if you are not interested in going into a classroom – then probably not. There is a big demand for male special ed teachers in the jewish world but one on one can be a female too. There are less options

a great carriage to compare to the city mini is the Britax. It is very comparable and much cheaper than the city mini and you can get the stroller and carseat for less than the city mini. Also the Britax comes with a piece that you attach to the side of the stroller and the carseat clicks into it. It is great.

hello, there is already vouchers in Israel – the govt pays for Bais Yaakovs and some of the chadorim (I am not sure exactly how it works with boys). The tuition for girls is about 1/10th of what it is here. you also do not pay health insurance – that is 2/3 of the big expenses (mortgage being the third)

there was a whole article last week on this in the mishpacha with some stories. A while ago there was a story in one of the magazines about a family like this where they had many deaths and tragedies till one cousin/niece managed to make peace and B’H they had a lot of nissim after that. I am not sure where it was.

it might be too late for this year but there is a bell that I used for my son – for bedwetting. It really worked for him and I’ve lent it to a few other people who have had success with it too. It rings when it gets wet and wakes up the child. It takes a few weeks but then they either get up by themselves or sleep through the night dry. It is amazing.

you’re assuming too many things. It is like saying – let’s assume challa is not chometzdig why wouldn’t someone eat it on Pesach?

That is not the situation. Many would join the army if the gedolim would ok it. They would ok it if the situation would be ok for chareidim – it is not in many ways!! END

If in the US you truly want welfare people off – you need to put them to work – make them clean the streets, clean public buildings etc. (I’m sure there are a thousand other things that can be done) in order to receive their welfare check – they’ll get off welfare fast because they can make more doing anything else.

Another point – you can make thousands of dollars in the US monthly – between food stamps, state health insurance, section 8 etc. You never have to get off of that (unless your income changes). And yes my taxes go to pay for that – that is the system

Just one point – you said he woke up at 5 – 5 is the morning. If he slept till 5 I would feed him and put him back after. Good luck.

I specifically said non-jewish – so no chillul hashem involved, if it would be.

I don’t think behavior issues or moderate autism is severely disabled. I actually don’t understand the giving SSI at all to a two year old. They are provided with therapies… once they start school – they are in specialized schools… but I guess that is why I don’t run the government. If I did it would probably have a surplus not a deficit.

I’m not sure how exactly it works but the families that I work with (not jewish low income…) all try to get their toddlers to have some sort of “disability” so they can claim SSI for them. I’m not sure why a two should be getting SSI but many of them do.

I know what they are doing with it – they do have wifi with filters and white lists. Some of it is not working. I am interested in a school that has a program that is working.

For a second grade – filters may work but not for 12-13 years old, unfortunately. And even without wifi there are ways to get internet access

come on – yes your taxes fund programs. would you rather it fund some black’s programs – who get a lot more programs than any person in BP or Lakewood. At least be happy that your “siblings” can also benefit. And I don’t/never did receive any benefits – I am a real middle class family – I can’t afford many foods or other items that people on food stamps/state insurance/…. can but I am still happy that they have what to live on. As long as it is done honestly – there is nothing wrong with it. Especially today when it is impossible to find jobs and when you do find a job – you can’t live off it anyway.

Barrack/Akiba is a middle to high school not elementary. Torah Academy of Philadelphia would be the elementary school for Lower Merion/Main Line. A few years ago I would have told you not to think about it with a child with special needs but they have really improved in that area to accommodate as much as possible. Lower Merion (Merion/Bala) is a really nice area with over 600 families of every type! – Kollel/Yeshivish to young israel to modern to MO…. The school is a real mix and kids from every type attend it. It is great for a family that is no “typical”. YOu can check out their website for more info.

The Charedi population in Israel is growing much faster than the rest of the population. In Israel you cannot work unless you go to the Army.

At some point 50% and even further 75% of the jewish population in Israel will be Charedi.

How can you run a country when 50-75% of the population is in Kollel.

How can you defend the country when 75% refuses to serve in the Army,”

actually only 1% of americans are in the army and they manage fine.

I’m happy you people can compare now to Moshe Rabbenu’s times
