aproudbyg: Nice poetry. Especially like the alone one. Such helplessness yet such optimism. very inspiring. You have a very strong sense of self, keep it up.

saysme: Strong poem, I like it.

Have you ever had the feeling

    A miniscule molecule

    with no use to society

    carried by the Wind

    in the cement paved jungle

of tall buildings and cigarette smoke

    blown by the Storms

    in the great Sahara

    A stalk of corn

    bashed by the Tornadoes

    in the plains of Kansas

    a star,

at the mercy of the Black Holes

    waiting in anticipation

    to suck you in with

    no warning.

    No warning.

Hero: One who shows great courage

    Shattered

    Orphans with parents still alive;

    Abused

    Divorcees still married;

    Helpless

    Students close by to their tormentors;

    Oppressed

    Siblings living with monsters.

    The heroes of the world

just waiting, in sorrow, to be found.

    The courageous men and women

in battle for their life, without a sound.

    Silently dreaming, hoping

    for the sun to shine,

    for the storm to end.

    Finally give the OK sign.

    Stop!

    Stop that water weathering

    On lonely hearts.

    On connecting hearts.

    On pained hearts.

    Stop!

    Stop that wind blowing

    On naked hearts.

    On mettalic hearts.

    On tormented hearts.

    Stop!

    Stop that clock ticking

    On buried hearts.

    On seeking hearts.

    I swore, I promised,

    When the sun set,

    Forever is long,

    Until the sun rises.

    Then it gets short

    And promise no longer.

    I still swore, I promised,

This thread is so pathetic that I had to post.

Please get your definitions right. There’s fashion and there’s tznius. it might coincide but do have 2 different definitions.

Also, I NEVER even heard of the concept of boots being attractive or untzniusdig.

Maybe I’m wrong but I’m just finding this thread absurd.

There is no reason why women have to justify their boots wearing.

Tell someone you love them, today,

    Before you run away.

    Fade away

    Into oblivion.

    Before you spit their face.

    Red their face

    Into scars.

Tell someone you love them, today.

saysme-how you doing? heres sending you (or trying to) what you give to everyone else here. the best way to do it (cuz i’m not really good at expressing myself except for poetry) is for you to read all the encouragement you ever wrote yourself and internalize it. the hardest person to give chizuk to is yourself but I know you could do it. Good Luck. (hug)

In Men Who Men Condemn As Ill, by: Jaoquin Miller

In men who men condemn as ill

I find so much of goodness still,

In men who men pronounce divine

I find so much of sin and blot.

I do not dare to draw a line

Between the two, where god has not.

If you would be a shining star,

    Glistening, glowing at night-

    I would pick you.

    Even if you would be

    A gemstone in the rough-

    I would still pick you.

I would pick you if you were a hidden treasure,

All lonely with no one to love you.

I would pick you if you were a priceless antique,

    Seen worthless in common eyes.

    You are not shining, nor glowing;

You are not a star, treasure or antique.

    You are not a gem.

    But I still pick you.

    hi everyone.

heres a poem by my favorite poet Emily Dickinson

We never know how high we are

Till we are asked to rise

And then if we are true to plan

Our statures touch the skies –

    The Heroism we recite

    Would be a normal thing

Did not ourselves the Cubits warp

For fear to be a King –

nowadays with all the secular ideals of body weight, shape and height, it just influences you and start viewing people that way. it someone does look ‘ideal’ then they are automatticaly not so intelligent, humourous or cool. its very sad but true, unfortunatly.

    Welcome shopping613 and Luna Lovegood!

Luna, your poetry is awesome. u shud really try to talk to someone you trust and wud be there for u. especially someone proffesional. u sound like u r in a lot of pain and need help. wishing u the best of luck and hope things get better. i wish i cud help u!

    To my little girl,

    always close to my heart.

I try to find you in this rubbish heap,

    of lies, pain and evil.

I try to hold on to you,

when the rest of it is rotting waste.

    I try to detach you,

take you away from this mess.

To love you as only i could.

    To hold onto your innocence,

your trust that all is good,

and all is out to help you.

To let you beleive in love,

    in adults who care,

    in smiles that say happiness.

    To give you nourishment,

    fulfillment,

    confidence.

    I try.

Know not of life without yelling,

    Not of life without abuse,

    This little broken girl.

I’m trying to be normal everyday.

    Dont think,

    you never felt like sinking.

    You dont know,

    you think youre safe,

    there in your nest?

    you think youre above,

    all the rest?

    nothing can happen,

    to you at all,

    you will always stay,

    mighty and tall?

    bad things happen,

    to everyone,

    one second youre standing,

    the next youre gone.

    toppled over,

    far below,

    bewildered and confused,

    from all those blows.

    parents divorced,

    close ones die,

    getting bullied,

    friends leave your side.

    going bankrupt,

    losing your job,

    failing grades,

    no time to sob.

    for some of us,

    this is life,

    forever and always,

    pain and strife.

    you maybe new,

    but i am stronger,

    so welcome in,

    i’ll help you-i’m no stranger.
