Try reading the words as they come up as you are driving. “Stay in lane”, makes perfect sense.
Try TIUNY the Chofetz Chaim branch in Rochester. Had great experiance with son and Rabbi Davidowitz is easy on the boys as long as they behave properly.
can it swim?
Toi- Regarding scotch being the yummiest bear in mind that we all have different tastes and therefore the yummiest to each of us may differ. I also prefer scotch but my son in law says bourbon is better. I tell him he is entitled to his opinion no matter how wrong it might be.
is it shoes or boots?
I know some women who work in a lunchroom/cafeteria in Yeshivos. Should this be viewed as a problem (if someone is hungry, what should they do). Many of these women are mothers of bochurim helping pay the tuition by working. Where is the problem.
Yoyo–Thats a hard one. Probabely get many differing opinions on that. Some with religious connotations, others with psychlogical. I think you would have to find a ‘Yosef Hatzadik’ on this one.
I agree with WIY. A body, even a dead one is still Tzelem Elokim so show some respect. Another far fetched thought I have is maybe since death is “mechaper” then they have been absolved of their sins.
orange juice, herring in cream sauce, vegetablesoup with bowtie pasta and barley in it.
when in my house my daughter always lit her own but after she was married her husband said his minhag is that the husband lights and it includes her so she should not light.
I dont disagree with you . How many times in life do things not work out as we wished when dealing with other people. So wer try not to have to deal with that person again, but that doesnt keep us from still dealing with others.
True chesed is in the heart which is the emotions department, not the logic department. You have to keep a smile on your face even when you feel that you have been “ABUSED”, you’re making points upstairs for the mitzvah. The next time you feel it would put you in an uncomfortable position let someone else do it, but when the chessed is being done by you, let the recipient feel that they are cared about because thats really what its all about.
“inclined” does not mean will. Always read a politicians words very carefully.December 14, 2011 1:14 am at 1:14 am in reply to: Serving Alcohol To Bochurim And Sem Girls And Kids #835340
Definately not. You should never encourage the use of alcohol and you should also realize that if they are minors you are breaking the law and are liable if they get into some sort of trouble as a result.
Sometimes I wonder if this is the same Judaism I grew up on. What is the difference what color the shirt. Is it clean, neat, matching your other clothing, etc.seem to be more of a concern. When I was a child I remember Rabbonim wearing brown suits and hats also. Were they renagades. I think not. Judge the book noy by its cover.
Imanonov. Thanks for the invitation. Who is the caterer and under whose hechsher?
“Drinking lowers our inhibitions”. Yes but it also can help one fall asleep. It can also have ‘medicinal qualities’. Like anything else it depends how it is used and in what quantity.
who couldn’t care less
toi- I went to b&h about a year ago and got the same camera you did. Best camera i ever had. for about $20 you can get another battery and youre good for a full day when on vacation. Extremly clear pictures and a great zoom.
oomis-you are correct, he is a fool. But, he is also correct because Hashem watches over fools.

But there are things we should not forget. Like compassion for another human being.
Gezunthiet………..I think you should put it off until the first day of the rest of your life. That would be TODAY.

I can’t tell you what I do but I can say “The secrecy of my job prevents me from knowing what I am doing.”
Itche, Rabbi Mehlman lives in Manhattan and he just like other people, has to make a living.
we tend to judge each other because we have no right to. And people often do what they should not. So, lets all work on ourselves to be more accepting of one another.

around 65. 50 we make(of course with a theme) 10 are bought through Keren Aniyim and 5 are recycled to those not originally on our list to whom we have to reciprocate.
apushatayid–we all realize the ribbono shel olam is the source of all bracha yet we all engage in hishtadlus and then leave the outcome to him. If this good rabbi has a track record of helping thru his brachos then consider that the hishtadlus and of course if successful the ribbono shel olam gets the credit and the rabbi gets an assist.

would it be ok to marry a painter, writer, doctor, banker , accountant, photographer or any other profession you want to name. Every type of profession has its pitfalls, staying away from those pitfalls requires a person of integrity. Find such a person and all will be ok regardless of profession.
I think you hit the nail on the head in the question. It most certainly is a case of showing hakoras hatov and I don’t beleive there is anything halachicly problematic with it.
you are right about g-d being removed, but that was for people who did not beleive. When g-d was in the pledge it was non denominational so there was also not a problem.
