I don’t think youtube or spotify has the latest cd’s.
My point was who has a problem paying what the singer actually ends up getting? why not just open a zelle or paypal account and everyone is happy?

    Here is how it works.

One of two things will happen.

    1) He will lose his money, have a car crash, etc. basically anything bad that happens to regular people, and everyone will say, this is because he worked on Shabbos!

    2) Nothing bad will happen, and people will say you can’t question the ways of Hashem.

So if it’s bad we know why, if nothing bad happens how can we know all of hashem’s calculations.

The Rav in Radin asked the Chofetz Chaim if “he’ll be alive when Moshiach comes”, he said “no” and “neither will you” (speaking to the Rav) “but Moshiach is born and alive now, as we speak”!!

I only buy from Yidden, so I don’t know about some of the stores mentioned.

In Brooklyn the cheapest by far is HATS PLUS 1368 Coney Island Ave

Don’t confuse it with a very expensive store on the same block.

I have many workers and never really had a problem.

although i once posed this question to a rav and he said “I don’t know”

question, male and female have to finish project together, working together in office is yichud, going to starbucks, or dinner, highly inappropriate. what does he do?

    Depends on why i left.

If blocked or had enough with the filtering process. I would open competing site, where the advertising is free, and the coffee room is 10x better.

Once YWN is out of business, they’ll realize, WE are the little engine that REALLY runs the business.

If i realized that I need a life, i would just stop reading the posts here, and not say a word. or maybe reveal ALL my names, lol joke, i only have one.

I know no one is listening, but here is another suggestion.

CLOSE THIS SITE DOWN EVERY WEEK FOR 24 HOURS!!!!

mods can pick the 24 hours, but ppl should have a time out, and maybe go back to dealing with live humans or learning, or even working.

We do this…..every Shabbos. We hope you too shut your computer then, and enjoy Shabbos as we do!

When things calm down, re-read WIY post. He meant no harm or disrespect to you.

    he wrote

“Id like to add to what tzippi said.”

so far agreeing with a nice comment

“NEVER let her hear you ever voice a complaint against Hashem Chas Veshalom”

his point, if parents tell kids make a bracha and don’t forget hashem loves us, and 2 minutes later, i have no money for pesach, why am i jewish? the kids always hear the last part.

“that will instantly undo so much of the growth and change that any therapist…will accomplish with her.”

he means IF and only IF you would complain, which he didn’t say you do, it would undo the work of the therapist, and you’re work on her as well.

on a side note reb moshe said the reason ppl weren’t frum after ww2 was for this reason, they got fired, came home and by the shabbos table complained it’s hard to be a jew.

He meant well, re-read it and tell me what you think.

    all the best!

in reply to: Regarding calling people by nicknames #719801

The halacha on nicknames, is talking about things like bozo, klutz etc.. (i know someone whose off the derech now, his nickname was bozo, he happened to be a very nice guy, it just stuck with him)

which if the name sticks even if the person says they don’t mind, they do, the person that started it will have a lot of explaining to do upstairs (or down)

it was never about avi or if you call a loved one darling etc..

I may be off base here, but this is what i think is needed.

Skip the dates, cars, open door close door, hotels, etc..

Take here to YWN Coffee room, show her some posts, ask her what do you think of this person, how about this person? one of those will be you, if she likes his thoughts, hashkafa, etc.. get married, if not move on. She’ll be the moderator from Hello

truth be told Trying my best did a great job and didn’t leave much for me to add, so I’ll keep it short.

what i eat is based on the Rambam and hence the torah, do i sometimes sneak in a steak, yes! I’m not perfect.

what i wear is also the torah, why don’t we wear pink suits? not yeshivas? what does that mean? means the torah frowns upon them, so we don’t wear them.

the halacha is to double wrap the food.

I would NOT use a treif microwave on a daily basis! buy a kosher one, or figure something else out. it’s OK to use the heter when traveling, vacation, flying, etc.. but on a daily basis?
