If that was a problem it would also apply to heating that is controlled by a thermostat. It would mean for 8-9 months a yrear you couldn’t enter or leave your house or shul. All shuls that I’ve been to have ac and people including very chosul rabonim seem to enter aqnd leave.

Flatbush, Boro Park, 5 Towns. I see it daily, women wwho are wearing shaitels but clothes that are too tight and too short. They don’t have to dress like women in Williamsburg but a little longer and looser would by stylish and halachic. The problem seems more extensive recently or I’m just finding it more distracting.

If you like to park in crosswalks and at hydrants – choose Boro Park.

These atheists do beleive in the media and evidently sent out press releases before the weekend which is a slow time for news. The frequernt mention on the news stations gave them a lot more publicity than the billboards themselves will. This is a media stunt, not an attempt to make atheists out of the Williamsburg chassidim. Ignore them.

In Brooklyn we have all income levels, the rich, the wannebes and the poor that are just making it. For a frum family of 5 to get by in Brooklyn today takes a gross taxable income of $150,000, and many don’t earn close to that.

The rich, though small in number are imitated by many.

The wannebes lease the high end cars, shop at the overpriced grocery on Coney Island Avenue and L, have high credit card balances and are behind on yeshiva tuition.

We unfortunatly have large numbers of struggling poor frum families who keep a low profile and lead simple lives without rent subsidies, but with Food Stamps and Medicaid

Just came from there. Looks very nice, but I found the prices high as expected. Somewhat disorganized today with usual start up problems. Opening was delayed from 10AM to noon. The meat looked good and was of course fresh on opening day, but priced high. The only good prices I saw were eggs @ $.99 and large pomegranates @ 2/$1. Some items had no prices, but in general lowe than Pomegranate and much higher than KRM. No one seemed to be buying much.

Unless there are sales I won’t be back.

Hard to believe “So my brother made his turkey for this shabbos (you know, the one your wife’s job gives her for free by thanksgiving). And of course, he has like 10 lbs of leftover turkey.”

Turkey, the most delicious bird created by Hashem, can certainly be eaten for a few days after Shabbos Kodesh along with the left over kigel and cholunt. The Chanukah goose leftovers just sit in the fridge.

Now “they” don’t get a chance to ear their leftovers since they are too busy going to Mickey D’s, Dominos and ordering Chinese takeout.
