This is al shtusim. Trump never tried to stay in the white house, on the contrary he packed up and left like a tatele and even did not say goodbye or welcome to Biden. He just said some things a loud that other politicians would be careful to say only in private. That is his nature, and because he is on the wrong side of the spectrum he is suffering for it.

I think it is very good to bring back spanking in schools. Though it should come with clear rules on how, where and when to administer it, like in this particular school district in Missouri

iberleigen means laying down a child on his stomach over an adult’s lap or on a flat surface like a table, couch, bed, etc., and then smacking his bottom (tuches) with the hand, ruler, strap, etc.

Zushy: It’s indeed very painful, and that’s the purpose of the punishment. From my memories I remember the teacher laying down misbehaving children on his desk flat on their stomach, then smack their behinds with a wooden stick or ruler, it wouldn’t take few seconds until the child was bowling with tears. Believe me it was very painful and it worked. But indeed in my opinion I would better side with the latter punishment which is over fast, than a long during and perhaps a little dangerous punishment that you described, I think this kind of punishment and anything similair, like holding a bunch heavy books for a while, or holding the hands high up for a while should never be used in any case. A good portion of petsh can perhaps sometimes be healthy and benefiting.

I do not understand all this arguments. Should all the teens protesting at BLM be there ? in our prespective they should all sit and learn….., not going out on the streets to seek fun….., untill the age of 21 and maybe even 25 you should be busy with your studies and not with outer distractions. But the fact that someone is a Leidigeir and does go to protest etc. makes him a murderer because he acted in self defense in a place that he should l’catchileh better not be there ? Maximum his parents should give him a spanking for going there without permission. Personally i don’t understand why a 17 year old rotzer has access to a gun, maybe he would not go there if he wouldn’t have a gun, but he’s in any case certainly not guilty at all, he acted in self defence and he got his harsh punishment already for being a leidigeir by the fear so many months of being sentenced to life in prison. I don’t wish anyone this kind of fear even for one day. Zeits gezunt.

Eishis Chail: I agree firmly with your opinion on spanking children, of course when done sparingly and with yishuv hadaas. I got spanked by my father only 3-4 times in all my childhood, but that was as they call it “gezunte petsh” and was enough for a long time. If petsh have to be repeated every Monday and Thursday then it is not working and only creates a bad atmospher at home. Better give a carefully hard spanking once in 2 years for a real misdemeanor than giving small spankings 4 times a month. Some of my kids got 1-2 times petsh and some did never get to a reason to get petsh and thats because they knew about the possibility of petsh, as one of the previous gedolim said that the kantshik in cheder is hanging on the wall mainly for the children to know that it could be used when neccesary, and so much to use it. About your suggestion that most mammes give petch, unfortunately as far i know very few mammes today have the courage to potch their kids properly and even fathers are getting fewer and fewer. Maybe they give some times here and there a small petshel for small kids for foolish or dangerous things they do, but most kids older then 5 years old do not know what petsh means, as far i know, maybe i am mistaken.

    IYK:

Thank for your long detailed posts. I will have the honour to disagree on some points, but i think your last post was a little to far, the comparation between disciplining a child through potching and shooting him dead is just not the case. Agree or disagree regarding spanking, it’s clear that those advocating spanking are just seeking the same positive outcome in the child that you described, and they believe that sometimes when used sparingly it’s the right approach

Avi K: A Ben Noach could get death penalty throgh a ruling of one judge. Look upin Gemara and Rambam.

But anyway the question here was if al pi torah it is allowed to kill a goy, so my answer was that a goy killing a goy is from the Seven mitzvos Bnei Noach, and that there is death penalty for it. I was not talking about giving actually the death penalty in our time.

in reply to: According to the Torah, was Chauvin Allowed to Kill Floyd? #1967692

    1. According to the torah, it’s asur for a goy to kill another goy, and if he did kill he is getting capital punishment, even with one witness and no warning, as long it is clear that he was killing on purpose.

    2. If the other goy was threatening his life, then by no other choice he may (and should) kill him, but if he can save his life by other means like shoot him in the legs etc. he is not allowed to kill him.

    3. By this case, i don’t know the facs what realy happened, if Chauvin or other people were in life danger or not, as well about the intentions of Chauvin if he wanted or knew that Floyd is going to die. What is clear for me that Chauvin could not get a fair trial because of the situation, especialy by a jury who are simple people with no protection. Could be he is indeed guilty, but we can not know that because his trial could not be fair.

    4. This whole thing about black and racism is balony and nonsense. He did not get killed because of his blackness, but because of his actions and behaviour, the only discussion if according to his actions it was right to keep him restraint like this or not.

    5. The activists for BLM and so on will never be happy and always claim about blacks being discriminated in United States. We had already a popular black president voted in by all kinds of Americans for 2 terms, but for those activists who realy don’t care about black people blacks will always be discriminated, as long there are white people in the world. They should have open their minds and realize that in America everyone has equal rights, the only thing what counts is what chazal say מעשיך יקרבוך ומעשיך ירחקוך, it is clearly a political violent movement, supported by the elites who nebech took over the leadership in the u.s.

