If they wash them and they are clean – what’s the problem. I know people who wash real dishes and never get the grease off

Shticky Guy – There is a long mesorah of Moishe Rabanu waering a shtreimal with documented pictures going back over 45 years. I’ve only seen the picture from Har Sinai, never from krias Yam Suf. I assume that Yisro bought it for him at the time of the chassanah.

I doubt that $200,000,000 is spent on Pesach programs. Landaus shul gave out $200,000 last year for Pesach and at the appeal; after each minyon they say there is more need. I have not heard that they are unable to raise the same amount as last lear. I occaisonally catch a minyon there, but gave for their Moas Chittim as well as my local shul.

I suggest that you look in the Jewish Press where there are usually ads for telemarketing for tzdakas and basement apartment shares. If you’re in Brooklyn you may benefit from the programs and community at Ohr Nava.

Everything is very excpensive in NYC so don’t be shocked.

Pomegranate is a simcha so she should dress accordingly. At KRM they don’t feel the need to dress up, oly to dress with tznius and at Moisha’s the Sefardic women dress as Sefardic women do.

The level of tznius in Flatbush is constantly dropping and leads to distracted driving.

Where can I get handmade shmurah for $10or even $15 a pound?

Salt, and sugar may be problematic. Almost all American sugar is good and has Pesach hasgocha year round, but imported in questionable. Table salt has additives.

Raw packaged chicken and meat is Pesachdick year round, but meat and chicken from a butcher may be handled with chometz at the shop.

The best way to save money and avoid problems to to keep processed foods to a minumum for the 8 day.

In Brooklyn it’s gotten totally out of hand so that Mortdechai and Esther wouldn’t know that what’s going on is shaloch monos. For stores to have hundreds of varieties of sugary candies and for people to load shopping carts with nosh is not what it’s about.

I assume the current practice is endorsed by the American Dental Society. If Bloomberg saw shaloch monos being givenm out he’d outlaw that instead of large soft drinks.

Stick to bottles of wine or scotch both of which are beneficial to health.

Like that goysha holiday in December, Purim has been comercialized. Purim stores, hundreds of different candies, many of which are made in China and fancy shaloch monos already made up in the stores. What happened to the shaloch monos of old, a bottle of wine and a homemade cake or a salad? It has totally gotten out of hand and matonos l’evyonim largly ignored. And Vodka and Bourbon, replace the required wine at the Purim seuda (not the night before). A dentist’s, acandy store or liquor store’s dream holiday isn’t what Mordechai and Esther intended.

He chose the church cemetery to make it easy for the public to visit the grave. The funeral is in Temple Emanual the reform temple. There is not a single Jewish descendant of the founding members of that temple and with acceptence of goysha spouses and patralinial descent probaby few Jewish members today. Not much difference between the temple and the church which owns the cemetery.
