☕ DaasYochid ☕Participant
Best answer given so far is HaLeiVi’s (part 1).
Still, why couldn’t the Ri give a case nogeia to this ger, such as if he is mekadesh his father’s wife? The Ran and Ritva do, in fact, give such a case.

☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantOf course conversions done en masse to fill political quotas are invalid, as is the “bais din” which would perform them.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantROB, did you read the article which I refer to above? If you accept that set of facts, none of your arguments hold up.
I’m also surprised that you don’t appreciate what damage having hundreds (or more) false geirim around can do to klal Yisroel.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantI thank you, kind sirs.

Some (certainly not all) of the quotes you’ve brought from seforim, IMHO were not meant in the context you put them in, and some of the quotes from posters and moderators you’ve brought here were not meant as they seem when not in their original context.
But despite the element of truth, I said it more to be humorous than critical. I am enjoying this lighthearted thread.

You can add the following, though:
“PAA, you have made taking quotes out of context into an art form.”
(DaasYochid)
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantTypical of what?
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantSo in other words, most boys are horrible.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantYes, but whose definition of normal?
I am curious, Ofcourse, in your experience, what percentage of unsuccessful shidduchim are ended by the boy, and what percentage by the girl?
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantAlthough, if my daughter were 10′, I’d reconsider.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantSee Kovetz Igros Chazon Ish, 1-20-4.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantOr wives.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantMacaroons?

I don’t know what kind of education he had before he became a bandit…
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantBump! Bump! Bump!
Did you ever ride a Wump?
We have a Wump with just one hump.
But we know a man called Mr. Gump.
Mr. Gump has a seven hump Wump.
just jump on the hump of the Wump of Gump.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantSo, Gamanit, the first halacha is not to do what crazybrit suggested.

Keitzad?
They learn a lot the whole year so that they can be mekayeim yoseir m’limudom in the best manner!
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantDoesn’t matter, the pot’s treif.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantExcept maybe the stupid boys and stupid girls who can’t get any stupid dates.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantThe problem with a public database is that it would be very incomplete.
Shadchanim sharing lists sounds like a good idea, but that’s very different than the OP’s suggestion of a list available to anyone, which is not a good idea.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantWhat are you talking about?
Chrome requires 21 permissions, the YWN app 9. And Chrome requires the same identity permission as YWN, plus another one.
I’m not pushing the YWN app; I think it’s useless. But I think you need to get your facts straight.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantJfeeds doesn’t require special permissions, but you read the articles on the sites, through a browser, which does require permissions, and it defeats the purpose as far the OP is concerned.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantI don’t think it requires any more permissions than any other browser. The app is essentially a browser set to YWN with the address bar removed.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantYWN has a mobile site. They have an app too, but it’s basically the mobile site without an address bar.

☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantI think this has been suggested before.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantThis is “Yeshiva” World. Yeshivos have coffee rooms, where guys, besides drinking coffee, shmooze.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantThis is also printed in the book “Q&A – Thursday Nights with R’ Avigdor Miller” (slightly different phrasing).
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantGavra, I’m very insulted. You don’t think I’m cool either way?
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantOK, next (since I seem to be the only one who thought this was like real Mad Libs, anyone can write the story after someone fills in the verbs. I won’t bother numbering it, because it makes no difference if a word is skipped anyhow. The mods should really change the thread title.):

☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantOr better middos?
☕ DaasYochid ☕Participantthe question would have been brought before the Acharonim and it is entirely possible that the idea of a Jew being able to escape liability for his/her debts/damages would have been laughed out of the beit midrash.
Why on earth would you assume that? If that were the case, there would be no reason why contemporary poskim wouldn’t similarly reject the escape from liability afforded by incorporation.
And the assumption that LLCs would be assur is entirely flawed to begin with; if indeed it were not possible for a corporation to escape halachic debt, there are other aspects to corporations; not every entity which does business with a frum corporation would be subject to the psak of a bais din.
☕ DaasYochid ☕Participant??? ????? ???? ?? ?????
This should be the biggest issue. Good job in not causing machlokes. If we can all be tolerant of our religious differences, we can certainly try to be tolerant of our stylistic and cultural differences.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantCharlie, you finally stumbled across a genuine application of dina d’malchusa dina, and totally missed it.

☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantIt should be noted that R’ Moshe and the Aruch Hashulchan both did make halachic distinctions between hair and other erva.
☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantVery civilly, I ask,
is there not ONE thing that this administration did right? ONE that all of the partisans can admit to? Just ONE? Not one itty bitty ONE? ONE? ONE THING????
Everything that this Pres. has done is terrible and corrupt. It all smells like three weeks ago’s left over cholent, ALL OF IT?
(Sorry, but the inability to judge things objectively is a phenomenon of the human condition which has nothing to do with democrat vs. republican or conservative vs. liberal.)
☕ DaasYochid ☕Participant☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantAnd the mod’s even more (some mod, who will probably delete this post, ahem, “fixed” my original template).

And I think Moshiach would come if the Yankees dressed more tznius (waiting for Oomis to correct my grammar).
