in reply to: WHY DO LITVOCKS ALWAYS SAY TACHNUN?? #2090501
    CHOOSID
    Participant

EVRYBODY LISTENING UP!!!!!!! THEARE ARE REAL REASONS NOT TO SAY TACHNUN!!!
    Most Chassidim:
*On the yahrtzeit of a rebbe with connection to the group (either a previous rebbe, or someone with substantial influence on the group or that town’s inhabitants).
*On days when special joyous events happened to their past rebbes, e.g. they were freed from prison or concentration camp, or a decree affecting them was abolished.
IF THERE IS A BRIS IN THE SHULE NO TACHNUN….AND A BIG CHASSIDUS LIKE SKVER WHICH HAS ONE SHULE HAS A BRIS ALMOST EVREY DAY!!!!!!!!CHAZZAKAH THEY DONT NEED TO SAY TACHNUN!!
The minhag of many Chassidish kehilos is not to say tachanun at mincha!!!A number of explanations are offered:
They often daven until after shkiya, and according to many opinions tachanun may not be said after shkiya, so a blanket rule was instituted so as never to come to saying after shkiya, which in some kabbalistic sources danger is associated with this practice.
Tachanun by mincha requires intense concentration, which most people don’t have in the middle of their day.
CHASSIDEM HAVE REASONS FOR WHAT THEY DO!!!!!!!!!!ENOUGH OF LITVOCKS TELLING US WHAT DO DO!!!

Menachst 29b:3 MOSHE RABEINU WENT TO THE FUTURE!!!
Rav Yehuda says that Rav says: When Moshe ascended on High, he found the Holy One, Blessed be He, sitting and tying crowns on the letters of the Torah. Moshe said before Hashem: Master of the Universe, who is preventing You from giving the Torah without these additions? Hashem said to him: There is a man who is destined to be born after several generations, and Akiva ben Yosef is his name; he is destined to derive from each and every thorn of these crowns mounds upon mounds of halacha. It is for his sake that the crowns must be added to the letters of the Torah.Moshe said before Hashem: Master of the Universe, show him to me. Hashem said to him: Return behind you. Moshe went and sat at the end of the eighth row in Rabbi Akiva’s study hall and did not understand what they were saying. Moshes strength waned, as he thought his Torah knowledge was deficient. When Rabbi Akiva arrived at the discussion of one matter, his students said to him: My teacher, from where do you derive this? Rabbi Akiva said to them: It is a halacha transmitted to Moshe from Sinai. When Moshe heard this, his mind was put at ease, as this too was part of the Torah that he was to receive. THIS IS TIME TRAVEL!!!!!!!!

Shortly after the first moon landing, the Lebavitcher Rebbe, pointed out that there is support in Torah for the notion that life exists on other planets. Furthermore, we can know something about that life through deduction from what the Torah tells us. Here is his argument:
In the Book of Judges, Deborah the prophetess sings about the victory of Barak over Sisera. In her song, she says, “Cursed be Meroz! Cursed, cursed be its inhabitants, says the angel of G‑d!”

Where is Meroz, and who are its inhabitants? The Talmud8 gives two explanations, one of them being that Meroz is a star or planet. The heavenly bodies had also come to help the Israelites, as Deborah stated just one verse earlier, “From the heavens they fought, the stars from their orbits . . .” This star, however, which was the dominant star of Sisera, apparently did not come to their aid. And so, General Barak penalized Meroz—and its inhabitants.

THE CHOOSID IS FIGHTING AN ISRAELI BUT THE ISRAELI IS FIGHTING HASHEM!!!!!!!!!!!1
The Brisker Rav’s explanation for why Iyov was punished with physical torment for remaining silent when Pharaoh asked his advice on dealing with the Jews: Iyov the Rav explained could readily have justified his silence with the claim that a defense of the Jews would have fallen on deaf ears. Hence the parallelism of the punishment with its implicit message for Iyov: When one suffers from pain crying out helps not a whit to remove the source of the pain but one cries out nonetheless because “az s’tut vay shreit mehn” (when it hurts one screams). WHEN YIDDEN DO AVEIROS AND YOU DONT SCREAM THATS A CHILLUL HASHEM!!!!!

before i answering lets be clear:In places the Torah forbids a man to cut his facial hair:

“You shall not round off the corner of your head, and you shall not destroy the edge of your beard.” Then in the context of the laws of the Kohanim: “…nor shall they shave the edge of their beard…”

Noting that the Torah uses the Hebrew words for “shaving” and “destruction,” the Gemareh understands that the punishable offense in the Torah is shaving with a razor, in those days the only technique to fully destroy the hair.

How about trimming with a scissors, or otherwise cutting the beard but not achieving a clean shave? Many (starting with the Sefer Hachinuch) understand that the Rambam would consider such an act to be assur but not punishable.

There are halachic authorities (including the Tzemach Tzedek) who teach that, in addition to the issue of destroying the beard, cutting the facial hair of a man has the problem of Lo silbash, which is assur. The Rambam teaches that the reason the Torah forbade the destruction of the beard is because shaving was a practice of ancient idol-worshippers.In addition, Kabbalah attaches great importance to the beard, teaching that the “thirteen locks” of the beard are representative of Hashems thirteen Attributes of Mercy. Growing a beard makes one a beneficiary of the bounty which originates from Hashems compassion.Traditionally, Jews throughout the ages wore beards in order to not even come close transgressing the Torah’s command. This was true in Eastern Europe, where the vast majority of Jews grew full beards until the mid-nineteenth century.
As the winds of “enlightenment” spread to Eastern Europe, many people felt that WEARING A BEARD LABELD THEM AS BACKWARSD AND OLD-FASHIONED. Many Torah leaders, including the Chafetz Chaim, protested this change. Chassidim were in general less swayed by the modernization taking place around them, as is evident in their dress. Therefore, they—for the most part—did not feel compelled to shave their beards. In addition, the Kabbalistic reason mentioned above made the practice of growing a beard much more precious to them.LETS BE CLEAER: BEARDS STOPPED BECAUSE OF THE HASKALAH!!!! ALL GEDOLEM HAVE BEARDS!!!! SO YES!!! CHASSIDEM WANT TO HOLD ON TO THEIR HOLY UNBROCKEN MESORAH, AND WHILE THERE MAY BE HETEREM TO SHAVE, CHASSIDEM ARENT GUNNU TEACH THAT!!!! FOR GOOD REASON!!! WERE TRYING TO HOLD ON TO OUR HEILIGEH MESORAH AND BY MAKING IT CLEAR THIS IS HOW IT IS WE STAY STRONG!! ANI CHOMAH!!!!

I feel like im a little bit of a learned person so mayby i can be of a clarification to the confused. The soul, or neshamah is the self, the “I” that inhabits the body and acts through it.You are not your body.

The neshameh is described as Hashems own breath animating us: “And Hashem breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.”

Evry existence requires a soul to sustain it—a “spark of G‑dliness” . A soul is not just the engine of life; it also embodies the why of a thing’s existence, its meaning and purpose. Yechidah connotes the essence of the soul—its unity with its source, the singular essence of Hashem. For the essence of the soul of man is “literally a part of Hashem above a piece of G‑d in us, so to speak. NOT KFERAH!!!The human neshameh is what sets the human being
above and apart from all other creations, even the angels. The angel may be more spiritual, but the human being is more G‑dly.
