Just wake up every morning and look around everything you see could make a children’s book. The problem is we do not see.

    big menorah, big xmas tree,

I think we just want to put a menorah to compete with their holidays, if chanukah would have fallen in the summer nobody would have thought of putting it in a big display. People want to tell the goyim we also have something to celebrate this time of the year. Do we really need to celebrate chanukah like is our xmas?

I guess there is positive and negative in everything. It is up to us to know how and when. My advice to people if the young kids enter facebook well it is not the best, they want to show their friends how many friends they have and accept anybody.

There are a lot of goyim that have different religion and do not celebrate this holiday so why tell them HC if they might not even be that. And believe me they would get insulted. So happy holidays is best.

Well let me tell you, I love the idea that bat mitzvas were not so big when my daughters were growing up since it saved me a lot of money but in reality now I think to myself “why not” just because they are girls they do not deserve the same recognition as boys once they reach this beautiful age.

I think the items get kedushah from the tzadikim that touche those items, this also goes the same way, that car is full of tumaah and just because the rich feels it is worth something it is not , probably he will end up loosing all his money from the tumaah of that car. Something like that has no Brachah.

I think no matter what a daughter in law has it inside of her to disagree with her mother in law, and a mother in law no matter what never agrees with her daughter in law. It is just natural.

in reply to: A Wife’s Obligation Towards Her Husband & Kids #902260

Well I know some women that think they have no obligation whatsover to their husbands. They think their husbands owe them everything just for being there, so it really upsets me because a marriage is a two way contract and like a husband provides the material necessities in the house I think a wife should provide a spiritual and healthy environment in the house. The reason for the mitzvah of making Challah in the house is to make the mitzvah of making the house warm with brachah and always to have the shechinah in the house. A woman should inspire her family to go in the way of the Torah and make sure the children do their homework and keep a clean and pleasant home. A woman should always be cheerful and encourage the whole family in the way of the Torah, She should keep a clean home and always be clean herself, keep her children clean. So since the husband provides the parnassah she should provide the right environment for the house to be a Torah home.

Nobody forces people in to marriage in the litvish world but I know people convince people to get marry out of convenience. “Doesn’t a bachur look for a girl that could support him”. If that is not convenience then what is it? Doesn’t a girl look for a boy with good yichus? If that is not convenience then what is it? What about rich looking for rich. Well we might not be in the middle ages but I know for sure this still in our times. Ashkenaz with ashkkenaz, sepharady with sepharady. And please make sure they come from a good family that they know from the old country. If that is not convenience tell me What is this?

I am a mother in law and as a moher in law no matter how good a treat my daughter in law she always thinks that everything I do is to put her down, if she asks me for a recepie and it doesnt come out the same way I cook she thinks I do it in purpose becuase i want to see her down. Isn’t that silly?

Unhappy couples always existed with divorce or no divorce, people stay together because they are afraid of what the people are going to say and worry about their children shidduchim that doesn’t mean it is the correct way, many children suffer in the house and see the bad samples of a bad marriage. Should a couple stay together for the sake of the people and children and have a misserable existance? It is a very big question, well I live in a catholic country and divorce is definitly forbidden by their church and I always think to myself the Torah is the wise one. Hashem knows that in certain cases divorce is necessary and our Torah allows it. So if Hashem through the Torah allows divorce why should we stigmatise divorce and divorcees. They need our love and help not our rejection if they went through a divorce is probably because they had a reason.

haifagirl. a person can get a liver transplant from a live donor or “death Donor” my brother in law makes kidneys and livers transplants and he is the one that made me aware that people are really alive when they donate their organs. He says most people are not even aware or do not want to be aware that a person dies in order for them to live.

in reply to: Jewish Doctor Death Penalty #668893

if this is the case people do not have any idea what a transplant is. For a person to receive a liver, kidney or other type of transplant the person is kept alive until ready to transplant at the moment the plugs are turn off and then remove the necessary organs so do people kill people for their organs? The organs do not come from a death person they come from a death brain person whatever that means. So does anybody receiving any type of transplant considered a murdered . Are people really aware?

skates I think you are one hundred percent right people love to suggest or just really talk and as soon as they leave they forget. In the meantime your hopes go up for nothing, next time you see them they forgot about the whole situation and that is the end of the story. Maybe they asked and they guy didn’t like the idea so they just make believe that they forgot. Who knows don’t worry Hashem knows why and that is the most important part, if it was meant it would have happened. Do not rush to marriage out of desperation Hashem has your zivug waiting for you and every single person in this world. May you find your partner soon.
