Mostly, I said it because I thought you’d like the line.
Some (certainly not all) of the quotes you’ve brought from seforim, IMHO were not meant in the context you put them in, and some of the quotes from posters and moderators you’ve brought here were not meant as they seem when not in their original context.
But despite the element of truth, I said it more to be humorous than critical. I am enjoying this lighthearted thread.

I’m not pushing the YWN app; I think it’s useless. But I think you need to get your facts straight.
Jfeeds doesn’t require special permissions, but you read the articles on the sites, through a browser, which does require permissions, and it defeats the purpose as far the OP is concerned.
I don’t think it requires any more permissions than any other browser. The app is essentially a browser set to YWN with the address bar removed.
YWN has a mobile site. They have an app too, but it’s basically the mobile site without an address bar.
