in reply to: Ideas for a meaningful Simchas Torah for single girls #1188271

go to shul & listen to the singing & dancing of Simchas HA-torah. Its a total different atmosphere & much more kedusha songs sung special on Simchas torah versus listening to the rocken music songs of todays singers.

This is one day a year where the music comes from everyones hearts with no orchestra or DJ in the background playing the music

ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF IT WHILE IT LASTS & have a wonderful yom tov

in reply to: Voting for Hillary #1187359

    the babbler

by not voting your actually giving one more point closer to winning to the worse one corrupt hillary.

you may want to reconsider before telling Hashem that you suport her values of abortion, corruuption & lying etc…

in reply to: Late for davening and Davening late #1187818

ever thought people might need to babysit their children while their wife is at work until the time to bring their children to the babysitter?

or perhaps an early morning job of a baker every day from 2am until 10am do you have a better time for him to daven?

    many other reasons

in reply to: Now that Trump has been revealed…hope your NOT voting for him #1187303

I agree they are both crazy but at least trump is the better of the two.

This country is going down either way. Worse then Obama’s presidency as bad as he is and damage he’s caused this country

in reply to: Now that Trump has been revealed…hope your NOT voting for him #1187301

how can any frum yid vote for hillary when she goes against our torah values & supports abbortion?

in reply to: Staying happy as an older single #1187921

as a married man B”H for many years & blessed with children. before getting married i had many younger male siblings get married before me & each time i accepted it with happiness & faith in Hashem that my time was not right & i went through their entire engagements all the way until the end after Sheva brachos ended with thousands of people watching me as the older brother of the chosson (many times before my zivug was sent to me) & still not married going around the Simcha with complete happiness & bitachon. with the complete acceptanceof faith & trust in Hashem that my time was not right yet until Hashem answered my tefillos

I will tell you that each male sibling that cut me off & got married before me, that my tefillos to Hashem got stronger & stronger to send me my zivug-As Chana & Penina-begging Hashem to answer me, but not for embarrasment of not being married with MANY YOUNGER BOYS SIBLINGS married ahead of me but they were ruchniyus tefillos of ruchnius mitzvos that apply to marriage, from Peru-urivu to making your wife happy 24-7 & taking care of ALL her needs etc…

May Hashem answer your tefillos and send you your zivug at the right time ASAP

take them to a nursing home or assisant living home to wish each person a gut yom tov & a refuah shleima & at the same time be mechanech them:

1)on the mitzva of bikkur cholim

2)how to appreciate your life & every part & vain of your body working in health B”H

    in reply to: Sforim #1186877

Orchos Tzaddikim (the ways of the righteous,in english)

over 30 chapters on different topics of things to help you improve in life from ruchnius to gashmius (spirituality to physicality)

in reply to: Hiddurim in choosing an esrog #1187181

a mehudar esrog just needs to look nice from how you see it when your holding it & not from close up with a magnifying glass. it should be spotless with no marks i.e. magnifying glasses are only necessary to be used if you see something without it & want to see WHAT IT IS so you look closer

regarding Lulav. the center peice should be completely sealed-if possible- but is halachicly allowed to be opened up a little but limited to still be kosher & not called split. it should also be as green as possible even in the back but yellow in the back is still kosher. top of luvav cannot be bent over even a drop.

lavluv haddasim are not a chiyuv its just if someone want to be more serious & also more mehudar in the mitzva

May Hashem help everyone find a beautiful set for the beautiful mitzva. which reminds me that a person is mechyav to pay up to %20 percent more to beautify a mitzva if he can get a nicer one & doesnt cost more then %20 of the one he has now

in reply to: Esrogim at the supermarket #1186838

So I guess in your case it’s the Jewish Esrog sellers that make sure each year that esrogim. Are being planted by the millions etc… And not forgotten

in reply to: Siegelman's cake #1187386

    Joseph

Sure cause every party planner has no choice and knows if it’s not included in the cakes of her setup package no one will hire her.

