. He organized a rally for the purpose of physically attacking congress.

    2) There is no person here who supported overthrowing the US government. Furthering that lie is an illustration of the reason 75 million people voted for trump and continue to support him.

If you supported the plan to prevent the duly elected 46th President of the US from taking office, whether by legal shenanigans or brute mob force, you are supporting the overthrow of the US Government. That is the term for it.

    3) The far left did in fact knowingly occupy the center of a Major American city, they did state clearly that they did so in order spark an insurrection. They were not condemned by an Democrat politician.

    That is demonstrably false.
Here are President Joe Biden’s public statements. All these are on the web and public.
(May 31) Protesting such brutality is right and necessary. It’s an utterly American response. But burning down communities and needless destruction is not. Violence that endangers lives is not. Violence that guts and shutters businesses that serve the community is not.
At a speech in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 2, he said, “There’s no place for violence, no place for looting or destroying property or burning churches or destroying businesses […] we need to distinguish between legitimate peaceful protest and opportunistic violent destruction”
On July 28, Biden also condemned violent protests at a speech in Wilmington, Delaware, as seen here at the 8 minute 24 second mark.

    4) Personally, I was very wary of the claims of voter fraud, I thought the election had been “legally” stolen (Democrat machine going house to house in certain Democrat cities getting vote) seeing the level of suppression of speech and attempts to silence any attempt at pen debate of Republicans.
A level of pure hypocrisy and lying makes me think that perhaps it is true, there was actual fraud.
And I know many people that are beginning to think the same.

Most American’s, including Trump supporters, have concluded the exact opposite. It is now clear to them that Stop the Steal is completely imaginary and Trump and his band of thieves know that their followers are so gullible that they can pull the wool over their eyes and repeat a lie a thousand times and it will magically become truth. Trump was never going to concede losing. He was defiant like Pharoah until the end.

If your only — or even simply your first — point in defense of Trump is that Democrats are hypocrites or have double standards, you are in effect arguing that the left dictates your standards.
If you say Trump can’t or shouldn’t be held to account because liberals didn’t hold their own side accountable for (what you allege) was similar incitement or behavior, what you’re really saying is you care less about your own standards than the hypocrisy of the left.
I have no problem complaining about the hypocrisy of the left. But even if the facts were exactly as you allege, I still oppose incitement and unconstitutional behavior. The left’s shifting standards shouldn’t change conservatism’s standards.”

Here are some of Trumps most ardent supporters.

As of Tuesday, authorities had opened about 170 investigations into people who potentially committed crimes, according to the Associated Press. That number is expected to grow.

An Arkansas man who allegedly used a flagpole to beat a police officer during last week’s riots at the US Capitol has been charged by federal authorities, officials said.

Peter Francis Stager, 41, faces one count of obstructing a police officer from his duties during a civil disorder, according to a federal complaint filed Thursday in Washington, DC.

He was captured on video and photographs striking the prone DC Metropolitan Police officer after rioters dragged the cop down the Capitol’s west stairs, officials said.

Richard Barnett faces federal charges of entering and remaining on restricted grounds, violent entry and theft of public property after photos surfaced allegedly showing him occupying the office of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Adam Johnson faces three felony counts of entering or remaining in a restricted building without lawful authority, theft of government property and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds. Johnson has been identified as the man seen carrying the Speaker’s lectern during the occupation, according to Nexstar’s WFLA.

Doug Jensen faces five federal charges: knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, disrupting the orderly conduct of government business, violent entry and disorderly conduct in a Capitol building, parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building and obstructing a law enforcement officer during a civil disorder. He has been identified as the man seen on video leading the mob upstairs inside the Capitol during the riots, according to Nexstar’s WHO.

Eric Gavelek Munchel, 30, was charged with one count of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, and one count of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds. Multiple media outlets have identified him as the person pictured carrying “zip tie” handcuffs at inside congressional chambers.

Robert Keith Packer was charged with knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building without lawful authority and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds. Nexstar’s WAVY identified him as the man seen wearing a Camp Auschwitz sweatshirt during the riot.

Derrick Evans, a West Virginia state lawmaker who posted videos online showing himself pushing his way inside the Capitol, was arrested Friday by the FBI at his home and charged with entering restricted federal property. He has since resigned his position in the House of Delegates, according to Nexstar’s WOWK.

Jacob Anthony Chansley, who also goes by the name Jake Angeli was charged with entering a restricted building without lawful authority, violent entry and disorderly conduct. He’s been identified by the Department of Justice as the man seen wearing horns and carrying a 6-foot spear during the Capitol riot.

“Strong evidence, including Chansley’s own words and actions at the Capitol, supports that the intent of the Capitol rioters was to capture and assassinate elected officials in the United States government,” prosecutors wrote. Prosecutors offered that view in a filing asking a judge to detain Jacob Chansley, the Arizona man and QAnon conspiracy theorist who was famously photographed wearing horns as he stood at the desk of Vice President Mike Pence in the chamber of the U.S. Senate. The detention memo, written by Justice Department lawyers in Arizona, goes into greater detail about the FBI’s investigation into Chansley, revealing that he left a note for Pence warning that “it’s only a matter of time, justice is coming.”
