To Zahavasdad Last year I forgot to close my Amazon store for Shabbos so I called a world renowned posek who said that I should ship out the order & give tzedakah from the profit.

To Zahavasdad if you higher the price enough like selling a tissue box for $20 & you still happen to make a sale you give any profit you make to tzedakah this way you won’t have hanoah of a sale on Shabbos.

To Joseph if someone buys a box of Kleenex tissues unexpectedly than you give tzedakkah of all the profit you made. To iacisrmma by second suggestion was for Fulfillment by Amazon should you have your own website you do what B&H does by closing the checkout page for Shabbos. The way Amazon works customers see a cheap price they purchase the item as long as the seller has a good rating & sellers on Amazon cannot get a rating unless someone purchases an item.

    To DaasYochid

I think the best suggestion is my second post. This way no one would purchase the items because the prices are so high.

Another suggestion would be to spend time before Shabbos raising all the prices on the items you send in to Fulfillment by Amazon so high that no one will purchase it & of course switch the prices back after Shabbos.

I once forgot to close my Amazon store on Shabbos & a world renown Posek whose name I will not mention as that posek does not like his pisokim made public told me that I could ship out the item but I must give all the profit I made to tzedakkah. Therefore if you can’t close a fulfillment by Amazon store on Shabbos I would think based on this psak give all the profit made from the sales on Shabbos to tzedakah. This way you won’t have to worry whether you can sent items in to FBA or not.

I am not saying whether to marry someone who takes medication or not. However if you do decide to go out with this boy & you have to know that you can handle him even if he is off the meds & not just say you can handle him even if you have worked with people who have anxiety because working with someone, or knowing someone that has anxiety is different than living with it. I know of at least one person who got divorced because she married someone with an issue & thought she could handle it because she worked with people who had that issue & after being married to this person for less than a year she regretted it & could not deal with it & wanted divorce & got divorced.

To Yehudayona all I know is about five six years ago I bought a donut from Dunkin Donuts & my Rav who heads a major Kashrus organization told me not to eat it. Now its possible Rabbi M ehlmans Hashgacha could have improved since than but I don’t know. The best thing to do is call Rabbi Weiner to find out. How can it go by a central location when the donuts are warmed up @ each location?

I also must say when I found out about the problems with Rabbi England hashgacha was five six years ago so its possible he could have changed. In general if not sure about an Hashgacha people should investigate to find out if its reliable or not. Rabbi Weiner of the K.I.C. is a good person to find out how reliable Hashgacha are.

To Zahavasdad I once purchased a Donut from Dunkin Donuts who was under R Magellan & called my Rav who is in charge of a big Hashgacha & he told me not to eat the donut & than I asked an assistant Administrator of another major hashgacha & told me there are problems. Any hashgacha that is not K.I.C. approved is probably not reliable that’s why I said that you should call Rabbi Wiener to ask if the hashgacha is reliable.

The only Dunkin Donuts with a reliable Hashgacha is the ones mentioned above in Queens which is under the Vaad Harabonim of Queens & the one in the Five Towns which is under the Vaad of the Five Townes. the ones in Brooklyn are under Rabbi Mehlman. You can call Rabbi Weiner of the Kashrus Information Center(K.I.C.) to find out if Rabbi Mehlman is a reliable hechsher. I have spoken to reliable sources in the Kashrus business & would be very shocked if his Hashgacha is K.I.C. approved. All the reliable Hashgachas in Brooklyn are K.I.C. approved.

The best segula is especially for older singles where Brachos & Segulos are not working is to go to a Gadol & ask what he/she needs to do in order to find a shidduch. I was 33 years old & was having a very hard time finding a shidduch to the point where Brachos & Segulos were not working so I went to the Mashgiach Hador Hagaon Harav Don Segal Shlita & asked what do I have to do in order to find a shidduch & about five months after I started working on the two things he told me to do I found a shidduch.

The phone calls can be annoying. However I have volunteered for numerous campaigns in my life & they always call voters because they wan’t to have an idea as to how they are polling in the race they are running for & to allow voters to know the issues of the Candidate, why you should vote for that candidate over someone else & to get the vote out. If phone calls are not made, no literature is sent out or the candidates do not do canvassing how are the voters supposed to know about what each candidate stands for especially in local races like City Council, Assembly, State Senator etc.

I am not sure if we have to listen to the gedolim who signed the letter a few days ago for everyone to vote for Eric Salgado because I don’t think the person who went around collecting signatures from the Gedolim told them that if we vote for Salgado we may give Christine Quinn who is what we would call a man a Mishkav Zachor a better chance of winning. I think if they would have told the Gedolim who signed this takkana that information I would think they would agree with me & say look @ the polls on election & see who has the best chance of defeating her & that who we should vote for. Yes the other candidates support toeiva but that are not Toeiva themselves. However if your Rav happens to be on the list you must approach him & ask the Rav if he realized that by voting for Salgado might improve Christine Quinns chances of winning when he signed the takkanah. As you R Yisroel Belsky & R Dovid Feinstein names are not on the list. I will ask R. Dovid Feinstein before the election if I have to vote for Eric Salgado or not.

