    @Always_Ask_Questions

The OP has repeatedly said that this thread is not about what we should or shouldn’t do, it’s about Media hypocrisy.
It is also a Media lie that the Chareidim are the only ones who break the rules. I have seen countless non-religious people without masks and nobody seems to care (masks are mandatory in Israel).
In fact I had a guy who asked me why Chareidim hold weddings, and he wasn’t even wearing a mask! Apparently only Chareidim need to conform.

”Dems saw what happened after they enacted a too-small stimulus in 2009. Voters blamed them (correctly) for compromising with Republicans and creating a really sluggish recovery. As a result the Democrats lost 6 seats in the Senate and 63 seats in the House of Representatives. They aren’t going to make that mistake again.”

So ‘Voters blamed them (correctly) for compromising with Republicans’ and then voted Republican?
    Those voters aren’t very clever.

‘It’s worse to do absolutely zero for 4 years than to do something that is purely for show 8 days before you are kicked out of office.’

Why? Who cares about the motive? Most good things politicians do are for show and we (rightfully) give them credit anyway.
Downplaying Trump’s accomplishments because it’s ‘purely for show’, is simply wrong.

”Where was the anger against Trump during the past 4 years on this issue?”
Because it’s worse to reverse a good policy than to not implement it at all, so that’s not a valid comparison.

”And I am in touch with reality. Biden won the election and it wasn’t close. Many Trumpies here continue to refuse to accept that and the majority of Republicans in the House of Representatives refused as well. Even as a violent mob was storming the Capitol to overturn the election, most House Republicans voted to do the mob’s agenda. So yes, for the most part, Democrat=good and Republican=bad.”

So Republicans are mostly bad because of a mob that they – including Trump himself – condemned.
But Democrats are mostly good even though they justified ‘mostly peaceful’ mobs that killed people and caused billions of dollars in damage.
That’s what being in touch with reality looks like.

Biden called it ‘short-sighted and frivolous’, because apparently Israel can’t choose it’s own capital without meeting ‘conditions’.
By the way, wasn’t he VP like, four years ago? How hard was he trying to accomplish his 35 year old dream?

This is all partisan hackery. This isn’t a perfect as reporting rates vary but it shows that Cuomo does not deserve the abuse.”

    1. Didn’t Cuomo order China Virus infected patients back into nursing homes? Doesn’t that make him directly responsible?

    2. Do those numbers include the ‘4300 to 7000’ not counted?

”I understand the situation as well as anybody else.”
Seeing the confusion of some other posters, i’m inclined to agree.

”Did the families of terrorists stop getting paid? No.
Did they stop teach young children to hate Jews and spread lies about Israel to the West among other things? No.
Do you trust them with your tax dollars? No.”
If Palestinians support terrorism, You don’t support them, period. Nobody thought they would stop.

”Racism and Slavery were really great to the white slave owners in the 1800’s in the US. They were very happy with the status quo. Does that make it a situation that can be conveniently ignored?”
Are you calling Israeli’s slave owners? I don’t see any comparison.

”The fact is Israel is not happy with the status quo. Due to the palestinians, they need to have compulsory military service of all youth between 18 and 21.”
Due to the Palestinians? Does Israel have no other enemies? Are you serious?

”There is always fear of another intifada. There is always fear from the underground tunnels of another terrorist attack. They need to go into arab villages and risk their lives to destroy terrorists houses. They are criticized constantly in the in the UN and international community because of the situation.”
All this is likely to get worse if they have a state, only it will be harder for the Israelis to monitor and defend. Look at Gaza for reference.

”Biden was VP way before they were in office and he has a complete understanding of the situation and how to deal with it.”
But he loves Palestinians too much to let facts get in the way.

”That’s my problem. The status-quo stinks and I don’t think Israel is fine with it. The status-quo means that the West Bank and Gaza are in a state of limbo, not part of Israel but not part of another state either. And I don’t think it’s unreasonable for the Palestinians to keep whining as long as they are stuck like that. Israel should have a plan as to what to do as soon as we can get a decent Palestinian non-terrorist leadership. But they don’t have a plan.”

    1. The Palestinians are not whining because of the limo, they’re whining for ‘From the Jordan to the sea Palestine will be free’

2.yes status-quo kinda stinks, but Israel can live with it, as it has for years, and most alternatives are worse.

    3. what’s the solution? I personally think Mordechai Kedar’s solution is the most logical (Google it) but don’t hold your breath.

These guys pay families of terrorists, teach young children to hate Jews and spread lies about Israel to the West among other things. Do you trust them with your tax dollars?

While the ‘endgame’ is huge political discussion, Israel is mostly fine with the status-quo. The problem is the Palestinians who can’t stop whining and pull themselves together. Remember, the Palestinians are actually about seven distinct tribes, some of which hate each other and would not get along if they had a state.

If you need therapy after seeing that, I truly feel bad for you.

Masks didn’t stop COVID from spreading, people from losing jobs, bochurim from roaming the streets or the country from going into lockdown after lockdown.

How can anybody demand that people should wear a mask to protect others?
