That’s what I’ve been thinking but kinda differently.

There are 2 parts of tznius. The actual halacha which is elbows, knees, collarbone. And then there is the image – the refined dignified look. So when people just say something is assur like sequins becuase on one person it wasn’t tznius, thats a problem.

As long as you are maintaining the right look within the framework of halacha (which is elbows, knees, collarbone) then its fine.

(And this goes with everything else as well. Everyone just immediately assurs everything cuz people can do bad stuff with it.)

Any school that is giving a full day of school today, is in my opinion brainless (and heartless). We could barely concentrate for 1/2 day…imagine sitting in class till 4-5!!!

Monday – cuz it’s Shushan Purim!!!!! (and then the teachers can pile on the work for Tuesday because you anyways have a day off, I mean who is partying on Monday?? :))

Friday – not complaining. But there is no reason why they should give off.

Tomorrow – it’s a fast!!!!! πŸ™ HAVE AN EASY FAST!!!!!!!!!!

How about the fact that only when there is a tragedy that the Jews band together but when everything is fine and dandy there is sooooo much disunion??

Instead of yelling about how the Jews in Israel don’t keep the Torah which won’t help anything, why not work on yourself (I’m not talking to someone in particular) and on Achdus so that we don’t need such tragedies to pull us together.

I heard in a shiur from someone who knows his stuff, that sayin ‘Oh my G-D’ is ossur mideoyrayso. People don’t seem to know this.

I learned in a shiur and saw inside the Torah and meforshim that adding on to the Torah is an issur deoraisa. People don’t seem to know this.

I say enjoy your teen years. Cuz they’re the years of your life your old enough (and hopefully mature enough) to do fun adultish things yet you don’t have the responsibilities of an adult (like a house to take care of, and kids…)

Sorry, didn’t really have time. Nothing happened :'(

(I’ll probably get yelled at for saying this) I really wanted to decorate the school for Valentines Day.

And for Purim Katan, I wasn’t in school and they didn’t do anything.

Heres an idea for computer savvy people (you gotta know how to write computer code and you need smart boards), write a code that will cause the Smart Board to do weird things, like either make it ask questions or have something just keep on popping up during class.

I am sooooo doing something for Rosh Chodosh Adar 2!!!!!!!

    HELP!!!!!!!!!!

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.

In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.

This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,

A and D ointment is awesome!!! It makes your lips normal in like 2 days and plus it looks like you’re wearing lip gloss.

I find that I only wanna pick my lips on Shabbos and have to do everything in my power not to. But when Motzei Shabbos comes, I don’t need to pick them anymore. Weird!!!

I am currently looking into bringing a video. Any contacts or leads would be helpful.

My sister was looking into doing that to raise money for her grades graduation trip, and it wasn’t worth it (at least the all girls ones), you had to pay for the video and per person, like they charge $10 per person so you would have to up it to like $20.

Wasn’t Yitzchak answered before Rivka because it’s harder to sometimes be frum, really frum with a love for mitzvos and all and not just a facade, when it’s expected of you.

BT’s get all this praise for becoming frum but FFB’s don’t get any recognition for staying frum and it’s hard sometimes. So I guess we do get credit too.

dogo – my friend told me about it that it happened to her brother’s friend or something. Why?

I just feel plain wierd sitting on the subway if there are a lot of other older people then me. UNLESS there are a lot of empty seats or I really need to sit down cuz I was walking forever somewhere.

But as my friends once pointed out while we were on the subway once, nobody is going to sit in that seat anyway. Like if its in between your friend and a stranger. But I don’t know, it still feels weird.

I always say I’m sooo glad I’m not a guy. Uch imagine having to go out 3 times a day in the freezing cold!!!!! So PBA I can understand why its hard to do it.

But in my house…my father can go to sleep at 1 and wake up at 6 to learn and daven. He instilled in us a chasivus for davening, never to be late (if he wants to catch a minyan at 5:30 he’s outta the house by 5), not to rush into davening, not to talk during davening…

So PBA if right now you don’t have kids to be a role model for, first of all you might not know who else is looking up to you and 2 – you don’t automatically change once you’re married. So if you do want davening to be a big thing for your kids then try and start now.

    Good luck!!!

I agree with cleverjewishpun that people aren’t accepting of each other’s differences. When people first came to America the divide between Orthodox and Shomer Torah and Mitzvos and the irreligious Jews. I think thats why the Orthodox Jews weren’t accepting of the irreligious Jews since they needed to protect themselves.

But nowadays, things are different and we need to be more accepting. If a school teaches that people who work or have a TV or who’s father wears jeans or whatever aren’t good Jews and frum Jews – THAT’S NOT TRUE!!!! And it’s not the way WE do it and they alienate people who have slightly different Hashkafos…

People need to learn to live and let live. If they’re not doing something assur (that was written in the Torah and not in your book) LEAVE THEM ALONE!!!

If you don’t want to marry someone who wears jeans, fine don’t no one is forcing you to but that doesn’t mean they’re a bad person.

If you don’t want to have a TV in your home, don’t but just because someone does have a TV in their home doesn’t make them any less frum than you.

Other schools better not catch on, it’s not fun to be woken up on a snow day with your mother telling you, you have a class now πŸ™‚ But in some ways its better, class in pj’s πŸ™‚

Ya πŸ™‚ but the phone is also the perfect time for Purim shtick, people started playing music, blowing on the phone (causing static), teachers were trying to get new numbers cuz they thought the line was bad. Imagine at least 50 kids on one phone at once.

The bright side is that unless a teacher takes attendance during the class or at the end you can join in the beginning, like just for attendance and then hang up and no cuts πŸ™‚

I just saw a hysterical clip of this old man who goes into this fruit store and is like talking about how his blackberry is frozen but it’s like the berry – blackberry and all these things that if you were just listening to them you would think that they’re talking about technology but they’re talking about fruits.

It’s hilarious, and you see how much of technology we get from fruits…hmmm wonder why that is.
