Well B1g BOy, You’re obviously unaware that there are plenty of bochurim who are not able to sit and learn Gemara all day long. One needs Yeshivos for such boys too, or should all those bochurim go on a Birthright trip?

I am looking into one Yeshiva who caters for such boys, and yes also permits a “filtered” Smartphone. My son is finishing Yeshiva high school where all his friends have a filtered Smartphone.

If you would have any idea about chinuch, you would know about: “chanoch lena’ar al pi darko”.

So if anyone knows of suitable Yeshivos for my son, I would love to hear from you.

Any updates on those two Yeshivos? Any new Yeshivos on the market? I am looking for my son who needs a Yeshiva with a non-intense program, and permit having a Smartphone (filtered of course).

Thank you Abba_S for your advice, you must be a therapist/psychologist.

He goes to minyan like a robot. He wouldn’t need a cell phone on the island, his phone is rarely activated. Regarding food, he weighs 48kg (he’s 19), he eats to survive (no joy in eating). I wouldn’t say he’s depressed per se, maybe autistic traits…?

Where does one find a Yeshiva Gedolah for such boys? Most specialized Yeshivos cater for younger kids.

unsocial, the good news is that you are able to analyze your situation and you know what’s missing in your life. Furthermore, if you got married you can’ be such a hermit 😉

I know a 19 year old guy in my family who is a “real” loner. He has no friends, doesn’t connect with his parents or siblings. He simply wants to be left alone (with his computer). His family has tried to reach out to him, but he is not receptive to anyone or anything. Bein Hazmanim he barely goes out of the house (just for davening). In Yeshiva, he has no chavrusas (his father pays someone to learn with him, but half the time he doesn’t show up). He wishes he could live on an island by himself where nobody would bother him, nobody would talk to him, nobody would offer him anything nor request anything from him.

I wonder if he will ever marry…

Why do people here prefer Cruz over Rubio? When you look at the physiognomy of both candidates, you see that Rubio is a much more honest guy than Cruz. Moreover Rubio is a strong supporter of Israel. Listen to his speech on vimeo video 148881658.

By the way, physiognomy is called “chochmas hapartsuf”, it’s a Jewish concept.

There was once a man who bought a lottery ticket and didn’t win. He went to Rav Yisroel Salanter and complained, “How could it be that I didn’t win? I had complete Bitachon that Hashem would make me win.” Rav Yisrael told the man to buy another lottery ticket. The man did as Rav Yisrael Salanter said and bought a new lottery ticket. The day before the lottery was to be drawn, unbeknownst to the man, Rav Yisrael Salanter sent a person to try to buy the lottery ticket from him. The man refused to sell the ticket. The messenger said, “I will give you up to half the earnings of the lottery ticket (at that time around 5,000 rubles).” The man thought about it and agreed to sell the ticket for that value. When he demanded the money from the messenger, the messenger replied, “I won’t pay you now. I will use the money from winning the lottery to pay you for the ticket.” They had a disagreement, and as a result the man decided not to sell the ticket. The next day, the lottery was drawn. The man did not win the lottery, and quickly went back to Rav Yisrael Salanter. “How can it be that I didn’t win the lottery this time? I had complete bitachon!” Rav Yisrael Salanter replied, “A person with bitachon doesn’t sell a ticket worth 10,000 rubles for 5,000 rubles.”

There is no such thing as medical marijuana. It’s either marijuana or medicinal cannabis.

Medicinal Cannabis has worked for thousands of people in California where it is legal. Unfortunately the drug companies are not interested it should be legalized in other states, but the lobbyists will win this sooner than later.

People are confusing Marijuana with Medicinal Cannabis.

There are two components to the hemp plant, THC and CBD. Marijuana is pure THC whereas Medicinal Cannabis is a combination of THC with CBD. The former is a drug, the latter is a cure.

People in California (where Cannabis is legal), have been cured of cancer (even stage 4).

Here’s a letter I received from the Cannabis producers in California:

    Dear moi aussi,

We are very, very busy and working harder than ever with the cancer patients.

On January 2, or shortly thereafter, our book “Cannabis killed my cancer and keeps me cancer free” will come out at Amazon. It may take a few days after uploading it to Amazon to see it on the market. It will be a Kindle book that will be available world wide, including in libraries around the world.

We have an appointment on January 6 for a conference at the local Cancer Center. They can no longer ignore the successes and are incorporating cannabis into their treatment plan. Mike has developed such unbelievably successful strains, even we are awed.

We are especially happy about Chris, one of the patients we have been working with earlier in the year. He has colorectal cancer and had been given what he called “his expiry date,” which was to have been April 9, 2015.

Well, he just bought a brand new motor home for a cross-country trip with his beloved dog and his family.

His story would have been entirely different without the oil, and he will not be hesitant to tell everyone. When we first met Chris, cancer had spread all over his body, including to his liver and doctors had sent him into hospice because there was nothing else they could do. He was in terrible pain and resigned to die. Within 5 weeks after starting the oil he was in remission.

We are expecting 2016 to be a monumental year for our work. Mike has spent the whole last year developing strains, mostly high CBD, but also some outrageously potent THC strains. He says what he has in his office safe in seeds and oil could change cancer treatment around the whole world.

You can make choizik, but it doesn’t change the fact that people in California are being cured from cancer with medicinal Cannabis.

In Israel medicinal Cannabis is also legal (thanks to Litzman).

When we make choizik of others, it reflects how we feel about ourselves. It’s a sign of low self-esteem.

Whether you call the evidence anecdotal or scientific, the fact is that in California where medicinal Cannabis is legal, thousands of people have been cured of cancer (even stage 4).

You can google “Healing cancer with Cannabis” or “Rick Simpson” and see for yourself.

When we forgive ourselves, we don’t have a problem forgiving others. When we feel guilty, we’re not able to forgive, neither ourselves nor others.

Forgiving doesn’t mean condoning bad behaviour. We condemn bad behaviour, but we don’t hold onto guilt, anger and resentment. We can’t grow when we’re stuck in guilt. We need to learn from our mistakes and move forward.

When we forgive ourselves for our mistakes, we can forgive others for their mistakes.

I recommend the book “FORGIVENESS” by Rabbi Abraham Twerski

    rebdoniel,

When you say “hatah”, I guess you mean the groom, which Ashkenazim call Chatan, Choson, or Chusen. The Sefardim might pronounce the CH as H, but the nun is nun, so if you’re Sefardi, it’s Hatan.

The Galicianer say Huppe, Hassene, Hussen.
