    “Bluris is a chup”

I have heard many shiurim from Rabbi Reisman Shlita, where “bluris” has come up, and he goes out of his way to point out that what the gemara/halacha refers to as “bluris” is not what we commonly refer to a “tshup”. It is more like a pony tail, as a bluris is something that comes across the top of head towards the back. (Do not infer from this anything regarding Rabbi Reisman and a growing tshup)

You and a number of gedolim (no, I am not putting you in the category of those gedolim) have stated such an issur. Many others disagree with you, and those gedolim. Be that as it may, and I have no desire to get into a halachic discussion, its been discussed, argued and rehashed ad naseum, your argument that the current hatred from the arabs is centered on the establishment of the state, then why dont you put forth the argument that the state be dismantled and the reigns given over to the current PA leadership, or the current hamas leadership, after all, once there is no more medina, they have nothing to hate us for. Lastly, if you truly believe that giving the land to turkey will not result in jewish blood being shed, you must really be drinking spiked kool aid. Can I have a sip, must really be good stuff.

Health. I didnt read it either. Moslems do not like jews, especially religious moslems and “the land” has nothing to do with it. Just ask the moslems in Indonesia, Malaysia and Pakistan who never came within 1000 miles of the middle east.

If you are so eager to live under turkish rule, why dont you pick up and move to istanbul?

“but to pretend that the Medina is the Savior of all our problems -is just drinking the Kool-aid of the Zionists!”

Has anyone on this thread made such a claim?

“Before WW1, the Goyim and Jews lived quite peacefully”

Yep, prior to WWI the yidden of the old yishuv sat around the campfire and sang kumbaya with them. Perhaps they discussed these and similar citations from the koran and how they foster peace and brotherhood between the moslem arabs and their jewish neighbors.

.O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and Christians for friends.

. Because of the wrongdoing of the Jews…. And of their taking usury … and of their devouring people’s wealth by false pretenses. We have prepared for those of them who disbelieve a painful doom

. The resurrection of the dead will not come until the Muslims will war with the Jews and the Muslims will kill them; … the trees and rocks will say, “O Muslim, O Abdullah, here is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.

Oh, and as far as Turkey is concerned, their foreign minister is on the record as having said hamas is not a terrorist organization, was once awarded and accepted the khaddafi prize for human rights (not sure how one qualifies for nomination) and has continually refused to acknowledge a UN Security Council resolution to freeze assets belonging to Yasin al Qadi, a leading financier of global terrorism. You sure you want to put millions of jews under his control? You might have a beef with “the medina”, but you might want to reconsider who you dump its citizens on once the dismantling takes place.

AviK. I was replying to a specific statement. Am basicly looking for clarification of what it means by the one who wrote it.

“Noone here is wishing for it’s destruction, just the dismantling.”

    apushatayid

How do you propose the process of dismantling takes place? Once whatever it is that should be dismantled, is dismantled, what will remain? Will something be erected in its place? Is that of no concern, so long as dismantling occurs?

Yes, gedolim of all stripes respect and honor each other, very much. This despite the fact that they wear very different head coverings. Head covering are not important to gedolim, only the peons who are looking for strife.

It should be pointed out that the moshol is coming from the vantage point of non jews. Their standards of proper and modesty are far different from ours.

As an aside, men wore wigs as part of their proper attire while in the kings courtyard. Should we adopt that standard today?

Teacher is right. Kids should go barefoot in the classroom. Why should the teacher have to tie their shoes. In fact, in the younger grades they should go without pants and skirts so the teachers dont have to help them take them off and put them on before or after they use the bathroom. In fact, if parents kept their kids home from school the teachers wouldnt have to deal with any of the kids’ problems and they will have plenty of time to teach.

There is always NJ Transit Bus. I dont live in Passaic and have no idea where the Passaic Bus Terminal is, but a quick search on the NJ Transit site shows you can catch a bus at 10:10 and be at Passaic Bus Terminal in less than 50 minutes. There are also options to catch bus back to Port Authority and get bus back out towards Passaic. They run a lot more often than the Suffern Line that late at night.

Wolf is correct, if confronted by “proof” texts the avg. yeshiva bachur would be lost. But it is not the proof texts that snare the ignorant, it is the concepts themselves. I dont remember if I read this on the outreach judaism site or jews for judaism site, many unaffliated and ignorant (of judaism and what it means) jews do not know, for example, that the “golden rule” (aka love thy neighbor) has its origins in the torah. This type of ignorance (along with other factors – often social, is why missionaries are found on all college campuses) is the misisonaies greatest asset and strength.

As for debating one, unless you are perfectly able to maintain your calm despite going round and round in circles (much missionary “logic” uses circular reasoning), dont start. They will, as a general rule, never lose their cool andonce you do, they will point out that they who are filled with “grace” are able to keep calm while you who are not, can not.

“It contained quotes from many gedolim, inlcuding the Kedushas Tzion of Bobov, The Satmar Rov, and many others.”

How many of the Gedolim quoted in this kuntres are alive today and are able to speak for themselves? How many of the gedolim quoted have einiklech or talmidim alive today who are quite capable of telling us the opinions of the forebears and did not.

Let me guess, this pamphlet was put out by R’ Anyonymous Shlita.

If it bothers you so much, don’t wring your hands and whine about it on a public forum, speak to the female in question, her husband, her father, rebbetzin or rav. Here you accomplish nothing and based on previous posts, I agree with others you mentioned it, come across as very trollish.. Speaking to one of the aforementioned people might yield results.

And yes, halacha is clear about the rules of tznius. It rules regulating the bashing of entire groups of women, publicly berating and mussaring them, are also clear.

    Where are you leaving from?

Met Life stadium was made to host 90,000+ people at a time and there is ample parking available for football games. I assume that all parking will be open for this event. Many busses leave from Port Authority towards the area of the stadium, log onto the PA site and get info. NJ Transit rail also stops in Secaucus but I don’t think it gets close enough to the stadium to walk (I may be wrong. This info is verifiable from the NJ Transit site as well.)

At the risk of sounding like a parrot, this thread is foolish. It doesn’t matter who the manhig hador is. What matters is, who your personal manhig is (I hope I am not guilty in assuming you have a manhig). The manhig hador doesn’t answer the shaylos that arise in your kitchen, that come up with respect to the chinuch of your children, your shalom bayis, shidduchim and all other aspects that affect your daily living.