    ITS CALLED PEER PRESSURE

in reply to: The High Road Is Dangerous #1187582

Every person is sent down to this world with a mission and a life full of tests to pass and each test passed brings you to a harder test to pass with unlimited reward and bringing you closer to Hashem until you pass the hardest nisayon and are ready for the priceless reward of leaving this temporary physical world and heading to the true world and being in the presence of Hashem.

May Hashem be at your side as you go through this difficult test and other tests and always answer your tefillos when you call out to him

in reply to: Siegelman's cake #1187376

people today are going crazy by peer-pressure with everything, from expensive cakes which are gone an hour later to expensive fancy Simchas & expensive clothing. all caused by peer-pressure & then they wonder why they are broke with no money for food R”L

wake yourselves up to reality before you go broke C”V by living by the motto of:

“GET WHAT YOU NEED NOT WHAT YOU WANT”

a person can go out to eat, but to go just cause you want that fancy steak is insane. There are many ways to go on vacation without spending thousands of dollars that can be spend more wisely on your own family needs.

in reply to: Build Your Sukkah Motzei Yom Kippur #1186026

    dr. seuss

causing a chillul Hashem by waking up the non jewish neighbors is worse in devalue then the value of the mitzva of putting up the sukka right after yom kippur which can in truth be done any time in the daytime & prevent a big chillul Hashem which we all know yom kippur cannot be mechaper only death can forgive for chillul Hashem

Everyone have a wonderful year & sukkos

in reply to: Quantifying Evil and Evils #1185885

No matter how bad a person is even if he sims avoda zara it’s never too late to do teshuva. King menashe and a chef sinned the worst FOR 30 YEARS AND at the end of their life did teshuva WHOLEHEARTEDLY and it was accepted because they really meant it.

Klal yisroel today as a nation can still do teshuva and stop the tzaros from continuing if they WHOLEHEARTEDLY do teshuva together as a nation begging Hashem forgiveness and return to Achdus and ahavas yisroel

in reply to: trump, trump, trump, go trump! #1186069

no wonder why they call you crooked hillary. im not surprised.

in reply to: Speed Davening #1186125

    meno & hillary

i haven’t davened in a reform shul in my life B”H i walked into one ONCE because today it became a frum orthodox shul.

20 minutes was just a guess versus 45 minutes regularly

have a frum true life ahead

in reply to: Speed Davening #1186106

depends which davening youre talking about. every day davening or yomim noraim etc…

also depends on what kind of crowd your davening with:

frum regular davening takes 45 minutes

in A Yeshiva with waiting for the Rosh Yeshiva it can take an hour

in a reform synagogue it can be a quick 20 minutes.

in reply to: Gmar Chatimah L'Tovah #1185001

i wish everyone a gmar chasima tova & a year of teshuva so mashiach can come already ASAP

Yom kippur is for personal bein adam l’makom teshuva (between a person & Hashem) teshuva for bein adam l’chaveiro (between man & man) must be confronted by the person & beg him/her for forgiveness

in reply to: Where is the News? #1185006

Today is erev rosh Hashanah the day before yom hadin. There is no time for reading the news. Prepare yourself-like everyone else is doing-to face Hashem the king of kings

    Have a ksiva v’chasima tova

in reply to: reading the news #1211638

    nobody has any advice?

at least we admit to Hashem that Hashem is right & we take his gift of life for granted by letting so much of our precious time be wasted. spending our time wisely doesn’t mean it needs to be spent learning or davening. Going shopping or spending time with our children is also called spending time wisely

in reply to: uman for Rosh Hashana #1185722

    iacisrmma

someone that goes there every year has a good picture of the situation. sure it might grow every year.

copy & paste the 4 reasons why people go & let everyone know what YOUR OPINION IS about uman

in reply to: feeling depressed #1184813

make the appointment yourself or go to a different therapist.