I know there is a lot of ehrliche yidden and yeshiva boys who swim without shirt and some whith very short swimming pants too, on the other hand in some chassidische camps the boys are required to were shirts and a bit longer swimming pants, although still higher than the knee, it is clear to me that both ways are accepted by the halacha autorities. What i want to understand is that we know that a man should not expose the usualy covered places of his body even when he undresses himself before changing to pyamas at night even when alone in the room. So while a ehrliche yid does cover his upper part and his legs while changing in his private room he exposes them in swimming pool in front of people. There is indeed an exeption for a bathhouse and mikveh because that the derech of washing and toivling, but in which category does swimming pool fall in ? Is it a necessety to swim without at least a thin shirt and thin longer pants ? And especialy when swimming for a longer time and for sport or enjoyment. so, there is my question, why is a swimming pool different ? Anyone with good sources please respond.

    Ubic,

I am saying again, he was not trying to accomplish anything besides making a matzav and get his point across. He did not think to much when saying out each word he said which you are trying to learn pshat. He just did not think so deeply. He certainly knew that he will not accomplish anything and that Pence cannot or will not overthrow the results. If he had a nervousbreakdown that caused him to be dumb as you predict than he is for sure not responsible for his words because he has a din as a shoteh and should have been hospitalised long ago. Trump is Trump, he is not stupid though he has a character, he always uses many words which he is not thinking deep about the meaning of the words. In my mind he did a lot for the country and is not deserving to such a treatment, he is a victim from the media and the democrats because of his outstandig character and straight forward undiplomaticaly war on the Liberal agenda.

    Ubic,

    Replying to your second post.

Your wish to understand Donald Trump meaning by saying this and that is just not possible, bacause he himself was not thinking so deep when he said this and that, so now go learn pshat and shiur iyun in his words when he himself just said what comes up first. He poshut wanted to make a matzav about his claims and wanted to show that he has a big support for his claims and he has all the right to do so. Despite his nature of shooting out words he did not call for any violence and he sent them home after it turned violent. Maybe he could have sent them home earlier but what a difference was this from the riots of the BLM and from the reaction of Democratic politician and leaders. Simple as simple.

    Ubic,

Trump did not try to overturn an election by invading the capitol, thats a welknown lie the media is trying to put in in our brains, it was a demostration where some people got out of control while Trump told them specificaly to follow the law. The resignations of his close people only shows how far we are scared of the media and their kingdom, thats the weakness of the right and because of that the left is slowly taking over the world not by putting something in the vaccines to control peoples minds, but by continuausly and again and again brainwashing our minds. in my eyes Trump did nothing wrong yesterday and it is not worth to be remembered by history at al if not for our dear media. After al thay did not storm the beis hamikdash. The only sad thing is that one woman was killed, but nobody cares about it because she was not black and not liberal.

Nothing seriously happened to America by yesterdays demostration, besides that 1 women was killed, but that is not important because she was not black and especialy she was a trump supporter, so her blood is green, the protest in the summer of black lives matter was a real damage to America, here Trump right the way said to stop the violence and follow the law and there no single tzaddik of those bigshut democrats raised there voice to stop the protest which costed many lives plus damage to millions worth of peoples money. Now Twitter and Facebook are becoming the Presidents of the world and decide between good and bad. Wake up before the liberal dictatorship takes over America and the world, only because we are letting ourself from the biased media and because of politicaly correctness.

Spanking a child who needs medication is wrong

Medicating a child who needs a spankin is wrong

So what is the question medicating vs. spanking ?

I think the answer is that some parents believe that spanking is Always wrong, and they will rather use medication on their child then spanking, in my opinion thats child abuse

look up at שבט הלוי חלק י”א תשובה רע”ח אות ב and you will find a clear answer on your question on potching in our times.

In הקדמה of ספר חובת התלמידים he points out that there is a derech hatora in chinuch which is applicable at al generations, like שמאל דוחה וימין מקרבת , but while in previous generations even if someone was not so makpid on ימין מקרבת and he used more the שמאל דוחה it did not damage the childs yidishkeit because he was mekabel anyways, but today (and this was before the war) you have to be mechanech solely on derech hatorah שמאל דוחה וימין מקרבת and you can not allow yourself to use only the שמאל.

The lubavitch rebbe in shichas י”ט כסלו תשל”א was talking against what some want to interpret the words of Shlomo Hamelech חושך שבטו שומא בנו as not meaning a real שבט etc. and pointed out that you cannot change the simple pshat of a possuk.

And in my opinion Trump has also the right to continue claim fraud. He is not acting against the law and he is going to leave the White House by time willingly, but why should he not claim fraud and even ask for a investigation ? The Common Shaichel and the senses of taste and smell say that there was big fraud in this election, there is not ENOUGH PROOF for the courts for numbers to overturn the elections, but the proof that there is is enough to understand and imagine how much more fraud there was, and there would have been nothing wrong for lawmakers or courts to make a historical decision for a reelection in some states, but no one was there to take the call because of fair from the media and the chaos it would bring, and that shows exactly how much of Democracy we have in the U.S. so kol tuv, its indeed over, lets continue a freilichn chanuke
