No fair that GH comment gets deleted, so can’t fully understand GH’s position (seems like there was another comment that was even after my second comment)

“coffee seem to imply that fathers did not have respect for the mothers (or at least did not have to).“

    Aaq,

Exactly the opposite, they each had respect for each other

Where in my words do you see that?

“So true. First they asked to be allowed to leave the kitchen for a few hours a day. Then they wanted to go outside the house on one or two days other than shabbos.“

I’m speaking about the second wave of feminism in the sixties obviously

Do you really believe women couldn’t do those things beforehand?

You think women didn’t go shopping?
You think women didn’t have jobs?

    Bored teen,

When the parents were kids they knew who the boss was due to being potched and the mother having respect for the father

Nowadays due to society parents aren’t allowed to potch and feminists made it that women don’t have to respect their husbands

I’m not saying that potching was good but it was a “tool” that a father can use if the kid got out of line once or twice

    Just my humble opinion

It’s very hard when people are indoctrinated into believing the other side is either communists or fascists

It’s like the same with religion, every religion is taught to believe their’s is true and the others are false

People who live in the past tend to want to control life and are upset that things don’t go their way

Live in the present and learn to accept life as it is and Hashem knows what he’s doing better than you do

    “When did they say that?“

From YWN WhatsApp group from Wednesday

*WATCH:* White House Press Sec. Jen Psaki: “Our guidance has consistently been this: When you are in a high transmission area, which is everywhere in the country, you should wear a mask in indoor settings.”

    And she quoted the cdc

    Jackk,

I thought a higher court reinstated it, but anyways that doesn’t answer for other states

Hashem is trying to show us a lesson and I don’t think the answer is run away

Hashem is in control of our lives הכל בידי שמים and if Hashem decided you should get a zetz it won’t matter if it’s in America by an African American or by a Russian or Arab

I was in a hospital in Eretz Yisrael more than a decade ago because I drank the water at the Kosel (I learned to never do that again) (I thought it was something serious) anyways, I didn’t have money to pay so I told them that I’ll come back tomorrow right when I got back to the place I was staying at they called and said there was bacteria in my blood so I went back and was given a room to stay in without being hooked up to anything and I stayed there for three days and in the end they said it turned out to be there was bacteria in the needle (BH it didn’t go into me)

They charged me $3,000 but the view from my room was beautiful (always look at the bright side!)
