You only need to give one person an extra item in their basket, then youve done the mitzva and you dont have to worry about giving the water.

Not rude it shows tremendous respect and awe, were too scared and awed to even say His name randomly whenever we feel like it, its just too special. I guess like u call a king his highness, Hashem is much more than a regular king, we cant even say that.

True, i recently discovered the same thing myself, and felt really relieved, having always thought that muslims pray much more, turns out they dont. If 5 ten minute(even less)prayers is what they call official prayers, we do that all the time, we daven unofficially throughout the whole day. I think the 5 time a day prayer was to out-prayer the yiden, thats why they did it, but they can never manage to out-prayer us yiden.

    Its totally the opposite.

Its hard to reject everything youve known from childhood for what you know is the truth, but the fact is youve seen how empty and wrong it is and you know you are choosing something better.

On the other hand, people who have not been exposed find it hard not to be tempted by things they see that look like fun, and they want to try it. To be able to withstand those temptations, thinking you are probably missing out, but still holding back because you know Hashem wont be happy, is much more special.

Another point – most adults who live a frum lifestyle, do so by choice, not copycatting.

Later on a girl was trying to ask me something and didnt know the word in english so she said it out loud in yiddish hoping one of her classmates would translate it for her, and i had a huge smirk and translated the word for her haha ive never seen such a shocked bunch of girls it was really really funny!!

I know exactly what youre talking about, i watched it in a film presentation, and im telling you the whole story is totally made up by the zionists to make ppl hate and distrust the frum ppl.

The whole story from beggining to end does not make a drop of sense, it was a while ago that i watched it, so i dont remember the exact details, but its so made up.

How could they have made it into a movie if it wasnt fake? Not one frum person would have been willing to act in such a thing. It was set in monroe or somewhere like that, would a huge movie cam not have made the people go mad? They re-acted the whole thing? It doesnt make one drop of sense.

If you know the history of the jews of yemen, most of them emigrated in the operation magic carpet, orchastrated by the zionists, and when they got to israel, they shmad them all. That was the main immigration that they did, but even after, they continued trying to get all the rest of them to immigrate to israel/palestine. The satmar organisation saw what was happening, that these innocent yemenites were being fooled, and they set up their own organisation to get the yemenite jews out, but to emmigrate to frum communities in america and england. They told the yemenites how the zionists were really tricking them and wanted to take away their yidishkeit, and managed to help a lot of them escape the zionist clutches.

The zionists were mad about them, and they try their hardest to make the satmar org. look terrible.

This story is one of their fabricated lies to make ppl distrust them. Note that in the story, every time the yemenite family was feeling at the lowest, who steps in to help them? A zionist mizrachi jew(and i have a feeling he only put on a kippa for the sake of the show). It is so obviously a lie. Do you really believe it possible of any yidden to act the way they were portrayed? And which frum yemenite family, known for theyre tznius, would allow the wife to be publicly filmed? If you just open youre eyes, youll see what a bunch of trash this whole thing is, made up from beggining to end.

“This shtus has to be removed from Yiddishkeit. This is nothing compared to the clowns who engage in lead pouring, and that is nothing compared to alternative medicine (which Rav Blumenkranz AH called A”Z and kishuf) and vitamin supplement scams. All of this garbage has to be purged from Klal Yisroel. “

Great bear you are talking such nonsense i dont know why nobody has told you that yet.

There are many more rabonim who give haskomos for lead pouring and alternative medicine, in fact many who practice it themselves on the side, than rabonim who hold that stepping over someone and other such “bubbermaisos” are against yidishkeit.

“Superstition = goyishe inyanim that crept into our world from the same neighbors who tormented us for centuries. Anyone who believes that stepping over a child retards growth needs to learn very basic human biology – or ask a frum doctor to explain that growth hormone cannot be affected by such an action. “

Tell me one goy that believes that stepping over a child causes him to stop growing.

I dont know whether i believe in it or not, but better safe than sorry why play around with something like this just because you want to prove a point?

Measles, mumps and chickenpox and flu i had, and polio is basically extint.

enlightenedjew – there is loads of evidence, i would post google links if i could -search youself, and my doctor relative has firsthand experience of many cases of really bad effects of vaccinations.

People should not blindly believe their doctors, who often have their own agenda, or else are being forced to go by the governments agenda.

There is a lot of evidence proving that many seemingly innocent vaccinations are in fact a risk, and can cause serious conditions, including autism, even death although that is rare.

A doctor i know personally is extremely against giving children these routine vaccinations, because of the amount she herself has seen occurring from them.

Besides for the fact that very often these vaccinations do not help, as there are so many strains of every disease and its practically impossible to be vaccinated against them all, and very often children who have been immunized against a disease will get it anyway.

Most of these diseases are unpleasant but harmless, and getting them gives a much better lifelong immunity than a shot does.

I personally had all these diseases when i was a kid, as did many of my cousins and siblings, and honestly, we are all totally fine, the only effects are a much stronger immune system bh.

Like i said, its unpleasant, but not dangerous, and the risks of the vaccines are very real, and many ppl just do not want to take risks with their kids.

I totally understand this girl i feel the same way sometimes, but for me, i dont know if the same for her, i know the reason comes from too much exposure and thinking like the non jewish world, where ppl dont want to commit, and its easy to think that one would have a much easier and more fun life without being tied down to a husband and children, and all the responsibilities it brings, and the fact that u are not free to do wat u want and have fun in the same way u did wen u were single.

Looking from a secular viewpoint, which is what a lot of frum young ppl do whether u admit it or not, married life is totally not worth it, it feels like were wasting our young and best years, being married, and unable to party and have fun.

Obviously having fun in a wrong way, but thats not the point.

I dont know if this is the reason for the girl u are talking about, but if it is, and im sure there is some of that mixed in, what helps me is going to shiurim, reading english seforim by rabbis, and listening to real jewish music, basically trying to immerse myself in jewishness and then it helps you see the truth, but its hard.

Anyway all im saying is that its normal, and all you can do is try to inspire her with yidishkeit, and talk to her on a deep level etc.. I hope im making sense..

Gift certificate from a close friend?? I would not appreciate that, it sounds like you could not be bothered getting them something and just took the easy way out, it is sooo impersonal definitely not for close friends. Rather just keep the receipt from whatever you buy and let them know they can change it.

Gift certificates are what you give to thank someone for doing you a favour or something, or a wedding gift.