I’m allergic to depression, someone who is C”V depressed is telling Hashem i don’t trust you Hashem that-whatever just happened that caused me to go into depression-everything Hashem does is for the good. That means the person doesn’t have faith & trust in Hashem, which is the KEY TO LIFE in yiddishkeit of being a true yid

in reply to: reading the news #1211637

now with the yomim noraim coming up upon us, how can we stop wasting our precious time of our gift of life on reading news & cofferoom & spend our time on more important things in life?

in reply to: Sending your kids to school is despicable #1184514

So you must be rich and not need a job to support your family throughout the entire year

in reply to: feeling depressed #1184794

    A few suggestions

1)make a learning time for Sefer Chovos Halevavos (duties of the heart) which will help you have faith and trust in Hashem and thereby accept all situations and incidents that occur in life with love and trust

2)from a physical perspective “look at everything and every situation as positive and for the good ” you thereby should have no reason for bringing depression upon yourself.

is 71 a normal age to be niftar or is this younger then usual & supposed to be accepted by our loving Father Hashem as a wake up call for teshuva together as a nation? you think about it & let Hashem know how you feel. Hashem is waiting for your HONEST answer & waiting for us to admit that we are wrong for living in denial & not accepting Hashem’s wake up call to finally wake up & return to Hashem our loving father.

our brothers dies. “kol yisroel areivim….” we are all brothers & sisters etc… i.e. we all come from the same Forefathers Avraham Yitzchok & Yaakov.

when we lose one of our brethren we have a mitzva of being nosei b’ol, feeling the pain of your brothers & being there for them in their time of need etc…

currently i am in the midst of sitting shiva for losing 2 of our very own loving brethren in 2 days of time.

please comfort me & daven to Hashem that no more of our loving brothers be niftar in such horrific & tragic ways

anyone can take help & should accept it if they really need it. But to take programs & other things when your not legally entitled to it, is not just pure stealing & a chillul Hashem its also plain wrong.

is it wrong to borrow something you need from your neighbors open shed outside without telling him cause he is on vacation? why is it wrong? i wonder, he is on vacation with his entire family anyway & will not be using it anyway. think about it & let me know. don’t fool yourself of the truth. YOU CAN’T FOOL HASHEM. if a person thinks he can then he is a shoita for thinking he can fool the ruler of the entire world

in reply to: Are anti-Israel demonstartions treason? #1183689

It’s definitely a major chillul Hashem when naturei Karta who are viewed as Jews by the outside world make a demonstration against Israel

Shame on them and mr. Weiss

in reply to: Issurim in voting #1180738

if you dont vote for either of them then you are giving one more point towards the WORSE of the 2 (HILLARY) & that can be very bad for the yidden & would be your fault if she C”V wins even if not by 1 point of yours

    AGREE BOTH UNFIT

VOTE FOR THE BETTER OF THE 2

    VOTE TRUMP

if he is your boyfriend & your sure you know enough about him already then its fine & should be safe to date him, but if you recently started know ing him then its best to get honest information about him first-either from a shadchan that knows him or from someone else that knows him for many years-before starting to date im seriously & heading towards marriage.

May Hashem guide you in the right direction & send you to the right people for advice on the issues needed

may all their neshamos have an aliya

in reply to: people going places sick #1183936

Depends what the situation and level of sickness it is including age of person. A cold can’t handle a head ache and needs to go straight to bed while adults it’s normal and can happen in any day but it’s not serious enough to miss work or a minyan

in reply to: Preparation for Yomim Noroim #1183806

I don’t know about everyone else here, how often we think about our life, most people make an account of their life once a year-before Yom Kippur- Tzaddikim make an account once a month-before Yom kippur Kotton. I know a person that makes a account of his life almost everyday of his life. He told me that this is the final last thing he thinks about almost every night AFTER saying Krias Shma al Hamita he makes an account thinking did i learn today, daven, give tzedaka, help another yid etc… is Hashem going to say to his Malachim i have Charata (pity) i gave this yid an extra day to live. How precious life is. Hashem doesn’t just say this yid will live to 98 this one to 108 & this one to 110, every day & hour is a gift from Hashem, U’vacharta B’chaim-you should choose life-lets learn this now while we are still young.
