Back to the matter at hand, don’t you think that Joe Girardi should put A.J. in Game 6 after CC pitches Games 1-4, and Andy Pitches Games 2-5 , and Phil Hughes will pitch Game 7 if needed?
If you walk into your computer room and see your kid on Yeshiva World would you further look into which of the threads he’s reading (even if you would, it’s probably because you participate in these threads, but what about a parent who doesn’t blog, and just knows about this site and that it’s a clean one?
Your kids sure have themselves a chilled out pop.
then I guess you should call yourself WellinformedGoogleYid
The thing I find interesting about Pizza is that the Pizza Man doesn’t look like he has a specific recipe, they just roll around some tomato Sause, sprinkle on some cheese and put it into the oven, and yet they have different tastes, and every pizza store makes all their Pizza to taste the same
I don’t get your point?
I don’t have any current threads in mind, just speaking in general
Did anyone watch the link?
Thanks alot for the education on this and many other topics!
You really are well informed
I don’t think writing about sports is any worse then writing about 1)Secular Music 2)Movies 3)Girls wearing inappropriate clothing (very graphically described here), etc.
P.S Send regards to the dolpins
Just for the sake of argument, you say that if a teen reading a thread has any questions heshe should ask a Rav or a Machaneches, but what about us adults, should we not be asking a RavMechaneches all our relevant issues in Judiasm, but rather be writing about it on a thread online with perfect strangers?
Phil Hughes is going to really keep up his pithcing in the 3rd start for two reasons:
1- Because as you said they need a 3-0 lead for A.J. to keep him calm and focused (if that’s possible at all)
2- Because he will be pithcing against Cliff Lee
I’m really not so sure, I was a kid too.
I want to reiterate that I really like this thread, I just wanted to try to explain 1987s view
I got news for you, Yerushalayim is the best!
What are the crossroads of Big Apple Pizza?
From where do they come?
Doesn’t P.E.T.A. have a problem with insect extermination?
I once heard a cute story about “Aravot on the Aron Kodesh”. A Chossid was once davening by his Rebbe’s Shul and wanted to see his Rebbe so he went on to the Aron Hakoidesh (Chassidim used to do these things), and his rebbe saw him and gestured that it’s inappropriate, so the chassid promply responded “Ich bin nisht erger vi a tziklapte araveh”. (Trans. “I’m not worse than a beaten Araveh”)
Ni tzi den past is far a yiddishe meidel tzi gein tzi a gemishte College?
I love Ammnon’s Pizza in BP, and also Dagan’s Pizza in Mill Basin, Alot of people from Crown Heights come to eat there with their families, including Avraham Fried
I’m not commenting about whether this thread should be on “Yeshiva World”, personally I am loving this thread.
But regarding what you said that who lets their teenage children on the internet unsupervised, and if you do this is your smallest problem, I’m not sure you’re right about that, because if you have filtered internet then they can’t go on obscene sites, and yet can go on Yeshiva World, so that’s what 1987 is talking about
A.J. Burnett is on the A.L.C.S. starting rotation, Uh Oh!!!
So you’re rooting for the Giant’s?
And Oswalt is reliable?
Lower as in better?
I’m not sure what you were getting at in that post
Again with Philly, lol
Squeak, come again please
Definitley Mo, He’s back to his old self in the Post Season, which is; the Best Relief Pitcher Ever!!!!
Right on BP Totty
Right there, But We have CC who is pretty much as good as anybody, We have Pettite who won more post season starts then anybody ever with a staggering 19-7 , And Phil Hughes who was dazzling us last week, and we have a better defensive infield that them and a red hot offense
How about Washington D.C.?
I think you have a point in general that the respect level of today is not what it used to be, but regarding respect for this President, he doesn’t have respect for himself why should we have respect for him.
Check out this link:
I heard 2 very cute stories about Yeshivah Bochurim who were into Baseball back in the 60s:
1) In the Telshe Yeshiva during one of the World Series Games the boys were in middle of learning in the Mishmar Seder and did’nt want to stop learning, but wanted to know the score, so the shut off all the lamps on the yartzeit Board on Mizrach and made up that one side was the yankees and the other side was the opposing team and one guy listned to the game, and when either side scored a run he would go over to the board and turn on one bulb on the the designated side and all the bochurim would look at the board every once in a while and stay updated.
2) The Boys used to say when someone had a very good “Kushya”, “It’s so Shver that even Mickey Mantle ken es nisht upshlugin
Blinky, Thanks Amillion for the advice, I tried it and it works like a dream!
Although the Phillies have very good starting pitching, and a pretty strong offense, they have no chance of beating the Yankees!October 11, 2010 5:29 pm at 5:29 pm in reply to: Will Rav Amnon Yitzchak manage to change the music industry? #701548
Where can I see the aforementioned video
Yeah, the song Unity was done beautifully, but I think that they gave each singer to few lyrics. But not withstanding, it was done very well.
Who do you think the Yankees are going to play in the A.L.C.S.?
Thanks blinky, I was also looking for advice on the topic!!!!!!
How does Baby clothig get bummy?
Avraham Fried feels the need to have a one name name. Like Lipa, Dedi, Shwekey, etc.
The new song by The King of Israeli Music CHAIM YISROEL called Chomot Shel Tikva, really is a beautiful song
it’s pretty impressive that he didn’t accept the shabbos job, but what about singing with women?September 15, 2010 3:53 pm at 3:53 pm in reply to: Why don't heimeishe ladies use baby slings to schlep babies? #696182
There was a story with one of the late Gerrer Rebbes, The Imrei Emes ZT’L, who once said that he has a few thousand chassidim who don’t wear teffilin, (He meant children), the analogy being: He might be a frum man
Kudos! I always say the same thing.
Why should a man NOTICE a woman’s lack of Tzinius in the first place??
There was a story a few days ago in the NY Jets locker room, where a female reporter came in dressed very provocatively, and obviously the men in the room said some minor offensive comments.
The feminist groups got all upset about it calling it a chauvinistic offence.
Now obviously I’m not comparing Heilige Yidden to these players, but you have to understand that men have Techinos and will have nisyoinos to be oiver aveirois, if you dress inappropriately!
Lol!September 1, 2010 9:51 pm at 9:51 pm in reply to: Which Singers Are Your Top 3 Favorites, (list by order) #1109070
I think the CB trio that he mentioned, refers to 3 kids that sang by a wedding in Boro Park last week.
Is that correct, d a?
You wanna know where they stand? They stand by four killed yesterday, and by one critically injured today. That’s where they stand
Thanks Blinky, Keep ’em coming!September 1, 2010 7:52 pm at 7:52 pm in reply to: Which Singers Are Your Top 3 Favorites, (list by order) #1109065