You said 99% of the real world of the Yeshivish People dont hold from the Moetzes. That is absolutely not true. Maybe you dont hold from them which is a very small percentage. Everyone on the Moetzes are Gedolim & if you have a problem with any of them set up a meeting with them privately to discuss the issues you have with them before being Mevazeh.

The people on this post who are ripping the Atzeres Tefillah are being Mevazeh the Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah who are real Tzadikkim. Rabbi Sol Lieberman is not on the Moetzes.

The Gedolim who are behind this Atzeres Tefilla are big Tzadikkim & they know better than you what they are doing & anyone who rips their positions gets Hashem very angry. Once agai if you have a problem with them go meet them privately & discuss the issues you have with them.It is ossur to be mevazer tzaddikim in public.

All I can say is if the Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah support the Atzeres Tefillah we must go because if not we are going against the Gedolim which is big aveira. If you have an issue with this than go visit the Gedolim on the Moetzes & discuss this issue with them privately. Hashem gets very angry when people rip Gedolim.

We only have K”vasikin which means you have to daven Mincha Maariv, Kol Nidrei & Neila elsewhere unless you want to pay $150 per seat & you can daven with one of the main Young Israel minyanim.

Despite what the Igros Moshe says about games there are many rabbonim who will give hetteirim depending who is asking the shaila to go to games & especially to those who are addicted to it & can’t get out of it. Each person should ask his or her rav if they have an hetter to go to games. Infact someone who many consider the top Posek in the U.S.A. has given at least one person I know an hetter to go to a game. I will not mention this Poseks name as this Posek does not like when people tell other what this rav Paskens unless this Rav gives permission for others to be told. Also this posek is against the Internet & would not want any psak this Rav gives posted online.

People who think that they won’t find a shidduch because they can’t date on the Internet is wrong. If Hashem wants you to find a shidduch as long as you do your hishtadlus Hashem will make your shidduch come in a different way. I have heard people say if not from frumster or sawyouatsinai etc. they would have not found their shidduch. I believe these people would have found their shidduch a different way had they not used these websites. I am not saying it’s ossur to use but I am saying if someone who is in shidduchim who is on one of the dating websites gives up the Internet it doesnt mean they won’t find a shidduch.

Thats not true because Rabbi once quoted I think is was R. Moshe Feinstein that you should take a cab to work in the summer months to avoid pritzus & since most of us don’t do that cannot say to not go to games to avoid pritzus. I know that is Pirkei Avos Uvemoshav Leitzim & I spoke to a Rav about who is against Internet & does not want anything he says posted the Uvemoshav Leitzim means people who do Stupid things & not necessarily Goyim & you know what I have gone to games where frum jews even a person who looked very Yeshivish did Pritzus things with another frum jew @ the game so those frum Jews I guess could also be considered Uvemoshav Leitzim.

The Kosher Stand in Yankee Stadium is also under the Vad Harabanim of Queens. It’s not worse to go to ball game than it is to go on a train in the summer when there are pretty bad pritzus on the train. So unless you take a taxi to work in the Summer which I heard Rabbi Shlomo Pearl quote I think it was R. Moshe Feinstein but I am not sure than there is no reason why you can’t attend a game if the pritzus problem is the only issue thats stopping you from attending. In general the best thing would be to not be a sports fan but the problem is it’s gets very addicting & hard to get out of & thats why I think at least one of the rabbonim who gave me a hetter to go gave me the hetter at least I am assuming that because that Rav always says in public we shouldn’t go to games.

Having all Yeshivos started by this coming Wednesday is not a fair option as there are probably a few Bungalow Colonies that will still be open until Sunday & starting School would be unfair to the few families that will be in the country until than. It’s not bitul zeman as Elementary Yeshivos starts a day or two after Labor Day every year unless there is a year like next in 2010 when Rosh Hashana will be two days after Labor Day & I am almost positive that the Yeshivos will be starting at the end of August next year if Moshiach is not here yet.

The parents that brought their families home from the Catskills yesterday Sunday 08/30/09 have to realize that not everyone has returned from the Catskills yet & therefore it would not be fair for the children of the families that are still there if yeshiva would start this week. Remember the only reason why so many familes came home yesterday instead of this upcoming Sunday is because owners of Bungalow colonies do not want to keep the colony open so late when Labor Day is very late as is the case this year. As far as starting Yeshiva earlier because of Rosh Hashana the Yeshiva’s will be doing that next Year when they will start at the end of August if Moshiach is not here when Rosh Hashana will be two days after Labor Day.
