Chasan Sofer became chassidish. The Viener Rav,. Rav Lebovits, ztz’l also my rebbe, pronounded it as ee chassidish. The yeshiva also turned chassidish. You are right . It ia confusing. It proves there should be a difference, so I say it like the german uber. No mistake is made in laining by the chassidim. The litvishe say oo.
I also learned by Rav Simcha Bunim ztz’l but I don’t remember his pronunciatiion.

ubi, thinking more, it actually is not so confusing. Either נתנה היא ואמר הוא OR נתן הוא ואמרה היא.

Was the Ari Hakadash related to the Mahrshal? I think they wrote each other that they were not related.

Joseph, what you saying is not true. My rebbe the previous Matersdorfer Rav ztz’l had a pronounciation a hungarian u with dots on top. I don’t think it exists in english for male and ee for female. It exists in german as uber, over.

It says in Tehilim כי גמר חסיד The Szombathelyi Rav, Rav Katz ztz’l said that the Chasidim believe that they need no improvement, they are complete, once they are a chasid but the opposite needs to be true/ They are more scrutinized being a chasid.

ITFT, I heard a joke where a grandfather dies considerably younger than his grandson, so when they get resurrected as they died, they will say that, he is the grandfather who looks substantially younger, will make us laugh .

The chassidish pronounciation iof ee over oo is a problem because it does not distinguish between male and female. How does a chassidish cow go? mee mee instead of moo moo.

The Rambam questions if Hashem’s knowledge affects our free choice. He answers that it is beyond our understanding that it does not. I think Hashem knows how our mind operates and what our final decision will be without affecting our decision.

The question is what comes first Torah or avodah. The Litvish hold that Torah brings to avodah whereas the chassish hold that avodah betaharah brings to the burn to learn Torah. The best is to be a chassidish litvak which instills the burning for Torah.

It says להגיד בבקר חסדך ואמונך בלילות to tell your favor in the morning and belief at night. The meforshim explain when its going good, we can see the benevolence of Hashem, but when things are going badly, the only thing we can rely on is the belief in Hashem.

איזהו עשיר השמח בחלקו if a person appreciates what he has to gain the most benefit out of it, and does not desire what others have, will find fulfillment and happiness in his life. עשיר stands for עינים. שנים, ידים, רגלים.

Admor stands for אדונינו מורינו ורבינו could be a Rav who paskens shalos or a Rebbi who has chasidim. A Rav is not an inheried position but a Rebbi is, if no sons exist, the son in law usually inherits the position.

By taking part in the siyum is considered like learning as the GRA explains as the hidden part of siyum letters is the same as the revealed part. סמך יוד ו’ו מ’מ – ס-מך, י-וד, ו-ו, מ-מ.

coffee addict, you are mistaken. It does not mean that hatred that is not baseless is mutar just that the Torah wants us to resolve it by not keeping it bottled up in the heart by admonishing each other. This can only be done if there is a reason for the hatred. See the Yad Yoseph on the Ein Yaakov Yome 9. also the Rashbam on the pasuk, Vayikro 19,17.

Maybe through the above that we can come to the recognition of Hashem from our walking, we can explain the midrash on it which asks whether we can do kabolas ol malchus shomayim when walking, the midrash says that we cannot, we must stay still but the rest from veohavto we can either stand or walk. We can’t have the proper kavono when we walk even though it brings us to come to realize the existence of Hashem.

The Ramban asks, why doesn’t it say veohwvto reacha? He answers it is impossible to love your fellow man like yourself since a person is closest to himself. The Sefer Habris explains that the Torah commands him that what he expects his friend should do to him, he should do to his friend.

The Rabbenu Bechaye in Parshes Ki Siso says on ולא יהיה בהם נגף בפקוד אותם, if you look at the Jews as a whole, you find no faults in them, but if you count them normally, you separate the bad from the good. They say that is why Bolok only wanted Bilom to see part of the Bnei Yisroel, because Bilom cannot affect the whole. So as a whole, we love all Jews.

There is a Midrash peliah, אמרי נא אחותי את – מכאן ששוחטים לחולה בשבת, the Rav Chezkuni asks how do we know that Avraham Avinu will be killed. maybe they will commit adultary? Then they wil sin at every beila, but when they kill him will be one sin. Similarly, the Ran asks why do we slaughter for the sick on shabbos and don’t give him nevelah? Then he would sin with eating every kezayis. Therefore, it is better to do one sin then multiple and since Avraham Avinu was afraid they will kill him, we slaughter on shabbos rather than give nevalah.

    Noach:
Chasam Sofer says that if tzohar is a window or a precious stone is dependent whether we judge Noach for praise or shame. Only a truly pious person saved on his own zechusim can see the destruction of the wicked. Lot and his wife were not allowed to look back. If he judged for praise, it was a window, otherwise it was a precious stone, so he could not see through.
