So I propose that the school reframe the whole conversation by saying all children are welcome — but if you send them to us we will vaccinate them.
The rabbonim claiming the schools are denying the children chinuch are anti vax. This won’t help.
Imagine saying “we’ll accept your child, but first we’ll give him 40 lashes”.

As the study I posted earlier details the decline we see in sIDS yet more children receive vaccines than before, which demonstrates that SIDS have nothing to do with vaccines.
Actually, since Doomsday believes correlation=causation, it proves that vaccines prevent crib death.

What makes this worth discussion is that it is commonplace for yeshivos to throw kids out impulsively.
How do you know that it’s impulsively? Unless you’re in chinuch, which would be a major shocker considering how you constantly bash mechanchim.
This is essentially what is happening, except instead of the schools vaccinating the kids, they encourage the parents to bring them to an accredited physician to vaccinate them.
In other words, it’s already the parents’ fault.

Rav Shlomo Zalman Auerbach is quoted as giving a reason for the minhag of eating sufganiyot that the bracha acharona includes the words “v’al heichalecha”.
I think anyone who thinks there is actually an answer to this shouldn’t be trusted.

Why is this question only addressed to mesivta/ highschool and not elementary or post highschool. And why not address girls as well?

1. What Hetter is there, in Shas or Poskim, for Yeshiva Bochurim to not daven a proper Chazaras HaShatz by Mincha? Now even if you’ll Taanah that back in Slabodka (where I think this minhag originated) they lived Toraso Umnaso, how does this apply in the US, where you have breaks for lunch and breakfast, and in some Yeshivas for Limmudei Chol. I find it hard to believe that you can’t find 5 minutes in a day to do a Chazaras Hashatz like the Chachamim decreed.
R’ Yaakov Kamenetzky is quoted as saying that the original takana to say chazaras hasha”tz was not made in a beis medrash, where the attendees generally know how to daven themselves. It was only made for shuls, where it is common to have people who need to be yotzei with the sha”tz.
Shacharis is different because of s’michas geulah lit’filah (at least according to the common minhag of starting t’filas lachash after kedusha).
You also don’t lose Birchas Kohanim at Mincha (I’m not sure if R’ Yaakov said this point).

Absolute dangerous nonsense. No, you can’t do whatever you want to your children. It’s your G-d given responsibility to take care of them properly. It is therefore a halachic obligation to vaccinate them. You have no “right” to inflict your meshugas on them or on others’ children through exposure.
The two numbers, as Health points out, aren’t contradictory. Besides the numbers being from different decades, let’s simply look at the CDC statement again:

Also each year, among reported cases, an estimated 400 to 500 people died, 48,000 were hospitalized, and 1,000 suffered encephalitis (swelling of the brain) from measles.”
So an estimated 500 people died among the reported cases, not among the total estimated 3 to 4 million.
The total estimated cases and the total reported cases are two totally different numbers. To figure out the percentage, you need to use the number of reported cases of measles, not the total estimated cases, which assume many unreported cases.
The question is how many reported cases there were.
Guess what, on a different part of the CDC website, they write there were 500,000 reported cases. 500 deaths would be 1 in 1000.
Doomsday, you’re either lying by covering up the inconvenient facts, or more likely, you’ve been had by the anti vax websites and groups.
Either way, the whole premise of your “the CDC is lying” claim is totally false.

Unbelievable. You have no problem putting your kids and other kids at risk, yet you call others out for a lack of yiras shomayim.
Last night I went into one of the local general supermarkets as is my Motzei Shabbos post Thanksgiving custom and bought every single frozen Empire turkey which were marked down to 99 cents per pound and stocked our freezers in the garage. I was able to purchase 12 of the 14-16 pound birds and 8 of the 20-24 pounders. By next week they’ll again be about $3.79 per pound in the market.
No wonder I couldn’t find any.
As painful as these stories are, they don’t prove anything.
